They do good oil changes but every time they always try to sell me on other issues with my car and it ends up being 300+ dollars.

Stopped in here last week on 1-18 (Sunday) on my way to the Shot Show in Las Vegas. I was having some transmission issues (clunking and failure to engage) with my 2017 Ford Expedition (151k miles). Wrench warning light on. I talked with them and decided to try a transmission fluid replacement since it might be low (no way to check, only from underneath) and was certainly tired after 150k miles. They had me completed in about an hour and checked many other items on the vehicle, which was greatly appreciated. We made to LV and back with no further issues, although I do plan on getting transmission checked by a shop back here in NOCO. Highly recommend Brandon and his team, honest guys that treat the customer very well. If I lived in GJ, I would use these guys on a regular basis. Plus, they were open on a Sunday! read more

Stranded in a parking lot with a NEW battery--replaced 15 mins prior and car (Ruby) still won't start. Grease Monkey N. Ave recommended by passerby who use to work there. ("New battery? Probably alternator, talk to Shawn." ) I call them (tG 4 cell phones!) to learn GM closes in 19 minutes. Shawn gets details, 4 minutes later pulls up and jumps my car (WTF is w/ this new battery?) and I follow him to the garage not even 4 blocks away. 3 mins later Ruby is pulled into the bay and the work begins. While Shawn is investigating the cause of the problem, another GM tech is checking and refilling my tires. Indications are not the alternator, not the battery cable, not the battery; could be the starter but not likely. Checking out the starter is a process for another day. Meanwhile he cleans the negative terminal clamp and battery cable showing corrosion. Ruby restarts consistently 7 times in a row. Pull her out of the bay. Convo with Shawn--"If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Call me tomorrow if your car won't start--here's my card." "Whadda I owe ya?" "No charge." It's close to 5:30pm--45 minutes of fruitless work, 30 minutes after closing time and no charge? I appreciate that Shawn didn't insist on needlessly "repairing" something, or keeping Ruby overnight, just to justify the time spent (after-hours) on examination that yielded no results, and make some coinage. I recommend this GM based on responsiveness, efficiency, honesty and an "above and beyond" customer service ethic. My thanks to Shawn and his crew. read more

We took our very well maintained truck in for an oil change approximately January 10th / $85.00 They pulled the air filter out & showed me - it didn't need replacing. A day later the engine light came on the dashboard. We took it to our trusted mechanic- IT SHOWED THE LOWER AIR BOX WAS DAMAGED FROM SOMEONE OVER-TIGHTENING THE SCREWS & CAUSED THE FILTER TO NOT FILTER FULLY, ALLOWING THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR TO GET DIRTY. The mass air flow meter monitors the amount of air going into the engine, this can cause incorrect fueling when dirty. When we contacted the manager he took NO responsibility for damage! He said the truck came in that way even though we had no engine light coming on till they touched our truck. No one else touched our air filter other than them. They took it out & put it back in the truck. This has cost us $240.00 to resolve the problem & they won't help at all read more

I recently, within the last few months, written a good review regarding Grease Monkey at this location. I've since realized why my vehicle is acting up lately with the recent oil loss, hard shifting. Come to find out, they've been using 5-30 weight in my vehicle. The oil cap & vehicle manufacturer states 10-30 weight. I've been constantly burning oil with the warning light coming on, saying "oil level low". I've Never had this issue before much less run into an oil changing place that doesn't know the specs of a vehicle or know how to read black and white (actually, yellow and black) on the fill cap. I'm not even going to mention the wiper issues I've had pertaining to this location. I 100% Retract the previous 5-star review. And I'm hoping, at the end of this, there's a chance to upload a pic of Their sticker showing 5-30 was added. I've been in Colorado ~6 months and this is the worst rip-off scheme I've run into; and unfortunately, there's been too many in such a short period of time. Starting to understand why I'm seeing so many homes for sale. If you want to spend more money on repairs after your visit to "Grease Monkey"...visit this business! WATCH OUT LADIES AND UNSUSPECTING INDIVIDUALS!!! I was in town visiting my son who attends CMU this weekend. He needed an oil change, so I took his truck in for him while he was doing some school stuff. He told me he gets the standard oil change and it is around $80. When I pulled up, there two other cars in front of me in my lane. A nice gentleman came to car and asked if I had been there before. I told him that my son usually goes here and he grabbed the sticker from the windshield. I told him that wanted the $80 oil change. He said no problem and that it was just the standard parts. I asked him how long and he said it would be 10 mins once I was in the bay and since there were 2 cars in front it would be about 1/2 hr. I told him no problem. About 15 mins later, another gentleman came in the waiting area and told me some of the recommended services that needed to be done. He also acknowledged that the cabin air filter was a little dusty, but that I appears that we take care of that ourselves, which we do. Since we are from California, I told him that my husband would take care of that stuff when my son comes home for the holidays. About 15 mins later, a worker came in and gave me a total price of $149.82! I was stunned! I said, excuse me, but it is only supposed to be around $80. He said that they put a premium air filter in. I told him that I did not ask for premium and that in fact the man who helped me in the beginning confirmed that it was the standard parts. I said I would absolutely not pay that. He then excused himself to go get a manager. I told another customer, who was a man that they were crazy if they thought I was a dumb woman that they could take advantage of. My first job was at an auto parts store! The manager came in and said that my son had a note in his file that he wanted the premium filter the next time he came in. I knew this was not the truth. I told both the worker and the manager that they could take the premium filter out and put the standard one in. The manager said oh no that's OK. You can have the premium we won't charge it. He then proceeded to knock off a $10 web discount a $20 discount and then a 10% web discount off the price knocking the amount I owed down to $86 with tax. This is ridiculous. I wonder if the owner or corporate knows that these gentlemen are trying to take advantage of people. There is no way that if they actually put a premium air filter on that they would let me have it for free. What a scam. read more

These guys were amazing! We're doing a cross country trip from California to Florida and on our second day our tire got extremely wobbly and unsafe. It was Sunday around 4. Everything was closed, but not them fortunately. I called them and told him my problem and he said they could help. I was so grateful! They had the equipment to remove our tire and put on the spare. A belt was blown in the tire. They were all very kind, professional and helpful. They were done in about 20 minutes and charged me an extremely fair price! No gouging! Yay! My brakes had been neglected (oops) and decided to protest by suddenly making severe grinding noise on my way back to Denver from a camping trip. I had my brake fluid flushed at the dealership during the previous oil change but the mechanics at this location kindly informed me that the quality was awful and I should pay them for another flush. While this could be a case of he said/ she said between the different shops, the guy behind me in line complaining that the same thing happened to him solidified my concerns.
