One of our best ever experiences at an autoshop. We came from out of town on Memorial Day weekend and picked up a screw in one tire. My husband called around for availability and took the car (on a spare tire with the flat in the trunk) to the Juan Tabo Discount Tires Friday morning. We were expecting a long wait (which is a bummer when you're in town very briefly to see your family), but the mechanics got us back on the road within a half hour. They successfully patched the tire, inspected it and were confident we could drive home to Fort Worth on it (which we did, no problems), and surprisingly didn't charge anything! The spare tire was also inspected and aired up. Marco, Tye and Benjamin all did 110% for us during the rush of the holiday weekend so we could continue our vacation. read more

02/06/2026. Had an appointment scheduled for 4:30pm. The guys were on it quickly and my wait time was roughly 25 min. These guys were excellent treating my mustang with great care as if it was there own car. I was worried at first since I have expensive rims but after checking out their work once the tires were replaced on all 4, saw no issues. I'm not really a "car guy" and I don't like spending money on my car. Discount Tire is one place that I don't even think about researching - if I need anything tire related, I simply go there. I've been buying tires from Discount Tire since 1988 and this particular store for the last 25 years. I trust them. Yeah, their prices are good. Yeah, they will fill your tires with air for free (but tip them, for Heaven's sake!) and rotate your tires for free. They're fast. They'll explain things to you. They have a wide range of tires and they can get what I need fast. And they actually care. I've had an instance (one single instance, since 1988) where a Discount Tire worker unknowingly broke something on my car (my tire pressure monitor) while doing an install. When I called the manager - just to let him know, stuff like that happens - he insisted I come in and gave me cash for the repair. After ascertaining what had happened, he held a storewide training on that particular issue - in such a way so as to not embarrass the employee who'd made the mistake. Wow. We had a (driver-caused) blowout the other day and there was no doubt the tire was ruined. I just had them tow us here - why mess around? We were up and running in less than two hours after I handed them my keys. And for a reasonable amount of dough. This is the Discount Tire Store on Juan Tabo in Albuquerque! Went in to have a flat repaired. Was told that it was not repairable due to it having 3 punctures to close to each other. They showed me the holes on the inside of the tire. A patch the size of a quarter could have covered all 3 holes. They said it was against their policy to overlap patches. I asked if they had a patch that could cover all holes and they did not have a patch that large. The next thing out of their mouth was "let me check if we have a new tire" I said no, and they asked if I would like to buy a used one. I said put the tire back on rim and I will go elsewhere. That exchange took 2 hours! Went to a different tire store and they repaired it, but the tire needed balancing and they would have to charge for that. I don't think that Discount Tire on Juan Tabo ever would have repaired my tire. They didn't mark the location of the valve stem or any of the weights when they removed the tire from the rim. They just wanted to sell me a tire. Poor practices to keep loyal customers. I will never use them and will advise the company that I work for the same. read more

I took my car in to get my flat tire fixed. While waiting, another customer came in with a flat and the store manager went above and beyond to take care of the customer. The customer left to do something but on her way back, her car battery died on the way to the shop, the store manager and 3 other employees ran out onto the busy street to help push the car up the hill and into the shop. I have bought many sets of tires through discount tire, and have never had an issue, until now. I took my truck in to get a low air sensor replaced, and my tires rotated. The next day I was replacing my brakes, and on the passenger side had a cross threaded lug nut. It came off without any issue. On the drivers side, another cross threaded nut. Cross threaded so bad, I broke the stud trying to get it off. What should have been a 30 minute job, turned into more than an hour due to having to go get parts to fix their screw up. When I talked to the store, I couldn't even speak to a manager, just one of the people working in front. The best they would offer, was the cost of the stud and nut. The point is that, had I had a flat while on the road, I would have been forced to either drive with only 4 lug nuts holding my tire on, or get a tow somewhere. In my humble opinion, this was a perfect example of how NOT to handle a valid complaint that was obviously their fault. Suffice it to say, I won't be giving any discount tire my business ever again. read more

