First of all, if you buy here, you are at their mercy. You get to pay first and then if a problem arises you have to bring the issue to the manufacturer. Discount Carpet Brokers assumes no responsibility with the product being perfect (with their price it should be) nor do they stand by their installers, from what I've read here on Yelp. Since I went with the advice of a decorator, I did not shop around and I wish I would have. What made me furious was the additional installation price. There was absolutely no verbal mention. It is on the invoice however, so like everything else, before spending 5K like I did (an office, bedroom and closet), read closely. They have been in business 30 years with a business model that only protects them. Go somewhere that offers you some buyers' consideration. read more

We purchased replacement carpet from Discount Carpet Brokers who coordinated the installation pricing and scheduling as we used their recommended installer. Carpet we received is what we expected. Our problem is with the horrible installation and no support from Discount Carpet Brokers to resolve. Shortly after install each room had large carpet seams and needed stretched/repaired. Discount would not assist and took the approach that this is the installation company's issue (despite it being their in-house referral). The installation company begrudgingly sent a guy out who reeked of smoke, attempted to repair a few rooms and then left. Here were are 9 months after the original attempt to repair and many rooms look terrible still (carpet needs repaired/re-stretched). We will have to pay someone else to correct the installation job. We would have been better off leaving our existing 10 year old carpet in place. You may think you will save a little $ using Discount Carpet Brokers for carpet but why go through the hassle and later expense of having to fix their TERRIBLE installation. Big Mistake. read more

We purchased hardwood flooring for a master bedroom. When we made the purchase we asked our salesman, Ron to give us just what we needed to replace the flooring. He insisted we need to order more and we said we didn't want any extra flooring as we had nowhere to store it, snd we didn't want unnecessary expense. He continued on and said what if something happens and we said we have insurance for that. Do not sell us any more flooring that we need, They sent their installer Joe over to measure and we told him the same thing. He measured and assured us we wouldn't have extra flooring . After the install there were two full boxes of flooring and a half of a box left. I was happy to keep the half of the box, but the two boxes of flooring amounted to the tune of over $350. When we asked for a refund the owner said he'd get back to us.We had to call over and over again. He refused to give us a refund and we're stuck with two boxes of unused flooring. We come to find out that they do this on a regular basis,, they upsell, and tell people that they need 2 to 5 boxes more and make all this money on what customers are left with. Buyer beware these guys are running a scam.I would not recommend these people if they were the last people on earth selling flooring They are a scam operation, and take advantage of people trusting their expertise, I don't know how they stay in business. I've reported their unethical behavior to the registrar of contractors. read more

Discount Carpet Brokers does not stand behind their product. They acknowledged that the carpet pile in my house didn't look right but when Dixie Carpet wouldn't do anything Discount Carpet Brokers basically shrugged their shoulders and said too bad. They also recommend 2 companies to lay carpet. The one I ended up with did shoddy work. Left marks on much of my newly painted base boards in three rooms. This was a bad experience and I highly recommend that you don't get involved with this company. read more

Oh my the selection is fabulous. Went by Baker Brothers first to look at carpet and found the same item (and tons more) for about 1/3 the price. The owner came out and measured within days and the installers where great. Don't bother going anywhere else, the best prices and service in town. read more

We purchased carpet from Discount Carpet Brokers and were very happy with not only the price that we received but also with the service. We were worried about the fact that DCB's was not going to install the carpet but rather were giving us the name of an installer whom we had never met. That fear turned out to be unjustified, there was a small problem when the carpet was installed; a piece of drywall was damaged. The installer CAIB Ltd stood behind fixing the problem and did not expect any compensation. In short this was an excellent experience! Unfortunately my experience was not as good. My carpet needed to be replaced due to cat feces stains. I was told that the carpet I was purchasing was warrantied for such stains. I kept asking for their cleaning instructions and warranty. I was told it was sent. It was not until after installation that I received a book saying that my carpet was not warrantied for cat feces. I called my salesman who put me in touch with the manager. He said he would call me back. When he didn't call I called him he yelled that no one ever told me that the carpet was warranted for cat feces and that I was a liar and a whacko. The owner promised to call me back, but did not. read more

They have you extremely well covered with wide range of products and price points. I gave their installers more $ because of a job very well done, and helping me out on very short notice.
