Don't believe a thing Discount Glass says.  If they say they can get an order in a certain time frame - don't believe them. If they say they can get it installed- don't believe them. If they say they will call or e-mail- definitely don't believe them!!! This is the most incompetant company I have dealt with in the last year.   It has been 8 weeks since I first made arrangements to get a set of mirrors-I still don't have them. Go to some other place first, second and last, just don't goto discount glass ...EVER!!! Update: Mirrors finally arrived the end of June. The large 35 x 72 outlet cutout was cut wrong.  The second of three was scratched. Update: July 16 Discount continues their incompetance - new mirror is to be installed but, yup you guessed it, the cutout was cut WRONG AGAIN. Nothing done for scratched mirror - it will appartently be re-ordered, but who knows , the front office avoids communication with the customers. Update: August 27- No word from DIscount Glass. I had them come out and measure for glass barn doors for our shower. Two measurements; height and width. When they arrived 1 month later, the width was wrong! Then they were just going to order a new rod to attach the doors, when I spoke up and said the doors were much too narrow and they would need to order new glass doors. The guy went back out to the truck and measured the doors and came back, stating that I was correct and they would need to order new doors and it would be at least a month. The office was not pleasant, and I have asked for Will Bright to please call me. I have now asked for a return call 5 times. The last time they stated he was too busy. I am so disappointed with this company. I gave them a strike plate for my shower to get a matching one from another company. Per their instructions, I gave them the entire old piece including the screws and magnets. I waited about 2 weeks for the new part even though I was told it would probably be a week. I called a couple times and never got return phone calls. Finally got a call saying my part was ready. Drove out and got it and was given back my old piece as well and told that they lost the screws and magnet for the old piece. The new piece they gave me didn't fit, so I drove back down there to give it back. At that time I asked for a refund and was told they would call around other shops to see if they could find the correct fitting piece so they asked if I would wait on the refund. I wait another week and a half and they tell me they can't help me, so I drive back out there again to get my old shower piece back (they had needed it to try and match it) now that they lost the magnet, I can't even rig the old piece. I ask for my refund and I'm told that no one in there knows how to issue a refund and that I need to leave my credit card number for the owner to do it. This was the 10th of July. I call back on the 11th and I am assured that the owner issued the refund that day. I wait and give them ample time and I see the refund never hits my bank account. I call again to check in on the 23rd of July at 8am and the owner himself answers and tells me something must have happened and that he will issue the refund and call me back in 10 minutes with a confirmation number. 4pm rolls around and I've heard nothing from him. I call back again and I'm told he just now put the refund through and to expect it in my account by end of day or the following day at the latest. I give them until the 27th and I call back again and ask where my refund is because it's not in my account. Im told again that it should be in there anytime now. I ask again for the confirmation number I was promised at the beginning of the week and I'm told the owner will call me at close of business. I call at 4:59pm and I'm told by the shop maintenance guy that since it's "after 5" everyone has left and no one can help me. So 2 weeks I've been waiting for a refund and multiple times I've been promised phone calls I've never gotten. That is really terrible customer service and I've been more than patient with them. Now I have filed a dispute with my credit card company because I don't trust them anymore. read more

Everyone here was nice enough and they helped me set up my auto glass claim, however since they set up the claim theres been no communication and a bunch of issues. Literally the day after I set up the claim through them they called me back the next day (the same guy who helped me set up my claim) and was saying "we saw that you called looking for a new windshield do you still need that?" i said "Yes but-" and was cut off with him saying a spiel about how we'll go ahead and talk to your insurance and set up a date and then i had to cut him off and say "do you not remember me? I already did all this yesterday." After that call it was just more and more frustrating, i called them for a few days and couldnt get a hold of anyone and when i did get a hold of someone i kept being told "Yeah just bring the car in!" But i sleep during the day and work at night, and was told a tech would come to me and install the windshield, at no point in time did anyone give me a definite date on when they would come out to do the install. After 5 days of hearing nothing back or being able to schedule a day to install the windshield I went ahead and called safelite, they transferred everything and said they would have a new windshield on the car 48 hours later. Dont go through these guys. read more

