As you might expect, it was pricey, and no one mentioned it might not be what I wanted. When I realized, well, now it's opened, so would you like $9 back on your $90 purchase? I wouldn't call it a "scam" but I wish their staff was more forthcoming about selling games from another region. It's great to find a gem like this store! They've got all kinds of games, particularly throwbacks. You can find games for Gameboy, PSP, Wii, Retron, even for Nintendo Switch! You can even buy the consoles and all other such stuff you need to play the games on the system you have. They even have cheaper games in tubs at the back. Although double check with the staff regarding the quality, as they know which games are a better buy. They also have a lot of original Japanese versions of games. Check those out too! I was here for N64 games. I found a few I wanted! For some reason N64 seems to not be as popular as other game systems. Maybe cuz it's bulky? They were a five star rating for many of my visits. However, between May 2020 and June 2020 I purchased multiple products from them that just didn't work. Upon my last visit to the store I returned a game that was not in working order and then a couple games that I had accidentally purchased duplicates of. After a few minutes of browsing while waiting for the long haired clerk (who has minimal customer service skills) to process my return for store credit somebody else came in the store looking to sell an Xbox One and I was quickly forgotten. Roughly 20 minutes later and after having spoke with another clerk my return was processed but not before the long haired clerk noted to another about my returns win which the other clerk replied "It's not a rental store." Thankfully I was able to utilize my store credit on a few odds and ends and won't have to go back. Update: After having tested the Xbox 360 I purchased with the aforementioned store credit I quickly found out that the console's fan sounds similar to that of a jet propeller. This used to be a great store, but has been going super downhill this last year. They got too big for their own good! I was just in there today and they tried to lowball my buddy and I on a couple of rare items. I know they gotta turn a profit, but the trade in offered was insulting. They buy up way too many games without proper cases even let alone manuals. Many new employees in there with poor customer service skills too. Inventory is always very picked over and some items overvalued and priced too. I will stick to Ebay and better Retro stores that care more about their customers, who won't try to screw me over. This place is the real deal when it comes to retro games! The building is a tad small but is packed with stuff! The staff is friendly and relaxed. They also are very responsive on Facebook Messanger as well which is great! You can shoot them a message to ask if they have stuff before you stop in if you are looking for something specific. This place is hands down the best around when it come to gaming collections period! Too many items it's crazy. Prices are fair market price or below. Nothing overpriced. Love this place! Insanely great collection of import games. Every system, starting with Odyssey all the way up to PS4 and Switch. The long haired kid at the counter when I went was one of the coolest, most enthusiastic dudes ever and you could tell loves every minute of working here. He made me feel like I was a kid again in the 80s talking to another fanatic! I could talk about games all day and so could this guy. Never felt unwelcomed and I had to spend some cash to keep this store going and keep this kid employed! Can't say enough positive stuff about this store. They have a huge selection of various games and systems. Their prices are very good. They test all their games and if for some reason one doesn't work, you can return within 30 days. Recently we bought a throw back Sega Genesis system at Meijer, and they have the cartridges for that system as well. They carry everything from game boy, to intellivision, to wii. This place is amazing. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. I purchased a game from them and they told me if it didn't work to my liking I could return it in 30 days. They tested the game and it worked for them but not well on my older system but they let me return it no problem. All of their items are priced fair.
