Stopped by the other day to buy a guppy since Big Al's next door was sold out of the female guppies during the Black Friday weekend. The fish tanks were pretty dirty and a lot of the fish like the clown fishes were crammed into small tanks. Many of the tanks had unsightly green waters. I decided to purchase one of their guppies but the cashier told me it was cash only under $10. I looked around the store to find something to meet the threshold but a lot of their dry stuff were overpriced and seemed like it was on the shelves for quite a long time. I somehow managed to get a water conditioner. When I returned home, I noticed that the guppy I got was sick with an internal parasite - long stringy clear poop and constant flashing. Had to quarantine her from the maand is she now undergoing Prazipro treatment. This will be my first and last time here. Never had any problems before with Big Al's and the Port Credit Petsmart. Update: Made another visit reluctantly to look for some java moss. Came across the betta fishes they had and all of them were living in horrid conditions. I have no idea how long they have been there but there were a couple dead ones and almost all of them had fun rot as well as unforgivable amounts of waste in the cups!!

Two sliders I bought in their new home. One is a bit more shy than the other

Came here after finding out they sell turtles. Turtles sold here seemed to be healthy and in the proper environment (with a heat lamp, basking rock etc) unlike some other places I've been to. Sold a decent selection of turtle accessories as well. 1 for $29 or 2 for $50. Cheaper than al's aquarium which is a few minutes away. Too bad they didn't have a variety of species, only the red ear slider kind. I've had my two turtles for over a week now and they seem to be doing well. No complaints there. Helpful staff, and they speak Cantonese

Thank you! From Guest Services Team: Typically if someone had mistakenly purchased the Sharks After Dark, we would ask them to email us the tickets at tgservices@ripleys.com and then we would walk them in.

Absolutely immersive. The massive tanks showing how communities of fish live together are impressive, but the Dangerous Lagoon is the crown jewel. There is a slow-moving treadmill through the tunnel pro tip: just stay on it and look up. Seeing the sharks and rays glide over you is a core memory. Staff & Service: Top-notch. The staff is not only friendly but incredibly knowledgeable. They are very proactive about animal welfare, constantly reminding the crowd to turn off their flashes to protect the creatures. Educational Value: We caught two of the diver shows where they feed the animals. It's amazing to hear them talk about sustainability and how our daily decisions impact these animals' lives for years to come. Crowd: It gets crowded fast! Even as early birds, we weren't alone. However, the layout is so well-organized that the flow of people keeps moving. Food & Amenities: After the shark tunnel, there's a convenient coffee shop and washrooms located in the basement. It's the perfect spot to take a breather. Transportation: Location couldn't be better. It's incredibly accessible you can easily walk if you're downtown, or take the bus/train (TTC) to Union Station. It's right in the heart of the action. Cost: Definitely worth the price of admission for the quality of the exhibits and the message of conservation they share. I got my pass with Citypass. Bottom Line: Whether you are a solo traveler or with a group, this is a 10/10 experience. Don't forget to skip the flash and enjoy the view

I believe the owner's name is Abdul and he is very friendly and attentive. I have visited on 2 occasions and they have had a great selection of livestock both times (fish, coral, and inverts). If you have a nano tank and are constantly on the lookout for smaller fish, Exotic Aquarium World often has juveniles in stock. Right now they have a lot of baby purple tangs! They also carry a decent selection of dry goods and frozen food (Hikari and Omega One). I find everything is priced very competitively and even more so if you can pick something up during a special promo. Due to public health directives you will need to call the number posted on the door when you arrive to be helped. They also have a website for online orders, but I have always gone in person and received great service. I would encourage fellow reefers to check it out if you haven't already.
