The store is small, but it is PACKED with games, cards and some old toys from the 80's on. It becomes a journey looking through the treasure trove of old and new items. For the newer items they are sold at or near major retail price. I have been in other smaller stores and they have to increase the prices heavily to make up for the obscene property taxes. I was happy to see the older things weren't ridiculously priced either. I left with two boxes of Pokemon cards, a set of original Spider-Man movie cards, a board game, a dragon pin, and a random Dungeons and Dragons themed bag that when I opened it, it contained a yellow and red bag, rainbow dice and a coin for Inspiration. It couldn't have summed up my trip more. :)

Bought a $100 controller recently, had both battery issues and stick drift and was unable to return it because I didn't have the correct ID. This being said, I had my passport, birth certificate, social security card, and my global entry card. I was told all this information was not valid. You can leave the country, buy drugs and alcohol, and get a job with a passport, but not return a jank controller at GameStop. Very intriguing. I had a similar situation happen a few months ago, where I bought a PlayStation that had continuous HDMI issues. Was again, unable to return it. It is literally here is a binder how much. Then they take every single card out so you stand there putting everything back like you are the problem. They offered me one dollar for full arts. I had about one hundred forty of them. I asked for one fifty which was more than fair since two of the cards alone were worth over one hundred twenty. The response I got was just why. They also own the shop in Clawson which somehow has even less inventory and even worse customer service. I watched a customer bring in a binder with vintage cards and other great stuff. The owner offered fifty dollars. It was a joke. I said I would at least look at it and he told me not in his store. I said fine I can look outside. He said no again. When I said that I just do not want to see them rip off nice people the way they tried to rip me off at the other shop he told me to get out and took back the one hundred fifty plus cards I was about to buy. If you go here only buy sealed and do not let them hassle you. They know when someone is strapped and they try to take advantage. I would never come back after how I was treated. If anyone else has had a similar experience please share it so people know what to expect before they walk in.

At any given point, there will be people at the tables in the middle of the store (spanning from the front to the back) gathering together to play various different card games, board games, or some proper Dungeons and Dragons! The very front of the store houses their clearance section and then as you go back, you'll hit their sports cards and memorabilia section, but in the proper back of the store is where the FUN is with Pokemon cards, DND merch, and so much more to be checking out! The owner and workers here are so friendly and they know their regulars well and strike up friendly, helpful conversation with all customers! You truly feel welcome here and there's nothing I love more than connecting with other people over the same passions and geeking out together! An absolutely delightful spot that I want to be around forever and ever in this quaint, local downtown area!

The store felt friendly and welcoming, and the staff were patient while checking everything out. They explained that they don't refurbish items, only resell, so because one of the controllers had a sticky button and a worn joystick pad, they couldn't accept the consoles. It made sense, and they were clear about it. Even though we didn't end up selling, they were still helpful and took the time to guide us, which I appreciated. Overall, still a positive experience.

The front of the shop was stocked well with lots of games to choose from. The middle room between the shop and music appears to be where people come to play games or tournaments. This is also where they have a bar. My biggest recommendation would be to either get a second bartender when hosting events or streamline service by cutting the craft cocktails from the menu. 20 to 30 minutes in line when the place is t packed is a trifle ridiculous.
