Winston was a great help with checking the air in my tires. He was efficient, professional, and got the job done quickly. From the time I got in line to the time I was serviced, the wait was about 10 minutes, even with three cars ahead of me. In total, I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I do not see the point of making appointment. It seems like you still have to wait 45 min to an hour for them to get your car inside so it can get serviced. There is a problem either with their system or the people who is working. They are not working on correct appointment order. I stopped in today to get pricing for tires for my SUV. The young man, Jeremy, was very helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, and polite. The showroom, needs attention. The ladies restroom was in very poor condition. It had not been properly cleaned in some time. It needs a good scrubbing from top to bottom. The franchise owner of this location needs to spend some money for professional cleaning for restrooms and showroom. I have visited this location of Discount Tire two times now, and both times they gave me excellent service. Everyone here works with a sense of urgency, and during my most recent visit Antoni took great care of me. Both times I had nails in the sidewall of my tire, so the whole tire needed to be replaced. No location of discount tire keeps the wider tires that my car needs so it is usually a 2 day wait. During my most recent visit, I stopped in around 4:30pm to get my tires checked and my tire was expedited, shipped, and ready to be mounted on to my car the next day around 11am. On top of the quick turn around time, the associates and their website are willing to price match if you are able to find your tires at a cheaper price. I have even had the experience of emailing their price match service only to be told that they found it even cheaper somewhere else and can offer the same savings to me. I got a flat tire on the Beltway 8 & Hammerly Rd. My vehicle did not come with a spare tire. However, I did purchase the warranty if I end up getting a flat tire. I called HCTRA, they sent a deputy, and the deputy called the toll trick for me. I had to get a tow truck to tow my car to the nearest Discount Tire (I-10/ between Wilcrest & Kirkwood). Aaron greeted me when I walk in. Told him what happened. Went outside to check my tires out. He made sure he had my tires in stock before the tow truck unhook my car. Had a nail in my tire and the pressure was low. I usually take my car to the dealership for everything but called Discount Tire before work to get an estimated repair time. Pedro was very patient with me as I asked a few dumb questions and he also answered the phone and told me what to do once I arrived at the place. I got my tire patched up and refilled (is that the correct term? lol) in about 30 minutes and I couldn't be more grateful. I will definitely return! I also want to point out that I mistakenly went to a nearby place because it's right on the same road and I immediately left because there was no one there to provide customer service. I went inside and was alone, I even called the business line while I stood inside. Came in for routine R/B on my vehicle, and only thing they would see me for is if I actually spent money at the store. Was also told my tires only had a mileage warranty of 45k, when I stated "nah man I'm pretty sure it's 60k" was blown off and spoken to like a child. Went back home, got receipt and what do you know? The mileage warranty is 60k. Also was told two of my tires were at 2/32nds of tread depth. Went back home and they are at 4 (almost 3) 32nds. Now don't get me wrong, that's definitely at replace soon levels but have seen a lot worse tires get better service from other locations. Don't know if it's just this specific store or the whole company, but seems like they only want to sell something and the second you say no you are no use to them and they don't want to deal with you anymore. I decided to go to this Discount Tire location because of a declining level of service and quality at my normal location closer to my house. This was an excellent choice because the difference in how the two locations operate was like night and day! The people in this location (both front office and repair bays) were all outstanding, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. My appointment was set for 12:30pm and I was out the door by 12:55pm with a full set of new tires and wipers. As an added unexpected bonus, when they installed the wipers, they cleaned the inside of my windshield as well. It's little things like that, as well as the courtesy and efficiency, that let me know this is a well trained staff with a customer service focus. read more