Pretty good prices compared to other estimates we got. They work quick and get in & out! My complaint would be they are very bad with scheduling and getting on the phone. It took a few calls to get them out for a quote & when they did come they showed up 3 hours after the estimated time frame ended. They never called me when the glass arrived, I had to call multiple times before I could get installation scheduled. When they came the workers were very kind. Happy with the results, but I'd recommended they work on their follow-up and scheduling processes. However would use again! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. From the beginning, Lorissa mislead me as evidenced by "track replacement" on the quote vs. a cheap "track cap" that they installed on top of the diveted existing sliding glass door track. Really, like that's going to work? It did NOT. Other issues Discount Glass showed their true colors on include: missed appointments; not calling 15-30 mins before arrival as they stated they would do; not returning pulled screens to their proper places and rude/lack of customer service. The real kicker is when the VP of the company, Jimmy, lied to me. He said "he" replaced the rollers on the sliding glass door but did not. Another worker fessed up to it. When I called them on it, Lorissa refused to schedule an appointment to REALLY replace the rollers. Lorissa "took the message" that I wanted Jimmy, the VP, to call me and when I asked when he would call, she stated VERBATIM, "When he gets around to it." 5 days later, there still has been no call back. I called a different company who not only replaced the old rollers but sawed-out the existing track and installed a brand new (real) track. The slider operates as if it were new thanks to this expert. Shame on Discount Glass. I will never do business with them again. read more

I needed mirrors installed in the bathrooms. I gave them a deposit and then I waited, waited, and waited. They never showed up on time, they came unprepared, or they came with the wrong pieces, the wrong cuts, they did a horrible job with the installation, they were messy and never replaced items they removed. It took them over 6 months to finish a job with which I am not happy, but I did not want to see them again in my home. Stay away from these people for the installation of any mirrors. read more

We had a window over the double sink area in our master bath which was damaged by a stone flying up from a lawn mower. The people we contracted with originally walked out on the job leaving jagged glass saying they could not remove/replace the glass until we hired a stucco specialist to cut out portions of the area around the window. These people had inspected and measured before accepting the job. Discount Glass (Mark) came out and said "no problem". They subsequently removed the old glass and installed the new one and had no issues with the stucco. Goes to show you that not all repair professionals are equal in their ability to perform. Over scheduled! I scheduled an appointment for Monday between 3 pm - 4 pm. The Technician contacted me around 3:45 pm and asked if he could come early; However, he never showed up. I contacted the technician and he did not answer. I contacted the ofc and they stated they would contact the technician, and they did not call me back. I contacted them today then they stated that the tech stated he sat in front of my house for 20 mins. I wasted a entire day waiting for them to show up and they did not. They stated that they could reschedule for Thursday and would call for directions. I will not be doing business with them because they seem to be to busy and do not keep appointments. t read more

About four and a half years ago, we had discount glass install a glass shower surround. At the beginning, we had a few problems with the door slipping in its hinge, but every time we called discount glass, they came out to fix the problem, no charge. Now, it held great for, what, four years, and then slipped again (I think this has more to do with the weight and design of the door than workmanship). I called them to schedule a service call fully expecting to pay for the call after all this time. They were kind enough to work with me via text (my preferred method of communication) to get it scheduled, work with my crazy day, and fixed the problem without taking a single cent, which we offered to pay. I was really impressed with their level of customer service and they will for sure be the first call I make next time I need any kind of glass. read more

Hired them to do three windows in my truck windshield and two rear windows. After three attempts to get the rear windows installed properly and one is still not correct. And I now have Adhesive on the fresh white paint. Sloppy workmanship, take pride in what you do if you call yourself a professional. Called a local big glass company for a quote to either replace a badly scratched shower glass panel. They said it would cost the same to install a new frameless three-panel unit and would not quote just a single panel replacement. Then called Discount Glass and they offered an extremely fair single panel replacement. They also offered a new frameless system that was 2/3 the cost as the other glass company. I went with the frameless unit from Discount with the Diamond Fusion option to protect from scale and make cleaning easier. Still at 2/3 cost of the competitor. So going for the less cost vendor is sometimes is not the best option. But in this case, they quickly came out to quote, measure and uninstall old glass. Then they had the new glass manufactured and installed in 2 weeks. That would have been quicker but Thanksgiving delayed it a couple of days. Installed yesterday so can't speak to how they react to call backs or other, but so far we are very happy with our choice to use Discount Glass. read more
