Very poorly run with terrible service in a heartless manner. They've aligned themselves with vendors with the same ethics; poor business plan on their part. My son took their advice and bought the cheaper head phones with his own savings. Wasn't working properly so I contacted the vendor who is in Denmark. Only way to contact them is email. After three attempts over two months with no response I Approached the Disc Replay store for assistance and they completely separated themselves from the situation. They cited they have a strict 30-day return/exchange policy. Ok, I spent more time reaching out to their vendor FOR THEM to resolve the problem; Still no answer to this day. Oh, did anybody hear about the country being shut down? Illinois was/is for two months. Guess that doesn't fit into their policy. Do yourself a favor, shop Amazon or go to Best Buy....they will actually understand and appreciate your business/situation. Keep gaming, just not with Disc Replay. read more

Great selection of items, poor selection of staff members. The petite blonde employee looks like she is the only person doing any real work. The tie dyed version of Waldo was helpful as well. The owner might want to invest in some training for the rest of the staff to encourage them to build some social skills. If you don't have any manners or social skills why are you working in a customer service or retail job? But nice effort trying to hide behind your computers and look like you're busy. Maybe they should section off that area with a separate wall so the customers don't intimidate the employees with direct eye contact. And let's not use the excuse of being a nerd, geek, or eccentric because that doesn't mean you're weird and people are judging you unfairly and people just don't understand you. Your lack of social skills and general home training is pushing away nerds and geeks coming into your store looking for products that you offer. The substandard staff members must be employed here because they aren't able to function in any other environment. read more

I have shopped at this location pretty steadily for the last two years and had zero complaints. Being an avid gamer, there really was nowhere cheaper. However, I went in recently and was attempting to turn in a game for store credit. I had won a xbox game as a prize in an arcade, but already owned the title, so I decided to turn the new copy in for store credit. When the employee saw that the game was still in it's wrapping, he refused to let me trade it. I was told by the employee it is store policy to not accept a wrapped game without a receipt. My problem was not with the policy. In fact, the policy is a good idea. It can help limit or even prevent dishonest practices. My problem was the condescending employee that was "helping" me. Being treated like a criminal is not something a customer enjoys when shopping. So after I was told about the policy, the employee (who was not wearing a name tag) actually suggested I come back the next day and sell the game then. When a customer wants to sell a game, they should not leave the store feeling like they were treated as some desperate hooligan. I can say that sopping here will not be an option for me any longer. Dealing with such an unprofessional employee and then being advised on ways to circumvent "important" company policies is not my ideal way to shop. read more

Great store that always has tons of used DVDs, CDs and videogames at great prices. They even carry some used gaming systems - which is great when I need an extra controller for the rapidly aging X-Box. read more

I never give 5 stars. But I love disc replay. Never went anywhere else but the Naperville location. And yes I've seen them "hang out". But do you want a job or do you want money? Disc replay doesn't seem like work. It seems like going to your friends house and get paid to talk about video games, movies, etc. Occasionally you sell or buy. That's a place I'd love to work, sorry, a place I'd love to make money at. I've been there so often they know me by name. If it weren't regulation they wouldn't take my id. They have good quality movies, cds, video games, because, do you want to play games that you know might not play well? They don't. I was going to buy a lotr movie. They would not sell it as the disc had a crack in it. They lost out on the money they bought it for. Now you can say, well they can afford it. But how many stores will do that? Oh this broke, or this is old, or spoiled, we cannot sell it to you. Normally not. Normally they don't need to, but how many do that? Not many. Stores don't care. Disc replay does. I had some blu-ray movies that weren't the best. They had some scratches. They took them. They really shouldn't. But they help out when they can. read more