Even before covid this location has made an effort to deliver the best customer service and servicing for your cars needs, and after covid, still impeccable customer service experiences. Recently had to have my wheels and tires done due to weather and excessive driving with work, and even late in the day they helped me get a bad wheel off so my steering wheel didn't shake. Ok so this location was my go to but not anymore this location lost my trust they lost my key to my rims and has been constantly promising to replace them in which I have not been able to resolution to that issue for months now and so they where able to just take the locks of the rims and placed normal Lugs on but what ever tech was working on my car decided to force lugs on all 4 of my rims and stripped them in which another discount found and in which almost broke it off due to how tight he placed them but after some muscle them off and found out that they F@@@ed up my lugs due to the poor work this location did to my SUV. read more

Ok... so I'm not going to hate too hard, because I know you guys need to make money. But about two weeks ago I went in to see if my flat tire could be fixed. Within a couple minutes an employee (won't name him, not trying to be too petty) told me there's nothing he could do for me, then proceeded to try to sell me two-four new tires starting at 179.00. I was flustered and couldn't afford it so I left. I was informed by a family member that I should probably get a second opinion. I took my tire to a small, local tire shop and they fixed it for TEN DOLLARS. Ok, why would you lie to me like that though? Even if you would have fixed it for $50 I would have done it. Instead someone else has my money and you got nothing from me. Try to be a little more honest I guess? But yeah, most likely will never come here again. read more

We had a curb accident while making a "restroom and eat" in Albuquerque. We stopped and came to this location for recommendation. We needed a new tire but they didn't carry the one we needed. Nikko was nice enough to check the other Discount Tires in the area to see which location carried my tire. Fortunately, one location did but we weren't able to make it there on time before closing. Nikko put the tire on hold for me so that it'll be ready for me the next morning at another location. I arrived at the other location the following morning and all I needed to say was there's a tire on hold for me and they took care of the rest. It made the issue less difficult to deal with since we're just passing by town and had to stay over night due to tire issue. read more

Did me wrong. Bought from them for decades, but today went in with a flat and got pressured to buy two tires. Tire was six years old with deep tread- this is our spare car so doesn't get driven much. Salesman showed me tiny cracks and said the tire wasn't safe to fix or drive on, I'd need two new tires. I refused, so he told me I'd have to wait three hours to get a simple plug. I was treated very disrespectfully simply because I was female. I was told I was to replace all 4 tires when they were still under warranty. The tires are 6000 miles old and have a 45000 mile warranty. I have had my husbands friend who is a mechanic look at the tires and they are fine. When I informed them I simply wanted the repair I was refused and told I had to replace the warranties tire. I paid extra for it to be picked up. I will be contacting them again to file a formal complaint and won't ever come here again. I visited this store on 12Jan2018 to patch a tire that had a nail in it. When I arrived, a technician went outside to check the tire, & then checked me in, saying that they would call us later today when the repair was finished. Later that afternoon I received a call & was advised that they were unable to repair my tire, & that I would have to purchase a new one. When I asked for an explanation, as the nail was in the very center of the tread, & nowhere near the sidewall, I was placed on hold. When the tech returned to the phone, I was advised that they had noted 2 other patches in the tire, in addition to a Monkey Grip, & that due to policy they wouldn't be able to patch the tire. I was then told that since my vehicle is an AWD, I would need to ensure that the tread matched on either the front or the rear tires, so I would actually need to purchase 2 new tires. I advised the tech that I had purchased a new tire from them in July 2018, & that I had not been told at that time of the tread needing to match. The tech said he would have to call me back; I asked that no work be performed on my vehicle. 30 minutes later, I received a 2nd call from Discount Tire. The tech told me that he saw that I had purchased a new tire, & said that since I had already replaced one tire in July of 2018, I would now have to purchase 3 new tires. I repeated my request that they not perform any work on my vehicle, & said I would go pick it up immediately. When I arrived at the office, a tech showed me on a piece of paper the depth of the tread on each of my tires. I stated that I was there to pick up my vehicle, & that I had requested no work be performed. I was told that the tire had already been repaired, & that one of their mechanics had mistaken a piece of rubber for a patch. I repeated to the tech that I would like to have my keys returned to me so that I could leave, & offered to pay for the tire repair, as the work had already been performed. I also requested contact information for a regional manager; the tech went out to the repair bay. A few minutes later, another tech approached me & asked that I explain what was happening. I repeated that I wanted to have the keys to my vehicle returned. This tech persisted, so I asked that he identify himself; he stated that he was the manager. I explained about the phone call stating that my tire was not able to be patched, that I had initially been advised that I would need to purchase 1 new tire, then being told that I would actually have to purchase 2 new tires, & that once it was learned I had already purchased a tire from them 6 months ago, I was advised that now I would have to purchase 3 new tires. This tech said that none of the info I received was true, that his mechanics/techs had made several mistakes, that this was all due to poor training, & that it would be handled. I was also told that they were not going to charge me for the repair of my tire, & asked what could be done to make it right. I advised him that I wanted my keys so that I could leave. This tech persisted in asking what could be done to make it right, finally telling me that "once I calmed down", maybe we could revisit the situation. I then advised him that I would be taking my car elsewhere. I am incredibly disappointed in the service I received, from the time of their 1st phone call to when I walked out the door with my vehicle; I was treated as though I were some foolish woman who didn't know any better. I am flabbergasted that they would try to rip me off by attempting to up sell me not only 1, not 2, but 3 new tires that I did not need. I hope that in bringing this to someone's attention, this location would at the very least receive additional training, that the hiring process be revised to include advanced screening to avoid inexperienced mechanics mistaking rubber for a patch, & that an internal audit be performed to ensure that their questionable business practices (read: hustle) are stopped. read more

