Scarborough Lane Shoppes is on the east side of Hwy 12 and features undercover parking, meandering boardwalks and a variety of shops and eateries for the whole family. In this shopping center I enjoyed the Flip Flop Shops, The Christmas Mouse, Tar Heel Trading and Toyriffic. I was running out of steam a bit but I would have also liked to check out the Spice and Tea Exchange and Ella's Olive. Also, the scent wafting out of the Fudgery was tempting but I resisted! The shopping center is nicely maintained and there is undercover parking which is great for those bright and sunny days. Also, this shopping center is conveniently within walking distance of several others. Overall, this was a very nice stop.

In the case of Toyriffic, I was immediately drawn in thanks to the G scale train weaving in and out of the store. Inside the store I particularly liked looking at the stuffed animals, Ravensburger puzzles and interesting games.
