I took my car to get one of my wheels repaired, it was cracked and bent. It was not fixed correctly at all. My tire is still leaking air very badly. I tried to come in Saturday and it's "not a warranty day" so they said they'd charge me. Very ridiculous, so now I have to take time off of work to bring it back in so they can fix it. read more

I took 4 hours out of my day to have the repair done and within 12 hours my wheel was leaking air again. I paid top dollar for the repair in hopes of not having to deal with it again. Then when I called in to come in on a Saturday, they told me there would be a charge because that's not a day they service warranties. I have come to this business before and have given them the same 1 star rating. It appears this business changes. It's name every six months or so. I spoke to Sandra yesterday and made an appointment to be here today to have a wheel repaired. The guy wanted $150 to repair a wheel and I told him thanks but no thanks. I want to use the restroom and as I was leaving the person I spoke to I believe his name is Sammy said well we can do it today for $135 I agreed. While I was waiting and noticed that the other wheel on the same sign had two bins in it and I asked about having it repaired. He quoted me $150 the same price he wanted to charge me initially for the front wheel. He decided that it appears that there's a cover over the wheel itself which would need to be removed before they could execute the repair. I then went back to the front wheel and looked again and I said to him these wheels are the same if you have to remove the " cover" for the first wheel you have to do the same for the second. His firm on his price of 150 for the second wheel because it had two dents saying that it would require more work. I declined. Please, please look up this company's history and yelp based on address not name and you will find that they have changed your names several times over the past two years. I cannot discourage anyone from using this business strong enough. The quality of their work is not in question. Their business practices are! I brought my wheel in for a minor lip repair and paid $185. The result was not as expected. the repaired area was left visibly uneven and lacked a proper finished look compared to the rest of the wheel. More concerning was the customer service. The manager, Mark, was dismissive and unprofessional when I raised my concerns, and the conversation became unnecessarily confrontational instead of solution oriented. I understand that spot repairs may not be perfect, but I expected a better level of workmanship and a respectful discussion about options to make it right. Based on my experience, I would recommend asking very specific questions about the repair method and finish before agreeing to service. read more

Was looking for a place that specializes in chrome deletion. Looked online at Houston Wheel Repair and received a call back. I spoke to one of the nice ladies in the office and then she put me on the line with who I believe was the owner. He told me could surely do it and that it could even be done on that particular day as it was a quick job. Due to me being in the area, I obliged. Now this particular day, it was raining. Had been all day. I made it to the location at about 5:45 PM. Now, here's where it gets weird. I know absolutely nothing about chrome deletion. I just know that I want the chrome deleted from my car. The owner comes out and assess my car (in the rain) and tells me what he's going to do. Gave me the price (which was pricey from what other businesses quoted me) but he told me about a warranty and how long his product last, etc. I fell for it. Eventually, my car is moved into a bay to get started on (it's raining). The business closes at 8:00 PM. The owner comes inside at about 8:00 and tells me there's a "problem." The problem is, due to the rain (been raining since I got there. Was raining when the job started) the product would not cure, yep, you guessed it, in the rain. In my mind, I'm like, it's been raining since I got here. But ok, "what's your suggestion?" He says he will have the technician wipe it off and I can come back tomorrow. (The pic with the car wet is the wipe off job). Then he says, "but go ahead and pay and tomorrow you can just come in and we'll take care of it as soon as you get here", while looking at the weather on his phone). Due to not wanting to start any trouble, I pay. At this point I'm feeling the reason the job was started was to make sure they solidified the job ($$$) so that I couldn't go anywhere else. SMH. I go back the next day at about 12:45, because my days does not revolve around this business, and was told by one of the workers that my car could not be started on until about 3:00 . After I told him what all took place, his exact words were "you didn't pay did you?" (As if this happens all the time), I told him yes I did. Well because it was looking a HOT mess, I had to wait. My car gets started on, I'm waiting and waiting, "ma'am give me about 30 more minutes" here and there. I was there about 4 hours that day. Finally 3 of the guys come from the bay where my car was at and asked "ma'am, what were we supposed to be doing to your car?" ‍ at this point I feel like I'm being taken advantage of because I'm a woman and because my job was not a real expensive job, so that it could be pushed to the side or mishandled. So, I told them and they told me to come look, now again, Idk every intricate detail of the deletion but I do know that it's supposed to be blacked out and that's what I saw. Even though the detailing, once it was brought to my attention from someone else, was horrid. I text them that day to let them know of my concerns and received a reply days later of the warranty days. I work Monday-Friday. I do not have time to be back and forth to this business when the work should've been done correctly the first time, as I live 45 minutes away, on a good traffic day. First of all, due to the rain on the first day, the work should've never started. On both days that I was there, I over heard people saying not to do business here. So much so that the second day when I pulled up, a cop was there for a customer writing a report. That was my experience. Is the place not good to do business at? I can't say for sure, and won't ever play with anybody's money, which is what happened in my case, but this is what happened to me. No compensation. No apologies. Nothing. Just a botched job. Terrible customer service and communication skills, Manager was EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL, mocking and careless with my issues. I nearly never leave reviews but can't overlook trying to help others avoid this place of business. Called in the morning when they first opened and was promised they had a new or used tire for me, and that they would repair my cracked rim for $100 and it would be done by the end of the day. Once I physically arrived in, they told me my wheel would be repaired by 10AM the next day as I was dropping it off first thing that morning. They also had assured me they had my tire size in stock again and that they would install and balance it. Wheel took more than two full days to be repaired and the tire they promised was there never was so I was stuck with a rim and no tire. Only advice they could give me was to go find a tire shop that had my tire and good luck. Never leave reviews but couldn't skip leaving this business one star! read more

