I am from Kansas and my son and I went to Las Vegas on 6/22/26. My son drove back on 6/28/26 and ended up having his tire blow out. He had an appointment for 11am on 6/29/68 for this store to replace the tire. He ended up buying all 4 tires. My sons wheels had a locking bolt on them. They got all 4 of them off and all 4 tires replaced in less than 20 minutes. They said 1 hour. We were shocked they got done so fast. They are freaking awesome. Monday was my birthday so I didn't want to spend a lot of time waiting on them to be replaced. I would recommend this store to everyone. I am not from Colorado, but you should use this store. We stopped by this location on our long trip to Colorado, Utah and Arizona. I discovered that my recently purchased Van Camper was missing a discount tire wheel lock key and did not receive it from the original owner. I called this location when I was a few hours away and scheduled to purchase the key. When I arrived, the staff was attentive, took time to make sure the wheel lock key was the proper fit to my wheel locks. I offered to pay and they did not want to charge me and said that they take good care of all their customers and wanted to make sure that I was safe in my 2500 mile journey. My family has been loyal Discount Tire customers for over 40 years, but after what happened this week, I'm seriously questioning whether I'll ever return. We recently took our truck in for a 5-tire rotation at the Grand Junction location. The spare, which had been stored underneath, was moved to the front driver-side position. Fast forward to today--just days after the service--four out of six lug nuts completely sheared off that wheel during an off-road trip. We had just driven over 60 miles, including highway speeds of 80 mph through Utah and tight mountain switchbacks. The man who came to help us confirmed the cause: the lug nuts were not properly torqued. This wasn't just poor service--it was a critical safety failure. Had the wheel come off at highway speed, the consequences could've been tragic. We were extremely lucky. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. For a company I've trusted for decades, this is unacceptable. They did a great job and had them bagged and loaded in the vehicle with the all terrains back on the rig. I can't say enough about how much my husband and I appreciate the service we received here. We drove on a leaking tire all the way from Vegas on our way home to Denver, having to stop multiple times to get air. We rolled into Discount Tire at 4:30 without an appointment. What was a dent in the rim had turned into a crack and it was not fixable. The young man who helped us called around and found an after-market rim that would work on our Volvo that requires special order rims. The boss drove to pick it up, they put the new rim on with our original Discount Tire and we were on our way in an hour. They were all amazing and helped us through a stressful situation. After being turned away from Sam's Club where I bought my tires, I went to Discount Tire to get my tires rotated. They didn't bat an eye and said that they would not charge for the rotation. But that is not what really impressed me. It was the compassion i witnessed, not once but twice in the 45 minutes I was in their lobby. One was a woman who was on her way to a medical appointment and had picked up a nail. The service given was up and beyond. The other was a woman who seemed to be in crisis and her flat tire was the last straw. The service here is amazing. We were on our way home from my niece's graduation in Boulder when the tire pressure light came on. We looked for a tire place to get it checked out and found Discount Tire. They immediately check the air pressure and found a small nail in one of the tires. We of course had them repair it and when it came time to pay did not charge us informing us that it is a free service. We were shocked! I purchased Pirelli all weather tires for over $1,200 and my clean wheels were left very dirty and the tire sidewalls had some white powder all over them and two tires even had some type of glue on them and on one wheel (my no touch tire foam cleaner couldn't remove some of it)! Not a nice experience at all even though the tire salesman was nice to me the installers could have been more considerate! I've had better service at my Nissan dealership but it would have taken them 2 weeks to put on my new tires if I had purchased the pirellis through them! The only other positive thing I can say about Discount Tire is that it only took them two days to order and install my new tires and they only required a down deposit of $25 before I payed the remaining balance by credit card when I actually arrived at the store to have the tires installed and they even checked my tire pressure sensors on all four wheels at no extra charge and gave me a $60 military discount towards my purchase! read more

