There are easy walking paths and multiple trails going up and down different sides. It was a cloudy day, but pleasant for walking. At the top are different lookout points with benches, picnic tables, etc., perfect for great views as you explore the area. The most fun part was the natural climbing wall on the one side. It has its own dedicated lot as well. Portions are closed, but most have permanent fixture points for climbing rope. Definitely a fun free activity if you're into climbing. During sunset, you'll find the viewpoint rather busy with all sorts of people hanging with their friends or loved ones eating, drinking, or blazing. A cool part of the city for sure.

When you arrive there is merch on one side…read moreand a bar/beer garden on the other, then a couple of porta potties including a handicap one, and then a huge flight of stairs to get to most of the park. There must have been an elevator but it wasn't obvious to my eyes. I took a lot of photos of food options, because if you have a more restricted diet you might want to know what's available before you go. I did not get a shot of every menu but I got most. Or course it may vary from time to time. I was happy to see that Peek A Book Delight was there, and was able to get a cup of mango slices with seasonings like chamoy and lime. You can get peanuts for $3 and Prince Puckler's ice cream. The stadium itself just has one main screen and there were no instant replays during the game, but they did have those fun and silly fan games in between innings that were sponsored by various local businesses. The park being outside got chilly at night but the restroom was warm. There was a couch in the women's room. Note that they have a clear bag policy and if you have a prepaid ticket to park in the East Lot, the entrance is at MLK Way and Kinsrow. Google maps took me to the wrong place and I had to drive a bit to figure out where I was supposed to go as the signage was not so good.

PK Park is the home stadium of the UO Ducks baseball team, and shared with the Ems during their…read moreseason. PK Park is not very old--baseball only returned to the university as a NCAA sport about 15 years ago. Most of the donations came from a prior athletic director, whose initials for the name of the ballpark. It's small but mighty, with a total capacity of about 4,000. There are suites, a picnic area, and so on. We walked all the way to the other side of the stadium and down to ground level to the only merch booth that exists in the stadium and they had one toddler shirt. That was a bummer. I was really hoping to find at least a couple options between which to choose, and would have liked to find their Monarcas gear in something that wasn't a jersey (I'd like to wear it as an everyday shirt, and the only times I've ever worn a jersey--which I can count on one hand--was at an actual baseball game); even better if they'd had children's monarcas gear. Some of the food was ok and rather reasonably priced. We were able to get a hot dog and corn dog for about $4 each--go to one of the "regular" concession stands, not the one with fancier items, where you would see a footlong hot dog for $17. They had some nachos that looked tasty, but we skipped them this time. The favorite was the cotton candy. Even my sister remarked on how good it was, because it actually tasted like raspberry (or whatever flavor it was supposed to have), and often cotton candy doesn't really have much of a flavor. It was also only $8 and I was expecting it would be higher than that. Whew, a price break. Parking is plentiful. I think it was $2? You have to pay by card only as they don't accept cash. The line at the ticket booth was really long and it took my sister 15-20 minutes to get tickets, so probably better to buy online if you can. And if you have an "oversized bag", apparently you're required to enter through the south entrance even though there's nothing indicating that (nor what an "oversized bag" is, so check the website to see if there are actual details on it).

If you went out to your car to get a sweater or charge your phone they wouldn't allow re-entry. Fireworks were short and it was hard to see from one side of the grandstand, unless you tried to crane your neck backwards. Kids enjoyed the carnival.

They've been part of the fabric of Eugene of over 70 years!…read moreThey originally played at (now defunct) Bethel Park in, as you may have guessed, the Bethel neighborhood. They spent most of their years at Civic Stadium in Eugene before moving to their current location, PK Park, which is actually a University of Oregon facility for their baseball team. I remember going to games with my mom when I was young, when her workplace was doing a whiffle ball promotion with the team. And they have some fun promos nowadays too; we went to "Take Meow't to the Ballgame", where Pete the Cat was there and attendees were invited to bring their cats as well. We saw two cats... I'm not sure they were excited to be there, but I appreciate the out of the box thinking! Their official mascot is a Sasquatch, which is a fun nod to the legend in the Pacific Northwest. They also debuted an identity which they use occasionally called Monarcas de Eugene. Their Monarcas uniforms are gorgeous! I know that there was some talk about the Ems needing a stadium of their own (not as guests of the UO), which didn't pan out, and they've said they're going to move elsewhere. I'm not sure if that was the final word on relocation or if maybe they've backed off it a bit. I'd like the Ems to stay because it's good for Eugene. They do need to work on their merch, though. We went recently to the game and they one toddler shirt and a onesie, and everything else was a kid's small or larger. I wish they had more of their Monarcas identity in merch (I don't want a jersey; I want an everyday t-shirt) or the Exploding Whales (especially for kids!).

