Went and got a used tire for my truck will be going back for another for my driver side soon great people and got the tire changed fast

I was hurting for some new front tires. All this driving has finally caught up with the tires. For months I had a slow leak on my front driver side tire that I kept having to fill with air everyday. I put it off because I just didn't the have $80 bucks to get a new one. I figured I'd look into getting a used one just for now. Then came Venado, I called them up they told me they had the size tires I needed. As I pulled in I saw the garage doors open and was helped immediately. They got me the tires I needed even had me inspect them before buying. The process was quick and the turn around wasn't too long. I was back on the road in no time. I'm so glad to finally get this tire replaced. The price was $50 a tire but considering the price of 1 brand new tire, I was able to get 2 for the price of 1 basically and that was just what I needed. The tires were really decent tread and in great shape. Next time im in the market for some used tires, Ill know where to go! read more

Thought that doing business with the locals was the way to go, but, it appears that the large chain stores are doing so well because of the shoddy work Venado Tires on Comanche does. I went to fix my tire it was so windy I trusted they would fix it! I guess the just put air in the tire but he told me I had a nail! These guys are thieves. Last time I went for a simple tire rotation and for air for my tires i spoke Spanish to them and they only charged me around $10, this next time I went the man told me after he did all the work, then told me it would be $30. I told him that's nonsense and he charged me $10 last time, his response was "well we raised our prices $5". So apparently 10 +5 is $31? Don't go here unless you speak Spanish, they will take advantage of you. read more

Venado made it clear they don't stand behind the quality of the tires they sell or the safety/satisfaction of their customers. After having a good interaction and buying 4 used tires on June 14th for our Subaru, just two days later one of the tires flatted after about 40 miles of driving. They replaced it with a non-matching tire, which while not ideal, seemed to be working fine. On 16th of July, almost exactly one month and about 150 miles later, one of the original tires they put on literally fell apart while driving (see pictures). I understand that flats happen, but this was negligence and greed in selling this tire. It became clear they took advantage of customers lack of tire knowledge to move damaged inventory. I returned back in to ask for a refund with the tires (completely understanding I bought used tires) and the employee I spoke with made it perfectly clear they have no idea about the quality of the tires they sell and if it happened more than a few weeks after they sold it the customer was out of luck. Great service here. It's a small tire shop so expect some grease and dirt and things being done you might not find in the big stores. I am just visiting my brother whom is blind and owns the vehicle of his lifetime partner. We went to drive it, and darn, flat tire, on a Saturday! I called all over, got AAA to fill the tire so it was drivable, and ended up at VENADO, I felt like I was back in my hometown in North Dakota, where everyone is working and the place is clearly for tires! Memorable experience! They spent the time to find two locations with screws, patched and repaired and re-installed the tire, checked all the other tires and charged me 10.00. It had a 'homey' feel instead of a 'rip off' place that might lie and sell me new tires. What a fine shop! I would want to just hang out with these guys. read more

I had to add air to my tire every other day. I went here to check to see if my tire had hole in it because my tire pressure showed that it was at 25 (should be around 35) and my low air tire light was on. After they took my tire off then put it back on they apparently broke my tire sensor according to the Infiniti Dealership. My low air tire light (orange triangle with ! In it) kept blinking and it wasn't blinking before they touched my tire. Not to mention, the tire pressure number on my odometer doesn't even show the number anymore it just shows a dash "---." The rest of my tire pressure numbers are showing just not the one that they touched! They kept saying "yeah bro it's your car acting up." Well It wasn't "acting up" before I came here. I called the shop for a 195/65r15 tire and was quoted $35 mounted and balanced. Once I showed up, the price had changed to $45. When I told the employee I was dealing with I was quoted $35, he simply said no. I asked how much for just the tire, w/o mount and balance, still $45...cool. I figured I was already there and needed a tire, so I accepted it. After finding one from their stock that would work, I specifically asked if the tire had any plugs. He confidently said no and proceeded with the mount. When I went to install the tire on the vehicle, I immediately noticed a plug. Without making this any longer than it needs to be, we could not come to an agreeable resolution, and I paid $45 for a tire (which retails for $55 new) with a plug and less than 50% wear life remaining. I understand tires receive plugs all the time, but don't lie to your customers. If you do not know, simply say so. With dozens of shops in the area, I would go elsewhere. read more

After being quoted over an hour wait time for a patch by one of the big stores, I popped into Venado for a $7 repair and was in and out in less than 10 minutes -- without the annoying sales pitch that comes with the "free" repair offered by the big store. Part of living in the East Mountains means you're dealing with gravel roads...which means you're going through tires more often than city folk. So there was no way I was going to spend $120-180/tire for new tires for my car. Thankfully, both hubs and I found Venado. Not only are they friendly and fast, but they are generally about $50/tire INSTALLED for decent used tires with lots of tread life left. Can't beat it! Never had to wait terribly long to have tires replaced. Only recommendation is to have you call ahead with your tire size to see what they have. Also you CAN order a variety of NEW tires shipped directly to the store and installed. :) read more

Very impressed with the skill and attention to detail shown by the installers, not to mention how quickly I was in and out and on my way. The inventory is extensive and the staff is able to find desired sizes quickly. The quality of the tires, in terms of tread life remaining and overall condition, is superior to any of the other used tire stores I visited in Albuquerque, and they don't sell sketchy tires. In other words, you can't buy the CHEAPEST used tires in town here - and for the risk involved and the short life expectancy, why would you want to? The owner is very professional and courteous and gave me the impression, without saying it, that he wouldn't sell a tire that he would not trust on a vehicle driven by members of his own family. I'm glad I shopped here instead of waiting until I could afford a set of brand new tires - mine look and ride 90% new at less than 50% of the cost! read more

Went in to have my brake pads replaced. After picking my car up the SECOND time due to the problem not being fixed I heard a new and even worse noise. The owner Louis and his son José had horrible customer service skills. I have gone there for two years so I expected my loyalty to be appreciated and for them to take ownership of the problem. Instead I was laughed at and told I was lucky I lived in a free country. After three days of them "fixing" my car I ended up asking for my money back and taking it to another place.
