We stopped by Disc Replay to sell my son's Nintendo Switches after being referred there from another store. The store felt friendly and welcoming, and the staff were patient while checking everything out. They explained that they don't refurbish items, only resell, so because one of the controllers had a sticky button and a worn joystick pad, they couldn't accept the consoles. It made sense, and they were clear about it. Even though we didn't end up selling, they were still helpful and took the time to guide us, which I appreciated. It is next to TJ Maxx so I stop by and see maybe I will find something I want. It is almost like a clone of Gamespot but with more vintage games and more hardware for sale. DO NOT SELL TO THESE PEOPLE! on 3/1/26 i came in and dropped off a box of movies being DVD, blue ray and a cd. i was told that it would be a day or so until they could give me a price on what they would take however i was never contacted at all and it appears that the clerk who took my movies incorrectly saved my number they put 953 when my number is 957. due to not being contacted some of my movies were sold however the rest was thrown away due to their 3-day hold policy. after contacting the store to see the problem. the problem was that my number was not saved correctly even though my account is based off my phone number. so to say the least yes its partially my fault however its not my fault that someone in the store screwed up my number and now ive lost some of my DVDs/ blue rays. no help was given and and nothing will be done per the stores one words. they can't and won't do anything to fix their mistake. read more

Me and my dad love video games ,current and retro, but other retro game stores have a very small selection compared to disc replay , we found all of the games we wanted and more , and the staff was very helpful in helping us pick out some great games . There's 2 Video Game stores in Troy's Oakland plaza but we all know the Disc Replay is the clear champ by far! There's no competition price wise and certainly no competition on the customer service either! When you have excellent staff members that are willing to help you test and purchase 70+ items with a smile no matter how long it takes, there really isn't anyone that can compete! Extremely grateful for the help I received from store manager Jake (who even stayed later than scheduled to help me.) and all the other staff members at the wonderful Troy location! Please, please, believe me when I say that Disc Replay is one the best video game stores ever! I'm not just saying this to be nice, it's the objective truth! Just once I want to walk into one of these and not have it smell like Snoop's tour bus. Today was made even more unpleasant by the Gen Z'er clerk who admonished me for judging-- and in fact judged me, for saying it reeked. They could also stand to stay current on 4k disc prices. They're asking above retail for almost every 4k disc they have in stock. The selection is rather bleak on BluRays with multiple copies of the same title but not a lot of variety. Yes, you have twelve copies of Iron Man 3, but not many 3D flicks or much released before 2005. I'm not sure how they purchase their stock, but it needs to be a little broader. read more

Service was good no complaints. big selection of wii and movies. Ps2 was kinda slim and GameCube was close to nothing. prices i would say are average but way better than a retro online retailer. Prices of the old consoles were not overpriced and are not in bad condition. I bought a Wii from them, and it is still running 1.5 years later. read more

Save your money and go to GameStop or anywhere else honestly bought a PlayStation 5 sold me a used one at basically new price silly on my part anyway sold me a broken one that they were for sure just trying to scheme off on to someone else purposely didn't give me a receipt the controller was also broken took that back before the system did not ask for a receipt of any kind the sticker that came with the system was good enough but was not to trade in the system all the same employees everytime I returned same guy that initially checked me out finally traded it in after saying he couldn't find the transaction in their computer now that I've traded it in for another this one didn't come with the power cord and the guy pulled out another stand for us but didn't give it to me I guess I assumed it would be packaged the same mind you this is the closest one and it's 30 minutes from me I plan on going into tomorrow to get the cord and the stand but I already know it's going to be a hassle on top of what it's already been highly annoying when you work all week and the second you go to relax your one day off your basically $500 system is junk. read more

Great location for used games. Fairly new (opened 12/17/16) but already has a wide selection of Generations 3-current consoles. Games are fairly priced compared to online and often times even cheaper. Great condition as well as everything is well cleaned. Picked up a buy 5 used get a 6th free deal on some OG Xbox titles CIB. Recommend this location as much as other Disc Replays I've visited (Lansing/Livonia/). Plus who in the name of Zeus's butthole wants to ever step foot in a GameStop. Maybe if you need more Game Informers to line your cats litter. Keep up the good work Disc Replay, we need our nostalgic appetite fed whilst we wait for our NES Classic to finally be in stock. read more

I used to like this place but it has gone steeply downhill, especially over the last few months. The people who work in here are mostly unpleasant to deal with and do not make you feel at home. They also lack in game knowledge across all generations and I got ripped off on some trade ins that were complete in box old games in perfect shape I should have taken to Retro Taku! Go there instead....the owner and his employees are much more knowledgeable and kind to their customers. They also have better selection and prices across all platform generations. Support a true local business instead and not this corporate chain dump...I will never come back again to buy or trade anything here. read more

went here to get some ps2 games i already knew it would be limited but i still went anyway. i usually go to livonia and am always able to least find one thing i like. all i wanna say is disc replay is turning into gamestop they don't gaf. i went there got 4 games and headphones they didn't put any of the disc in the case or give me the charger to the headphones. i didn't notice until i got home, went back to disc replay they don't even gaf that they didn't give me my stuff i check everything to make sure it's right and looks clean one of the games looks obliterated. i ask if they'll buff it before we leave and they say it's $3 even tho we just came back up for a order they failed to give us. The reasoning was also because they buff them prior to selling them so if they do it again they charge so we got a different game for the same price since they don't do refunds and only in store credit. i hate that so much bc 1 we just left and yall didn't give us the games and 2 it was scratched tf up and that was the only game we wanted yall are ASSSSSSSS read more

My boyfriend and I went into the establishment on Saturday looking for a game that has split screen so we both could play. We picked out Titanfall 2 and asked TWO different employees if the game specifically had split screen to which they automatically replied that it did have split screen and it was a great game. Well, when we got home and played it, we found out that it did not have split screen at all and was single player. We went back and told them what happened and they said that they could not give us a refund and could only give us store credit. They ended up "buying it back" from us and gave us LESS THAN HALF of what we paid. So we paid $45 for the crappy game and only got $20 back. Their employees can just lie to customers and steal money from them. Don't go to this place, you'll have better luck and a better experience at Gamestop. read more

Okay before I go into my log rant. This is a fucking amazing place, with good hard working people who give a shit about you and the stuff you bring in. I trust them 100% and you should to. So I brought these guys a TUB of old games and consoles. A Wii, Ps2, P4 some games and a few controllers. Got me a PS4 pro FOR 4 DOLLARS! It was so awesome! I got a monitor there and I personally didn't like it, NO WORRIES! They gave me a full store credit refund and I got all this cool shit. Bottom line. Awesome people. This is a great store the prices on the games and gaming systems blow gamestop out of the water. You can also find the old retro systems too love it! However, this time my visit was not as nice as usual. Majority of their staff are super friendly and very eager to help, but they have one girl, I think her name was Sam? She needs a major attitude adjustment or maybe a course on how to interact with people? Found her to be very condescending to her peers and customers alike, and not very friendly on top of it.
