Good for tires, but... Took my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for oil change, tire balance & rotation, thermostat issue. They took care of those issues, but then said I needed new spark plugs. I looked back at my receipts to discover my spark plugs only have 25,000 miles and are good for 100,000 miles. Are they trying to scam for more business? Will not be returning here. read more

FYI: ALWAYS HAVE A CURRENT CARFAX REPORT!!! Discovered "Zip ties" and damaged Direct Injection High Pressure Fuel Pump but replaced with unnecessary "In-tank Fuel Pump. Second opinions and corrected repairs after being scammed by Jerry's Tire Sales. Jerry's Tire Sales and Auto Repair was a reputable business under the ownership of Brian & Keith Lee. Brian was a very honest and professional mechanic. I bought a new 2015 Kia Soul from Frederico Kia and had continuous maintenance service through Frederico Kia in Wood River from purchase in 2015 through 2021. Frederico tried to push me to purchase a new car instead of getting the new brakes needed in 2021. Brakes went out when driving 8/2021. Couldn't get service appointment at Jerry's. Towed car to Dobbs Tire Auto, Hwy 157. Brakes replaced. Maintenanced continuously from 2021 to 2023 at this Dobbs establishment. Dobbs not a very reputable establishment. 2015 Kia was taken to Jerry's Tire & Auto in March 2023 under the management of Chris Gerstenecker. Multiple issues and problems continued with each "non-estimated" repair April 2023 through August 2, 2024. Problems continued and discovered repairs by Jerry's Tire and Auto were repairs not necessary but expensive, wrong repairs, induction "faked" and more discrepancies not admitted by Jerry's and discovered by second opinions through June 13, 2025. Second opinion establishments would not repair or remove damaged/mysterious zip ties, or incorrect engine parts. Requested Jerry's admit their wrongdoing with the BBB complaint September 9, 2024 and confronted on June 11, 2025. Chris continued to deny unethical actions. The cost of proper repairs and scammed repairs totalled over $17,000 cash and credit. Learned to always get a second opinion/third opinion before work gets done. Plaza Tire and Auto repair did reputable repairs that have lasted to-date, October 20, 2025. The car has been in excellent condition since Plaza Tire and Auto Repair have exclusively done repairs/maintenance on the 2015 Kia Soul. Car doesn't shake, lose power, have to be towed. Longest period of time not feeling PTSD in the Kia and now on regular preventive maintainence schedule through Carfax. read more

The staff here is amazing. I called with a problem and they had me come in to take a look at it, told me what needed to be done and with in a few days called me back to make sure I wanted to get the tires. They got my tires ordered and my appointment scheduled for the next day. I was quoted an hour or more for the service and they had it knocked out in 45 minutes. I had an appt for a tire rotation on 12-10-20. The door was locked when I arrived . No customers were allowed in according the the attendant who poked his nose out. I jokingly chuckled through my mask and asked him if he thought that they may be carrying this a little too far? He snapped back and told me that it WAS NOT funny and they found this to be no laughing matter whatsoever!! He said that they had an employee who was in cancer treatment and that they made this decision in addition to what the Governor dictates. I guess I was properly admonished!! It was quite surprising to be talked to this way. It was beginning to rain so I asked him where was I supposed to wait? He told me he" didn't know, perhaps I should go hang out at Walgreens". Unbelievable. Apparently, Jerry's plan for customers ,who are waiting on service, is to put a few wooden dining room chairs out on the asphalt by the front door. Its an open area adjacent to the main road, with no shelter. Its the middle of December. It was beginning to rain with more weather coming in. I was kind of stunned by all this. Initially, I gave him my keys and sat on the little wooden chair to collect my thoughts. After a bit, I was growing furious. I asked for my keys and I left. I am not opposed to giving extra consideration for a cancer patient, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. This is not acceptable. You never correct or admonish your customers like this. Furthermore, if you have no waiting room facilities available for your customers in the middle of the winter, let them know when they book the appointment. I have bought 3 full sets of tires from this business in the last few years. It was three too many. I believe in supporting the small businessman, but I will not put up with this. They always seem to have the customer's needs as their primary concern. They will not recommend that you pay for unnecessary parts or services. They also seem to sell quality components. Always reliable and the cheapest prices in town! Went to walmart and they charge $100 for a full synthetic oil change, so I went to jerrys and it was $60 something. Also, when I needed new brakes, I got a quote from Edwardsville auto and Dobbs. Jerrys was cheaper than both by over $150!! Always great service and they don't screw ya. Awesome place! My boyfriend is in the AF and had to leave from Illinois to SD on Saturday. We dropped the car off 10 minutes before close on Friday and they were short handed and fully booked and they stayed an hour after close to get his tires on and rotated properly and texted us letting us know what was going on and needed to be done! I had a good experience when I bought my 4 new Michelin tires. The employees were friendly. I was able to leave the car on a Saturday morning and pick it up later that morning. However, getting the car back into the shop for the free rotations has been a headache. They close at 5:30 pm thru the week; therefore it is never on option to get the work done during the work week. If you want to make an appointment for a Saturday, you need to schedule two weeks in advance which is not very convenient. read more

DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM JERRY'S if you want service after the sale. Most people that work Monday - Friday can't make it to the business thru the week since they close at 5:30 pm. If you want service, such as a tire rotation, on Saturday you need to schedule it 2 weeks in advance. Even if you schedule an appointment, it does not mean your vehicle will be serviced at that time. They do not make money rotating tires that they sold; therefore, your vehicle is NOT a priority. New tires are an investment and need to be maintained. If you want to maintain your new tires-DO NOT BUY them from Jerry's. I should have bought my tires at Walmart. They will match anyone's price and at least, I would be able to get them rotated. Dobbs is also a better alternative. They will match the price also and they have much better hours. The old Jerry's in East Alton, IL treated the customers much better. read more

We rolled at 8:10 AM on a Saturday with no appointment and flat in the trunk. We rolled out at 9:30 AM with a new tire and a charge of $5.00. Tires may the same anywhere, but the people at Jerry's are exceptional. Buy your tires here. read more
