Great place to shop, horrible place to sell your collectibles. You're better off going to a pawn shop for the latter. Otherwise, its great for what it is. It seems as though for some collectibles they just go on eBay and see what it sells for in order to price the items, which is unfortunate because some items are priced WAY above what they should be. Considering that there aren't a lot of brick and mortar shops around here for collectibles, and retro games, you're left with either scouring the interwebs for what you're looking for, or pay the Disc Replay price. All in all, maybe retro 90's merch trends will die down so that the prices will go down, but not likely any time soon. read more

Absolute lack of customer service...most of my games I've sold here I know the value and feel like I'm getting conned almost...I asked a simple question if they could help with seeing if my games work...and they said "we are swamped" it's not a service we offer...it is a service you offer because you do it everytime someone gives you anything...you're supposed to convince me into selling them...it's up to me to say yes...absolutely awful customer service especially the guy with the beard and glasses seems like a genuine lazy con artist...will be avoiding this disc replay at all costs...absolute garbage selection as well compared to highland read more

First off, I want to say FUCK DISC REPLAY IN ORLAND PARK, IL I make the drive to come here when I need something. 3 years ago I went there, and it was twice I dealt with some dweeb who apparently feels powerful when he interrupts customers but when I confronted him about the fuckup that HIS GUY did that was a mistake and I was not leaving without my money back, hey acted like a total cunt and kept interrupting, had to go ALL the way in the back and pay me 400 bucks in cash. Excuse me for having a career and life and not knowing what video games are, fuckface, he doesn't like to deal with customers but to anyone..... GO TO THE MERRIVILLE LOCATION! yes it may be a little small or tad of a drive, but the people who work there, management and ambience overall I've experienced... is absolutely awesome! No problems, no complications, no fuckups, no attitude, just respect that goes both ways. I usually get things here or Microsoft but I love coming here and it's worth the 40 minute drive. My absolute favorite place to buy DVDs and CDs and games. I can't even think the last time I went elsewhere for these things! Occasionally my son and I write down movies we are interested in and once a month go out to Disc Replay and sure enough, they have everything, and the prices are fabulous! The used condition is mint in my opinion. Games are 70%-80% cheaper than anywhere else, we have Xbox and Ps2. I have sold CDs and VHS tapes and made exchanges, hassle free. Not only do they buy compact discs from you, which I can never stress enough is a hard thing to find these days, but they also have things that are virtually nonexistent anywhere you go anymore. For example: they have Atari games! Atari games are hard to come by in stores and have been since like 1988. They even have Sega Master System games, which for those of you who don't know, came before Sega Genesis and competed with regular NES, but didn't do well in the US. They have DVD's as well. Also an array of other video games and systems, old and modern. I suggest this place, plus it's right across from SouthLake Mall. read more

I have been going to Disc Replay forever! I have a crap ton of VHS from here...if that tells you just how long. But the funny thing- some of the same workers are still there. Yes- the place is that good. It is always neat and organized- and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They sell a nice assortment of movies, tv series, music, games, even the gaming systems. My son is not a big fan--- so take the family... save some bucks... enjoy some cool tunes. read more

Great place that'll buy your games. They bought 3 NDS games, 3 GBA games, and a DVD from me for like $43.25. Our discs were too scratched too, and the ones that weren't were too mainstream to be worth much. Like, they don't buy stuff such as Madden 05 or NBA 07 because there are newer versions. They also have a disc repairing machine, so I might go there again sometime to get some of my favorite games repaired. read more

this place is ok for buying used items, but be aware of what some of the items sell for used online and such because there is a few items that are over-priced here and there. it's a lot better than Lame Stop if you are buying or selling video games, as far as movies and cd's , well it's here and there, some deals can be better online. read more

Disc Replay (or at least the one in Merrilville) is a fairly small store that might be hard to see if you're not looking out for it, but if you do see it, you're in for a treat. Disc Replay is a store for movies/DVDs, games, and music ranging from both old and new. That's a pretty good deal for someone who wants to pick up a copy of Avatar and buy a Nintendo 64 system. Just about everything they sell is fairly priced, based on the years they were made. And unlike stores like Gamestop they have really good trade-in values as well. The workers are nice and patient and they know what they're stuff when it comes to their merchandise. As Disc Replay proves, you don't have to have a big building to have a good store. read more
