Tourists coming through Plymouth, four of us ended up in Dirty Water on our way to the very underwhelming Plymouth Rock. We were welcomed in, given a bit of a mini-tour and introduced it the different spirits. I got a whiskey old fashioned and the others got gin & tonics and rum punch, all very good. Without an easy way to get bottles back to Chicago we left empty-handed. Our loss. In Plymouth definitely stop in Dirty Water! read more

So maybe we did go to Plymouth just for the distillery and not the local sightseeing but I'll never admit it! Found it easily enough and there is a parking lot across the street. We tasted a selection of whisky. Liked The Bachelor single malt and the Indie Ferm. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about products. They also have a variety of gin and other spirits. We were able to purchase a bottle of both of our favorite tastes. read more

On a long weekend to celebrate family, we stopped in after breakfast to have an early afternoon cocktail. The guy working was very kind and helpful in explaining his distillery techniques and flavoring. They had two spritzer infused drinks on tap that we enjoyed, along with a old fashion. The open air bar was delightful and inviting. They don't have food but offer food trucks on the weekend, not sure what times or days - view their other comments or website for more information. Dirty Water Distillery is a total hidden gem in Plymouth. I've passed their building hundreds of times (no exaggeration!) but I have never stopped in and here are my reasons. 1. There is little to no parking that is by there, so the foot traffic is a bit diminished- but take my word for it, park and get those feet moving! It's still close to everything, and after a few samples you should be walking for a bit instead of hopping in the car anyways! 2. While it's clearly downtown, its a bit at the end of the street to where all the hustle and bustle is happening. But that's perfect! It's a calm, relaxing atmosphere that you can enjoy with family and friends while having a conversation without it being too loud! 3. When I saw the word "Distillery" I thought, ugh no thanks not for me- but that was such a bad move on my part. They have something for everyone. Numerous vodkas, gins, and whiskeys..oh and Plymouth Beer Company is there too- Surprise! So, get over there. Stay a bit and try their delicious creations. Personally, I loved all the vodka I tried, which included Cucumber Lime, Ginger, Green Tea, Coffee, Chocolate, and Vanilla. I'm not a gin or whiskey drinker- but its safe to assume if they had amazing vodka, I'm sure the latter is true for the gin, whiskey, and beer! Oh P.S- Did I mention they also sell a bunch of handcrafted products from local artists? Good drinks & giving back to the community? Hurry and take my money! read more

Don't bother. They're just rude. Tried for the first time today. We walked in and read all the signs. They don't have any menus. I asked what's available and the women said everything is on the Wall. We asked what she recommends, and she seemed put out. She recommended something that's not on the wall! How would we know. We then saw the couple that came in after us order a sampler. Again not on the wall. When we asked to try that, again we thought we were interrupted her day. No one in the place! I've been to plenty of distilleries, don't bother unless you want to be treated rudely. read more

Was in town for my SIL's Bachelorette Party at the Plymouth Bay Winery and after our tasting there they sent us over here for the hard stuff... It was a cute little place, guys there were super knowledgeable and friendly, Im not a Whiskey/Bourbon Type of girl so I tried several vodkas but again, post surgery shots dont really work for me anymore and I dont truly LOVE hard stuff solo... But this is def a cute place for Date night, girls night out. read more

it's not often that i write a purely negative review about a business, but Dirty Water Distillery really leaves a lot to be desired, especially considering its proximity to countless other amazing restaurants & bars. first off, while the name Dirty Water may be a reference to the Standells' hit song, it's actually a much more acute observation of the space in general; it's filthy. like, Robert Irvine on Restaurant Impossible yelling at the owners for not caring, dirty. not only was the floor covered in dirt, the bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned in well over a week. due to the lack of cleanliness alone, we will not be back. the one beer my husband had from LlamaNama was very underwhelming (mint chocolate "stout"), and the only non alcoholic offering they had for me was tap water. the place was crawling with kids, and was just generally not well defined, decorated, or managed. the one employee working had to run from the bar on the first floor of the distillery, to the back bar of the "brewery" and it was very obviously disorganized and not set up for a great guest experience. this place has a ton of potential, but none of it is realized. i do not recommend. read more

Dirty Water was a great stop on a day trip to Plymouth. They had a number of different whiskeys, vodkas, and runs available to sample and shared space with craft brewer Plymouth Beer Company. Samples of the beer was available as well. Currently they can't sell pours of either beer or spirits but they are working on the licensing. The gentlemen working were helpful and knowledgeable and the different flavored spirits were really good. I wouldn't hesitate to stop in again if in the area. read more

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this gem on the way to see Plymouth Rock (waste of time, this Distillery was the high light of that day trip. The rock sucks). We wandered inside and found Steve - one of the owners - inside shuffling stuff around. We started asking a couple questions and it turns out it looks pretty empty because it's a fairly new establishment. He gave us an impromptu but totally badass tour and let us sample their signature Nosh Vodka and What Knot Rum. But where he REALLY sold us was on was the Velnias Honey Liquer. Oh. My. Liver. We bought two bottles and it didn't make it past the first hour of being home. Not only does this place put out a kickass product, but the atmosphere and owners are down to earth and personable. I wish I lived closer so I could stock my shelves with their products on the regular! read more

Great spot for a unique distillery in the heart downtown Plymouth - around the corner from some famous rock?

Happened upon the owner of the distillery by chance at another great local venue, Nosh. Invited us to tour the distillery before leaving town. What a great find! After some delicious samplings of ginger flavored vodka, amber rum and spiced honey liqueur, we brought home several bottles. Delicious, reasonably priced and served by a friendly staff. What more can you ask? We will definitely be back before the Holidays. read more

Dirty Water Distillery is a fun place to hang out and try quality liquor and beer. My favorite vodka flavors were the coffee and the chocolate! The staff is also super friendly, especially Angela, who was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions for possible drinks with the different vodkas! We felt very welcome and I would recommend stopping by if you are looking for trying different alcohol in a relaxed atmosphere! read more

Super delicious tasting of great vodkas and rums. Signage is hard to see but once you're there it's a nice open indoor warehouse, they have a huge selection for tasting and good pricing. We picked up a bottle, then brought our friends back the next day to try some more! read more
