I don't typically leave reviews for non-restaurant businesses, but the service I received was too good not to share! My partner got 4 new tires and was helped as soon as possible. The store is pretty busy, so the wait was a bit longer than advertised, but you could see everyone working hard through the glass window. Jesiah seemed very knowledgeable about tires and answered some questions I had about my tires as well, and they ended up helping me fix a small leakage issue for free as well as giving me a free tire rotation! I had four new tires installed. Service was quick and courteous, and the new tires are great. However, I was disappointed that they did not place the spare back in the proper location and secure it. They also did not reset the TPMS calibration. I expected both of these! Finally, I brought in an old tire for disposal and the counter man said he would get rid of it for me for free. Unfortunately, when I got home and looked in the back of the car the old tire was still there. They also installed my lug nuts and washers incorrectly and were going to send me down the road with two washers on one stud, zero washers on another stud, one washer impacted sideways. I had a tire went flat due to road debris. I put a temporary plug in to get me to safety. I drove to this location as it was very close and I had received excellent service from them in the past. I was promptly greeted and told an approx time to talk with an advisor. The advisor then greeted me only a few minutes later even though there were many people in the lobby area. They were dealing very well with a surge of customers. I explained what was going on and what I would like to see happen during my visit. The advisor told me it would be a 2 hour wait. I was expecting to be provided some pricing information, but I wasn't. After the two hours, my vehicle was ready and everything I had asked for was completed. No charge! I was flabbergasted! They removed the temporary plug, installed a proper plug/patch, did a full leak test, and rotated and balanced the tires for NO COST. After my previous good experience, I have recommended this location to many people. After this last awesome experience, I will recommend this location to anyone looking for tires, wheels, or tire repair. Well done! read more

Went pretty well. I've usually always used them for anything tire; but things seem to be changing....not for the better. Before DT would honor other tire prices, Costco/Sam's etc. Now, not so much. And keep in mind, this is the 2nd attempt to secure a competitors price. Wanted to purchase 4 tires here but get Costco tire pricing, wasn't gonna happen......AGAIN. I bought the protection package and yesterday I needed to replace a tire and they are replacing it today because I had to wait for them to get a tire from another city. Imagine a huge tire company like this and they still don't carry a tire they sold to you no where in the city. There is also a huge tire warehouse here in town that could have supplied the tire yet they chose to have a tire delivered from out of city. In all fairness the tire came back late yesterday afternoon. I requested the new tire at 8 am yesterday. Discount tires is the most unreliable tire company and does not give you customer satisfaction. They use scare tactics to make a sale so they can sell you tires that they have on site. That's another whole disappointment in itself. I can tell you. If you're buying a tire from this shady tire company then buyer beware. After spending the money I spent for a set of tires and certificates you would think that the replacement would come with a free certificate however they charge you for another certificate for the new tire. Basically you as a customer are paying for the transportation to have the new tire delivered from another city. It's a poor excuse for customer satisfaction. The entire place is staffed with 20 something's that I don't think have a true clue on tires. The fact that the manager would offer breakfasts to his employees in front of a line of customers is pretty much an insult to the waiting customers in 99 degree temps of corpus, you could have taken that to the garage out of ste to the public. In the end CS told them to cancel my order, which ditched my $80 memorial deal. Although I did get a proposal , I checked it out on the internet to find out he was selling a all season tire. I returned to a different sales man and purchased tires that met my expectations.. Upon returning, I am then told that I have to wait an additional 1-2 hours to have the tire mounted. All told, I had to wait over 4 hours to have a single tire replaced. Are used to be that it would be in an out under a half an hour, and I would be next in line. Don't know what happened to that plan. Really frustrating when you see three other people who come in later than you get in and get out in before you're even in the bay. It took 10 minutes to rotate my tires, I don't know if they re-balanced them they said they did,. I can always go to my garage and have them do it, and not worry about it. Took my work truck in to get two new tires put on this past Saturday Oct. 22 and I pick up the truck and notice the hubcaps were dented up pretty good. I proceed to ask the guy at counter that gave me my keys what that was all about. He says oh yeah the chrome ones? yeah those can get stuck so we had to beat them out. Really??? Beat them out??? Have you ever heard of lubricant and or a rubber mallet??? You can't tell me this is discount tire corporation standard procedure. Took my vehicle in for services on the tire pressure monitor sensors. The salesman that assisted me was Jonathan (Assistant Manager). He took the device out to get a reading on my tires. He noticed that one of the sensors needed to be replaced. When I picked up the vehicle later I noticed that it was still indicating that pressure was too high (74). So I went back inside and he said "oh it's because you need to drive it and it will reset itself". I drove it across town to another discount tire and a salesman by the name of Collin assisted me. I explained to him the issue. He went out and got them all back in synch. If only the first discount tire would have taken the time to make it right. Needed 3 new tires on our PT Cruiser. Took it into Discount Tire. Was given a price for 3 tires installed. Told us that the vehicle would be ready around 4pm. When the car was completed they said $$ & I issued a check. They processed the check & gave me a copy of the bill. Before we drove off we looked at the bill & there was a charge of $66.00, so my husband went inside & asked what the charge was for. He was informed that you purchase the tires from them & then they charge $22.00 per tire to put it on the wheel. Not once were we informed of that charge. My husband had a TIRE shop for over 41 years. The customer knew exactly what the TOTAL amount would be before work was started. No wonder they wanted to know if we wanted to pay up front. I just bought 4 new tires a day ago. When I got home they looked a little low, so when I got oil changed yesterday, I had them check the tires. 3 out of 4 tires where 6-8 psi low!!!! I have called twice asking to speak with a manager, left my name and number and no one has called me back. I have never yelped good or bad service but since tires are so important to safety, I feel I should write this. Maybe it's just this location that is incompetent? I just went to the Discount Tire at 6654 S Staples St, Corpus Christi, TX 78413, on 12/18/2014 to get a rotation and balance on my tires that had about 7300 miles on them. Everyone treated me so well as they did everyone that walked into the shop. Carlos helped me get a warranty on my tires since I like to have Discount's warranties on all my cars. Clay was the manager and he greeted everyone as they walked in and his enthusiasm and care for his customers was evident even when helping them on the phone. He greeted me immediately when I walked in even though he and all the technicians were very busy helping others. I was directed to the hot coffee, water, restrooms and seating by Carlos and enjoyed my wait time in the comfortable CLEAN surroundings. And the young man who came to get me and brought my car around was terrific and explained all the things they did. I'm so disappointed about the way they serve customers. My car has lost one wheel because some desperate people stole it. so I came to buy a tire at this store. My car uses RUN FLAT TIRE so I don't have a spare wheel. I wanted to loan a spare wheel so I can run my car to the store and install the wheel in. They refused and tricked me to buy a spare wheel which I don't need it. Then I asked them to let me borrow tools ( sockets and wrench), they told me to go to RALLY STORE and buy it. Wtf!!!! I just bought a tire from them which costs almost $400 and they can't lend me some sockets. I was so angry and disappointed.
