Stopped by the other day to buy a guppy since Big Al's next door was sold out of the female guppies during the Black Friday weekend. The fish tanks were pretty dirty and a lot of the fish like the clown fishes were crammed into small tanks. Many of the tanks had unsightly green waters. I decided to purchase one of their guppies but the cashier told me it was cash only under $10. I looked around the store to find something to meet the threshold but a lot of their dry stuff were overpriced and seemed like it was on the shelves for quite a long time. I somehow managed to get a water conditioner. When I returned home, I noticed that the guppy I got was sick with an internal parasite - long stringy clear poop and constant flashing. Had to quarantine her from the maand is she now undergoing Prazipro treatment. This will be my first and last time here. Never had any problems before with Big Al's and the Port Credit Petsmart. Update: Made another visit reluctantly to look for some java moss. Came across the betta fishes they had and all of them were living in horrid conditions. I have no idea how long they have been there but there were a couple dead ones and almost all of them had fun rot as well as unforgivable amounts of waste in the cups!!

Two sliders I bought in their new home. One is a bit more shy than the other

Came here after finding out they sell turtles. Turtles sold here seemed to be healthy and in the proper environment (with a heat lamp, basking rock etc) unlike some other places I've been to. Sold a decent selection of turtle accessories as well. 1 for $29 or 2 for $50. Cheaper than al's aquarium which is a few minutes away. Too bad they didn't have a variety of species, only the red ear slider kind. I've had my two turtles for over a week now and they seem to be doing well. No complaints there. Helpful staff, and they speak Cantonese

Amazing aquarium and great experience for families or anyone who loves fish and sea creatures. A…read moresmaller aquarium but mighty in their exhibits and variety of fish. My favorite sections in order: 1) The moving walkway to watch all the fish in front and above you. Very nice layout. You can focus without worrying about crowds and are constantly moving at a slow pace to enjoy, observe and immerse yourself. 2) Stingray - peaceful, beautiful display of stingrays from top to bottom. Incredible. 3) Jellyfish - surreal experience. Just one side of the wall but it messed with your sense of reality and what's real. Feels like a digital display but it's real! Overall, wonderful experience with a cute kids play area at the midway point. One of my favorite aquariums to date. Recommended for families to go and check it out.

Got some tickets when they had a sale back in April and redeemed this passed weekend. All areas were crowded but we made sure to wait our turn to see all the big exhibits up close. The Dangerous Lagoon was definately the highlight. Despite how busy it was, everything just slows down here. The moving walkway slowly moves you through the beautiful massive underwater tunnel for what felt like 7 minuites. The jelly fish display where the lighting creates a majestic scene of the jellyfish changing color in synchrony from the deep dark purples to the most vibrant reds was also a sight to see. A great variety of sea creatures on display here. You think it, they had it. Several areas for interactive play throughout including a playplace at the end (good luck following your kid in there - the play structure was packed to the max). You can also pet the stingrays on your way out. We spent a little over 2 hrs here. If it wasnt so busy may have waited for the dive shows and feeding times. Couldve also been a more relaxing experience if they limit the number of admissions throughout the day. I remember during COVID they had a time slot system. Seems theyve went away with it now. Overall definately worth checking out at least once.

They're currently doing some renovations so we walked around to the entrance on the side of the building. It was relatively close to the parking lot which was nice especially with a toddler. We looked at all the exhibits and the tanks. We loved the penguins and the sea lions. We watched the sea lion show which was really cool on the top level looking down into the tank. They have a touch tank for their rays and baby sharks too which was cool to try. The only downside is that it's a bit small. We were done with everything in less than an hour and could've stayed for another show but opted to leave. It was a great experience but we just needed a little more.

It had a face lift from the last time I was there and those changes are nice. I would say it takes about an hour to get through everything if you stop to read some signs, take some pictures, and watch one of the shows. There is a new additional building included in your admission and about a 2 minute walk from the main building. Although it was in good shape, I didn't personally feel drawn to the space at all and felt like there was more that could be done with it. Overall, I like the Aquarium and it was well worth the $7.16 I paid to get in. I'd feel cheated if I paid the full $25 ticket price.

I believe the owner's name is Abdul and he is very friendly and attentive. I have visited on 2 occasions and they have had a great selection of livestock both times (fish, coral, and inverts). If you have a nano tank and are constantly on the lookout for smaller fish, Exotic Aquarium World often has juveniles in stock. Right now they have a lot of baby purple tangs! They also carry a decent selection of dry goods and frozen food (Hikari and Omega One). I find everything is priced very competitively and even more so if you can pick something up during a special promo. Due to public health directives you will need to call the number posted on the door when you arrive to be helped. They also have a website for online orders, but I have always gone in person and received great service. I would encourage fellow reefers to check it out if you haven't already.