This location has the absolute best customer service! All the employees are great they go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. I got a razor blade in my tire and my spare was too old to use. So discount helped get my tire replaced. My car got damaged and they fixed it within a day! They made sure I was okay and that my car was okay. I came here about 1 week ago with a flat tire thinking it happened because somebody removed the cap off of it (I obviously don't know anything about tires), and was told when I called over the phone that they provided caps for free. When I was helped, I explained what I thought had happened and asked how much it would be to pump air. The gentleman who helped me asked to take a look at my tire since it couldn't have gone flat over a missing cap. We soon discovered a cut on my tire, and being that it happened a month ago too, I was pretty devastated. He helped me get a price quote and I made a payment to get it replaced. Shortly after making the payment I thought of contacting my insurance and they informed me they'd most likely pay for it since it was vandalism. I was a little embarrassed but I asked if we could do a refund, he was very polite about it and processed my request. He did give me options and mentioned I could keep it for a little bit in case my insurance didn't cover it, I wouldn't have to go through the process of purchasing it again, or if they did cover it I could just go back and they would remove it and give me a refund. I didn't want to do that because if they did cover it, I didn't want to use the tire. I told him I had a spare and could just call roadside assistance. However, he went the extra mile and let me know they would just put on my spare tire so I didn't have to wait around and could drive safely. That really made me feel considered & gave me a whole positive view on this company. They replaced my tire immediately and I was well on my way. All of the gentlemen I encountered here were very kind and respectful. I will absolutely go here if I ever need anything in the future. I've been recommending this place left & right! I was a little needy, calling back and forth multiple times and trying to run in and out after my husband blew a tire. Every single employee I ran into was incredibly friendly and service oriented. Also a huge plus that they had my tires in stock. I couldn't recommend these guys more! I used to go to Costco, but they didn't have tires in stock, so I just happened upon these guys being close to my house... Made an appointment for two new tires, and to "save the best for spare" as my car did not come with a spare tire when I bought it. We had told them when setting the appointment what we needed done. Got there early, they took the car back early. Finished in about an hour. Two new tires: Yes. Asked about the spare...and the mechanic tapped the back of the car and said "Yep, it's in there, all done!" Got home and checked, no spare. Not even the "save the best for spare" part of the tire. As there was no spare, it was very obvious that the space for the spare was still empty. Drove back and asked about this. "You need a rim." Yes, of course. I thought I had already paid for that as part of the original service. I had been talking about a spare tire the entire time we had been setting up this service, as I needed a spare tire. Paid for the rim, no problem. No comment about not completing the original job or apology. Finally, got one of our original tires put on a rim. The mechanic helped put it in the car. I asked for my receipt for the rim as he had not given one to me after my purchase. He went back in the store and was able to find the receipt immediately. He reported that the tire he selected (the save the best for spare) had a nail in it that he removed and patched. Did not refund the disposal fee for that second tire that was not disposed of as it was turned into a spare tire. That is just a $2 fee, I won't sweat it. I was expecting more professional service for a $300 fee. read more