I have been a long time Discount Tire customer. However, I'm living in a new town, and this store JUST opened. I brought in my truck to have a new set of tires installed. My FJ cruiser has been lifted, and I typically run larger than stock tires. Some tire places either argue that my desired size won't fit (despite the fact I already have that size on the truck). Not these guys...I ordered a set in my desired size, they ordered it, and in day days had them in and installed on my truck. They also diagnosed a problem with my TPMS and fixed it, and had me on the road. When everything goes right, it's easy to write a nice review. But when things don't go right, that's when you want to look a little closer. Discount Tire - both locations in Grand Junction are excellent! Today, however, I tried the one on Hwy 50 (near the mall) for seasonal tire changes. I had a new-to-me car that I had put a new set of (used) wheels and had ordered a set of Blizzak tires that had just come in. I mentioned that I had a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) light that had come on after installing these new-to-me wheels and mentioned that I might need new sensors as these were probably 8 year old wheels. When it came time to pick up the car, the new tires looked great and I settled up and went on my way - only to find out that I still had a TPMS problem. It just wouldn't work. Enter Mr. Houston! He met me in the parking lot, listened to my explanation of what was not working, and was PERFECT. He didn't argue, he merely began trying to solve the problem. After sending me out again to try resetting the system, it was still "no-go". The TPMS system wouldn't work. It would have been easy for him to say, "Sorry - there must be something wrong with your car...take it elsewhere." But that's not what he did. He went back in, began reviewing the notes on the car and then had his installers take off all the wheels (they must have loved this) and install new, programmable sensors. Then he sent me back on my way. This time it worked! Everything was perfect. This is how you want it to work when it doesn't work the first time! Hats off to Mr. Houston (please don't say 'Houston, we have a problem, he's heard it every day of his grown-up life) and also a big call out to Robby, (I think he may be the manager) for excellent customer service skills. This is a quality operation and it deserves your business. It's certainly won mine! read more

So I want to start this review by saying that I'm a huge fan of Discount Tire! And I will continue to buy tires for all of my vehicles there. That said, I took my 89 y.o. dad and his Toyota truck to the 25rd/6&50 location to check whether his tires (that he bought there) needed rotation. They looked it up and said he didn't need it for quite a while yet. But while we were there, I asked them about a tire indicator light on the dash. No problem. They just had me pull the truck over to their free air pressure check station. The tech at the air station checked the pressure in all 4 tires but the light remained on. So he went and got a testing device and proceeded to plug a cord into the OBD port on the truck. Just the cord. He never attached the meter to the cord, but I'm not sure that's necessary or not. He then went from tire to tire, and held the meter next to the valve and stated that all 4 Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors were bad. So we were quoted approx. $260.00 to replace the sensors and set up an appointment for the following Saturday. That very afternoon, my dad received a call from the Toyota dealer that had serviced his truck that morning. They wanted to come to his house and check his vehicle because they found a spot of oil on their floor. It turned out that the mechanic had used an extra gasket on the oil filter and so it started leaking. Huge Kudos to them for following up so thoroughly. But while they were there, I asked them why no one checked the tire pressure light. They apologized stating that the same mechanic that changed the oil had done their 35 point check, and he should have caught that. They asked "was the light on solid or flashing?" When I said solid, they said that that indicated low tire pressure and that a flashing light indicated sensors going bad. After checking the 4 drive tire pressures that Discount had checked, they lowered the spare tire and checked that tire. Sure enough, the pressure was 30 psi! So they increased the pressure to 35 psi and the indicator light went off. Great, my dad who is on a fixed income didn't have to spend $260.00! Not wanting to have this happen to anyone else, I went to this store at 8am this morning and asked to talk to a manager. When the manager came out, I recounted the same story to him. Even going so far to say that "maybe" the tech that checked them didn't quite know what he was doing, or that "maybe" the equipment needed to be checked. I shouldn't have wasted my time, as the manager indicated that their equipment was being used properly and worked as it should. He did apologize, nodded his head and said OK a lot, but I had the clear impression that he really didn't care. I'm sure that tech never even heard a word about it! So as I started out with this rant, "I will continue to buy tires from Discount as I've never had anything but good experiences when buying tires from them". And I'm not saying they did this on purpose to gain more revenue. ;-{ However, "maybe" get a second opinion when it comes to anything beyond the actual tires. And don't expect any action or satisfaction if you speak directly with the store manager. read more

I've never left a review before but I was so thankful for their excellent customer service... I realized I had a flat tire at a car wash on a Saturday at 5:30, with my 3 kids on the car.... Knowing they would be closed that Monday for a holiday, I drove down the road to discount hoping they were still open... they had closed 30 minutes prior, but were still working on another vehicle so offered to air up my tire... when they realized my tire had two nails in it they fixed it even though it was well after closing time. On 5/16/19 at about 5:30pm I searched online for free air for my tires & heard Discount Tire was free so that I could do it myself. I pulled up to the air machine & was about to get out of my car when a young man walked over towards me. He said that Discount Tire provides a free air check. He proceeded to fill all my tires and as I suspected the right rear passenger tire was leaking air. The mechanic told me there was a nail in the tread and told me to park the car near the front entrance and someone would register me and fix the puncture for free! Although I rarely carry cash, I tipped the 1st mechanic. I wish I had more cash to tip the associate that registered my car. I have a disability and both employees were lifesavers today! I am new to this area but have used Discount Tire on the East Coast. This shop will always have my business going forward! Just yesterday, I went to Firestone nearby and was basically shrugged off on whether they could just fill my tires but told I could wait & see for 10 min. I left.
