I Came into this location and brought in some of my own pre packaged balloons for my daughter's first birthday to be filled with helium. I wasn't greeted or smiled back at when I walked in, every employee at the front desk who saw me come in, walked away like they were busy when they were all up front previously laughing and joking around. The old lady who filled them up for me was not pleasant... at all. Just very cold and rude when I asked her questions. She asked if I wanted a travel bag, I said "that's fine" and she said "it's a yes or no question" ....LOL OK. this was just one of her many rude responses. not really sure who pissed her off that day or if she's just so miserable with her own life she needs to make other people unhappy too. Also, two of the balloons she filled for me were not floating anymore by the time I got home, 10 minutes later. When checking out she informed me they "weren't responsible for the balloons after they left the store doors" Listen, maybe the two of the balloons I had were faulty, and I can't rule that out... but to charge customers a dollar per balloon to fill it up with air the least I'd expect was something to last until the next day. Just a disappointing experience all around. I will never come back to this location.

I waited a minimum of 10 minutes to be helped by a kind young lady who processed my purchase. Then I waited another 5-10 minutes for someone to fill the balloons. What is amazing is there were a minimum of 6 other employees who came by, saw me and some other people waiting to be served, and left to care for something or someone less important, only to return a few minutes later looking for something else to do. I was thinking of applying for the store manager position on the spot because they certainly need one in this case. I deal with many retail stores and this branch of Zurchers takes the prize for caring the least about their customers.

A little bit of paradise in Utah. I was looking for some things to do in the downtown Salt Lake…read moreCity area during our vacation when I spotted Hawaii Fluid Art at random. I thought this would be a great activity for my LTP and I to do, so I booked a reservation online. We live in Nevada, and their website mentioned that it would take a few days for the artwork to dry completely, hence the fluid art in their name. We were going home the day after the class and we would not be back in time to pick it up, and luckily for us, it was feasible for them to ship our canvas back to us. I think they said that we would get our finished paintings in about a week and a half. I booked for 5/29/26 at 5:00pm and chose to do a small canvas ($65/person plus other fees). Depending on what you're doing and how big your canvas is, it can get messy, so make sure to pack some clothes that you don't mind getting paint on. We packed some shirts that we didn't mind getting paint on, but to be fair, it really didn't get all that messy since our canvases were so small, so it's ok. One thing that I really liked is that we were the only people in the entire class, so this basically was a private session for us. We were asked to choose three or four pint colors of our choice, which was easy for me at least. The first thing we were instructed to do was pour white paint on our canvas and cover it completely by moving it around with our bare hands or by moving the canvas around using the pegs on the bottom. Once we emptied out the cup of white paint, we were shown a technique in which they call the 'blurp blurp' technique, where you pour your colors of choice into the empty cup one at a time for two seconds until they're all mixed in together. Before pouring our colors onto the canvas, we got to decide which design to use based on other designs that were made in the past. What I did on my canvas was pour my paint across the canvas and used the rest of my paint to make some lines from top to bottom and then move the canvas around to cover the white paint up, although some white splotches appeared later on, which is a normal thing to happen. The finishing touch was glitter, which we sprinkled around our canvas like salt. The glitter made our canvases even better. They came out really well and we can't wait to see them when they arrive at my front door or mailbox, depending on what shipping service they use to ship our canvases back. This class was short but sweet. We had a lot of fun here trying out something new.

It doesn't take any artistic ability, but if you do have such a trait, you can put it to use here as well. What I'm saying is that anyone can enjoy this place-and you should! First, you select the size of canvass that you want to paint. Then, you select up to five paint colors. There are lots to choose from and you can walk around the gallery to see other art and get some inspiration. Depending on what style you like, you'll be guided by a friendly staff member on how to pour your paint onto the canvass and then tilt it in a way that will achieve your desired outcome. It's a fun process and a bit mesmerizing to watch. For an extra fee, they can add resin to the finished piece, which will make it shiny. It certainly makes the colors pop and I'd recommend it. My only complaint is the price. Sure, you're making a one of a kind work of art. But the price point is steep and will certainly eliminate some people from participating. But if you can swing it, I'd recommend you save your pennies and give it a go.
