Never again will I take any of our vehicles here…read more First off, I paid $212 last week for the turbo gasket and cam shaft cover for a 2014 Chevy Cruze, only later to find out this was covered under the power train warranty! My fault for trusting them and not calling the dealer first. I was told if the engine light comes back on, that means the turbo is out and I need to take it to the dealer. Engine light came back on 2 days later, I called the dealer, made an appointment. On the 3rd day, the car started leaking oil. I called Lou and asked him specifically, did he do anything to the car that would have caused an oil leak. He said NO. I told him I had an appointment at the dealership and would have them look into. Very next day realize that nearly ALL THE OIL had drained from the engine. Not just drained but exploded like a volcano under the hood. First thought, blown head gasket. Dealer has the car for a day....conclusion - the part I paid for wasn't installed properly, bolts were not tightened on top of the engine and the Cam Shaft cover had to be replaced AGAIN! ! I went to the shop with my diagnostic from the dealer and was greeted with the most disrespectful attitude I've ever encountered. So likewise I displayed the same disrespect to Lou. Unbelievable! Just admit you made a mistake that nearly caused the engine to blow and refund my money. But instead I was told he wasn't listening to it and have a nice day. A basic fuck you, get out of my shop. Gladly! Never going back.NEVER referring anyone again. For $65 an hour, know what the fuck you are doing

A Rare Find on Route 66 -- Jack's 66 Service…read more While waiting for my oil change and tire rotation, I witnessed something I thought had gone extinct somewhere between rotary phones and $1 gas: genuine customer service. One customer brought in a part to be installed -- unfortunately, it was faulty. Instead of shrugging and charging for labor anyway (as many shops might), the team at Jack's 66 caught the problem before installation. Then, the owner himself picked up the phone and called the store where the part was purchased to help the customer get an exchange. Who does that anymore? Moments later, another customer came in with a service light for an air filter. Instead of booking an appointment and a bill, the owner grabbed his tools, walked out to the car, and checked it right there in the lot -- saving the customer both time and money. In a world where honesty in auto service feels like finding a four-leaf clover, Jack's 66 is an entire field of them. Fair, kind, and refreshingly human -- I'll definitely be back.

I went to 3 other local shops for a quote and no one took care of me the way Freer did. Called the insurance of the person who hit me to get me answers, helped adjust my bumper before I left their lot to make it a bit better for me to drive (without me even asking, might I add). They used Carwise which texted me updates on timeline and estimates. Called me and coordinated with insurance/rental car like no other. My repair ended up taking about a week longer than expected. More damage was found but it was clearly communicated to me that it was possible, and they gave me an update each step. They even had an after hours pick up which worked perfect for my schedule. Left me a card and a beautiful rose (such as kind touch). My car was clean and shiny on the outside (sad it won't last long due to all the snow and salt) with the inside vacuumed and smelling great! Truly can't recommend Freer enough. Kind, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and truly excellent service. I will trust Freer with all auto body repairs going forward!

I had the brakes inspected by 2 other local shops, before calling Drake. Both shops told me I needed new brakes and rotors, quoting me around $500. Drake's pricing was less than the others but once the technician looked over everything, I received a phone call telling me that I did NOT need new brakes and rotors. It was actually a brake fluid issue, which they took care of. It cost me $39 total vs $500 other shops were more than happy to charge me. Their employees work ethics is commendable. Their honesty and not trying to take advantage of a customer is unfortunately not common practice today. They have my future business and recommendation!
