Don't do business with this company. I called ahead and got a quote for 88.43 for one tire. I then showed up ten minutes later. I wanted a new tire on the Front Left tire which was bald. The service rep, Jacob V, wanted to do a tire safety inspection. He recommended I replace all four tires even though the front passenger tire I had purchased three weeks earlier. I have a receipt for that. He kept BSing, and BSing trying to get me to buy more tires even though I had no problem with the other three. I pay for just the Front Left tire to be replaced. They put the new tire on the Back Left and the front left tire that was bald was still on the Front Left. I ask them to fix it, and I come out and they put another new tire on the back right and move the back right tire to the front left. I get the manager, and by this time I'm screaming at him. Finally they move one of the new tires to the front left and put the other tire on the back right where it started out at. I was in an accident and the front alignment is off. The front tires burn, so that's why the front left tire was bald. I wanted a brand new front left tire, bc I'm about to drive across the state of Texas. The front bald tire wouldn't make it to the DFW area. i wanted a brand new tire on the Front Left, so that I would be able to make it there. I did not want the back tires touched at all, and at one point had two new back tires. I've gone to a dozen alignment shops and all have refused to align the front tires. read more

My car doesn't use regular air in the tire and uses hydrogen which only a few places have. Every time the temperature drops my tire pressure drops. We were traveling for the day from Las Cruces, NM & ended up with a flat tire right after breakfast. What a nightmare! But THANK GOODNESS Discount Tire was close to us. We got there, waited outside due to social distancing regulations, and got in and out. Got 4 new tires installed within 2-3 hrs. However, once we got into the car, we noticed that the tires were not at the right PSI so we had to drive it to the back again for them to fix it, so they could've been more detail oriented. It could've been a lot worse for us, so we're so glad to have had these nice guys at Discount Tire! TIP: The guys here will most definitely try to sell you on more than you wanted, so keep an open mind & figure out what's best for you. They aren't extremely knowledgeable about tires, but will show you user reviews & a website for you to compare different tires which we found moderately helpful. This used to be my go-to tire shop, but I will not be returning after my recent experience. I feel the staff tried to take advantage of the fact that I was a female. After buying 3 new tires (which was needed due to the tread depth being at 3.32) they tried to tell me I needed to pay an additional $90 to replace all the lug nuts because they were worried about stripping them. The car is a 2016 and in good shape. Never in my life has a shop told me all my lug nuts were "going bad" and that it was a "serious safety concern." I told them I would make a call and see. I called an old friend who is a mechanic and who has worked in tire sales and they told me they have never experienced this before or charged anyone for this before either. The staff never returned to discuss the lug nuts after the phone call and my car was ready about 15min later. TLDR: They will try to take advantage of customers who they believe don't know much about vehicles. Ask questions and do your research. I hope this helps others read more

I've been buying my tires at Discount Tire in various cities since I was a teen because that's where my parents went. In just about the half dozen cities I've resided and utilized Discount Tire, I've been a pleased client. They repair tire whenever possible and replace at no charge with their road hazard warranty. I feel like the people who work here are honest and ethical. They are often busy, but that's just because they're popular. I usually make an appointment or have someone pick me up so I don't have to wait. They recently added a new drive they line for their customers to come get free air in their tires by one of their technicians without even having to get out of the car. I like coming to this specific Discount Tire location. It's close to the house and the service has mostly been good for me. I haven't been in awhile because I go to Sam's for my car/tire needs these days. Sam's is a little bit cheaper than Discount Tire. I mostly went to Discount Tire prior to getting a membership at Sam's. This Discount Tire often has a long wait, especially on Saturdays! It's best to get there as early as possible. I always tried to arrive as soon as they open, at 8 am or so. I'm a morning person so that's perfect for me. I'm usually awake by 5, 6 am, sometimes 4 am. I would also recommend going on a weekday. Wednesdays or Thursdays are probably the best days. They're closed on Sundays so you have people rushing in on Mondays. People are off from work on Saturdays so there's that. I like that Discount Tire will check/fix a flat tire for no charge. They'll repair the tire instead of making you purchase another one if at all possible. Tires for my car are not that cheap. One tire usually costs at least $130 give or take. I'm always thrilled when they can fix it without me purchasing another one. Also, I feel like the employees are honest. I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of because I'm a woman. Unfortunately, there are still places that think they can take advantage of women when it comes to anything car related. I've had people try to pull that on me but let me just say knowledge is power. I actually know a thing or two about cars, the maintenance of them, etc. I'm not saying I'm an expert but I know more or less what things cost on average. Prices have for sure gone up! I would come here as a backup to Sam's. I believe there's still Oasis Tires down the street but I'm not crazy about going there. They sell cheaper, used tires at Oasis but the service isn't great there. They're nicer and more professional here. read more

Their estimates of wait times are very accurate, they suggested a couple option with the price, pros and cons for each. I give less than 1 star. Im a 2 decade customer. I went in Hondo pass location to get a nail out. My tires still have good thread and lifetime warranty. The tech kept trying to make a sale instead of taking nail out. I spoke to manager. He told me its not under warranty if tire tread less than a certain inch. What IS THE LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR THEN? Liars. They upset me so bad i will never do business with them again. I went down the street to another tire place and they took nail out /patched it. No problems, he said. My daughter and I were traveling from Austin to Phoenix to visit my other daughter, and about 20 minutes before El Paso our low tire pressure gage came on. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express about 2 miles away from Discount and we were so lucky it was so close. It was too late to get there before they closed so we went first thing in the morning. Tire was totally flat. Stopped at a gas station on a back road in a neighborhood, aired it up, made it to Discount, air holding. (screw in the tire) Jose helped us, got us in way sooner than anticipated, too. With hesitance, I leave poor reviews because I don't desire to hurt local businesses. Be cautious and aware that Discount Tires uses carefully scripted sales that could be deceptive. A couple of weeks after I bought a new car I hit a object that serious damaged one of the tires. I had Discount Tires replace it with the same brand at a premium price. Later I developed problems with the bought tire and they denied they sold it to me. They went through a sales script attempting to sell me four new tires with out any credit for the tire they sold me prior and still under warranty. The sales pitch was clever. I went to COSTO and bought four new premium tires at a lower price than the budget tires they proposed to me. Buyer beware. read more

Discount Tire is awesome. When I moved from El Paso, this was one business I truly missed. All the guys take care of you and I never feel pressured into buying something. They patched my tire for FREE even though I hadn't bought my current set of tires from them. My tire light came on when the temperature dropped, I drove up to the air station, he topped me off on all my tires and took a little extra time to check them out to make sure the patch wasn't leaking.
