This store is always clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a great selection of toys and treats as well as a dog bathing area that's open for self wash. My dog is crazy with anxiety and the staff are always warm and welcoming when we stop in. Staff will even help with carrying large bags of food out to your car which is extra helpful when your dog is a psycho kamikaze with cars in the parking lot!

Of the current staff, I cannot recommend Dr Nickerson highly enough; she is a very caring, compassionate and supportive person and obviously has the animal's welfare as her top priority. Recently I had to euthanize my beloved dog who had bone cancer, and she went above and beyond to help us in a very painful and difficult situation. At this point you may be wondering why I'm not giving a high rating. Be advised that the practice apparently has a zero strike policy if you do something they don't like. Two days after losing my dog, I received a termination letter from them, alleging various things, at least one of which was patently false. My guess is that during a highly charged, emotional time, either my husband or I ruffled someone's feathers. It certainly seems an excessive reaction given my experience as a participant in the situation. Again, I would recommend Dr Nickerson to anyone, but I absolutely cannot recommend this practice as a whole. Two paws down.

After a couple minutes, I was worried it wouldn't work out. But, Julie made it happen! Eventually, he was coming to her and he was even licking her face mask. She trimmed all his nails and was careful to not trim too much so his nerve endings weren't touched.