Autzen Stadium is amazing! Honestly, I was really anxious visiting this place for the first time…read moregiven its massive scale, but everything worked out great! I'm recovering from an injury and currently have an ADA placard for parking. My parking space was located steps away from the front gate, and the elevator was only a few steps away from the gate! I couldn't be happier with this facility's accomodations for those with mobility issues. My first visit was for a Savannah Banana's game (Bananas against the Party Animals) and we weren't sure whether the weather would cooperate. I was pleased to discover the pregame activities were held in a gigantic fully-enclosed arena next door to the stadium, which had a large jumbotron, restrooms, water fountains, and every other comfort one would need. This place is massive in scale, and I never felt claustrophobic or overwhelmed in any way. There is a long ramp that encircles the stadium, a giant staircase, as well as ADA elevators to access the stadium. Even though this place accomodates 60,000 people, you wouldn't know it because the layout enables many people to enter and exit at once. There are bench seats in the stadium, with the option to rent cushioned seats and backrests near the points of entry. With two giant jumbotrons, there didn't really seem to be a bad seat in the house. We had a wonderful time! (And the Bananas won!)

You're in Oregon, where the climate has its own ideas on where and when things will change. You're just off campus of the University of Oregon, across the Willamette (highly recommend the bridge walk, it's a tradition), and you're going to be a part of a crowd of ~60,000. And while that is far less than some other venues, these crowds get throaty and LOUD, especially when the Ducks have the opponents pinned deep in their own end. Also, that's when the rain is a big help, because fumbles happen. The steps on the south end take you right under the big O, letting you know just who calls this place home. If you're so inclined, then you can walk the ramps up the east or west sides, too, so those who might need accessibility or just people who hate stairs can be accommodated. The concourses are pretty wide, though when concessions lines are long, the concourses are still cramped. Restrooms are plenty and have LOTS of facilities, so you *might* even be able to make a comfort stop during a commercial break. But if you miss the action and the crowd roars, then the restrooms are quite the echo chamber. Autzen has had a gazillion magic moments, the Duck ALWAYS entertains, and it's fairly visiting-fan friendly, as long as yer not OSU. This is also the venue for the main graduation ceremony, stuffing the south stands with family & friends to celebrate their Ducks' academic accomplishments. So while Kenny Wheaton's '94 'pick six' or the 32-31 barnburner against Ohio State in '24 are hallowed memories here, so too are those school-related festivities, not just sportsball. And yes, I'm biased because my Duck walked here. Parking isn't easy, and traffic gets managed along MLK Jr Way, but that's where the bridge walk helps. If you need merch or the latest in UO garb, then the Duck Store might have something for all ages. Hey, even the Grateful Dead played here TEN times, so you know almost anyone could call this a special place. Come early. Wear green. Be LOUD.

They also have some dahlia and a few plants that I've never seen before (I had to look these up). Lots of happy bees here too. Some shaded tables if you want to hang out for a while. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I love this place it have plenty of space for the dogs to run. It's not muddy like all the other…read moredog parks. The people here are nice and have common sense on how to react when things happen. My dog love it and when she gets closer she always whines in excitement wanting to get out and play. My dog (Riley) is the greeter of the dog park so if you come you will be greeted by a golden lab.

They easily switch from one park to the next out of your view. The center of the dog park is a bit muddy and swampy after a rain so be sure to bring your mud boots and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. There is a path for humans but if you stay on it you will definitely not be able to keep up with your pup. There is also a box for sticks that pups can play with. My pupper loves to find the hugest sticks and run begging for them to be thrown. The rest of the park is awesome too. There are turkeys that roam the property and trails that surround the park. It's definitely something that dog lovers should check out.