If I could give this location zero star I would. After bringing my vehicle in for a tire sensor repair I was told that I need four new seniors that cost me $240 dollars. I told them what the problem that was creating the issue when I came on for the repair. This issue was diagnosed by two other Discount tire enters that validated the issue. THe spare tire creating the issue. THIS LOCATION confirm the spare tire issue after replacing the four old ones. The the told me the spare tire sensor could not be replace due to the age of the spare. I had to buy a spare. I was then told that hey would replace the sensor on the existing spare at no charge. To me they should have only charge me their costs for thel of the sensors I have been a customer with Discount Tire over 25 years Note. I stop at the location in Huntsville Texas that provided me the diagnostics on the last week.. Spare tire sensor was the issue. Driving from Houston to Dallas did not allow me to service it. The location had a over a hour wait. I decided to continue my drive to Dallas and then make the repair. On last Saturday the Desoto, Texas location diagnosed spare tire sensor was the issue. This is the first location that ignored me entirely even though they knew I was there. I went into this location to get an air check. When I got to the front the individuals looked at me and walked away. Now it's hot and I understand. Breaks are required so I waited. 10 minutes later the gentleman walked out, walked past me and started working on something else. I pulled the window down to ask if the place was doing an air check and he said yes and kept walking. After another 5 minutes I left. After research tires online I decided on Discount Tire as the best deal for the particular tire that I wanted. I made an appointment online to have them installed. It was to take a day or so as they were not in stock. I arrive on the day at appointment time and I was quickly checked in and paid for the tires. One thing that was different than the last time I visited a different Discount Tire location. They did not try to upcharge or add on all kinds of extras. I waited in the waiting room and after @ 15 minutes or so they pulled my truck in. I was getting 2 tires in place of my rear ones. They always put the newest tires up front and they rotated my front tires to the rear and also cheeked the air pressure also. It only took 19 minutes and they were pulling my truck out and handing me my keys. They did an excellent job as I watched through the glass window as they worked. It was definitely great team work as one person handled the front tires and anther the back. Lastly they used a torque wrench to tighten the lugs not just an impact gun like most places do where they would be too tight if you tried to remove the lugs yourself. My tire pressure light came on so I stopped by to get air. The man informed me I had a nail in my tire. I then parked and went inside to see if I could get it fixed or get a new tire (with two kids, I don't take chances on my tires) I came in with my 3 year old and as told the wait was 3 hours just for them to look at my car. He told me I could make an appointment tomorrow after 12. I felt like he didn't care if I came back because when I told him 2pm. He's like " whenever" Next day, I came in and got two new back tires and was told that it'd be done at 3:30pm. I had to wait with my 1&1/2 year old. After seeing another customer upset about her car being brought in at the time they said she'd be done. I started to pay attention to what was happening in the bays. I saw one guy that would keep taking the key holders from a worker and replacing it with another key holder. Am I being skipped?? My car didn't go into the bay until 3:30p after my son started running around and laying on the floor. (You can only keep a toddler entertained for so long) My car finished at 3:42pm. 2 tires in 10minutes. I'm worried that they did a sloppy job trying to get me out of there. I definitely wouldn't go back here. From what I saw happening in the bays, this place may have management issues? Whatever the case, customers are not a priority. read more

I showed up at 4:00 on a Saturday, one hour before closing time. I was traveling through Houston and had a flat tire. Looking at my tire, I could tell that it was beyond repair. My concern was that the damage was to the inside of the tire. The outer tire visible to me looked great. I had just bought my car three months prior and the tires looked great to me. So, I needed Discount Tire to check all of my tires late in the day. The store was very crowded, but Kirk went straight to work making sure my tires were safe. My other three tires had similar damage and needed replacement. I was so grateful for their professionalism and courtesy to a traveler late in the day. I came in to have two tires replaced with tire rotation which resulted in negligence regarding my lug nuts not being tightened. This caused a scare for me in highway traffic when I felt my tires were about to fall off in 75 mph traffic. I had to have some repair work done as result due to some physical damage of driving this way before getting off the road safely. I was without a vehicle for a week. HOWEVER, I chose to give a 4-star rating in spite of all of this because the manager, Michael, did step up to make all of this right by any means necessary including a free tow to the mechanic and two additional tires. He also replaced my back windshield wipers as a courtesy. I am not sure that I would return to this location, but I was impressed with Michael as the manager in his efforts to make it right. Really bad customer service. We brought our veh in on Thursday with a nail on the tire and they told us it had to be replaced. The tire has warranty took about 2 hours for the service. Monday morning the same tire is flat (veh was not driven over weekend) take veh in again and was told the tire was not replaced it was fixed and now have to wait another 2 hours for them to inspect the tire and tell me what they need to do with it. read more

I made an appointment to have my tires rotated, and it took them over an hour just to get my car in. What is the point of having an apt. When I confronted the guy at the desk, he just blew me off saying an appointment does not guarantee a time.