I can't review any work done because I went somewhere else! The experience I had with the price going up from original quote over the phone, from $155 per wheel to $200. Then when I talked to the manager about the difference in price, it went up again to $255 per wheel is why I gave a 1 star rating. I had texted pictures so.... Avoid this place at all costs. I dropped off two BMW wheels for repaint/refinishing and provided a third as a reference. I was quoted $487 total and told it would take 3 business days. What followed was a month-long nightmare filled with lies, poor workmanship, zero accountability, and some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Dropped off: June 20, 2025. June 25: After no updates, I drove 25 minutes to the shop just to learn my wheels weren't even there, they'd been shipped off to be machined, and no one had informed me. June 28: I was told my wheels were "done." I showed up, and they clearly weren't finished, just machined. I was told they'd be ready "early next week." July 8: I was told again the job was done. I showed up and found that one wheel was OK, but the other had a runny, clumpy clear coat that I had to point out myself. They acted like they didn't notice and claimed it would be "an easy fix" in 1-2 days. July 15: I was told by text again that the wheels were ready. I showed up and found that the messed-up wheel had just been stripped, no repaint or clear coat done. It looked worse than before. When I spoke to the owner, he claimed this job should've never been taken on in the first place and blamed me for trusting them with it. July 18: Wheels were "finished." One still had runs in the clear coat, black spots, scratches, and mismatched color. One BMW emblem was painted over and a hubcap was missing. I drove to this shop seven times (25 minutes each way) just to get updates I should've received by phone. Sandra at the front desk was polite but useless, she never followed up once after promising to every time. Jimmy, the original salesperson, repeatedly left me on read, lied about the wheels being finished, and dodged me every time I showed up. Skip also lied about completion status multiple times. The owner finally stepped in and claimed they wouldn't release the wheels without payment, basically holding them hostage after a botched job. The final product, runny paint. Uneven clear coat. Mismatched wheels. Painted-over emblem. Missing hubcap. Completely unusable. I now have to pay another shop to do the job right. Don't trust the 4.3 stars and 2900+ reviews on google. They clearly don't reflect the current quality or ethics of this business. I gave this place a chance despite my doubts, and I regret it. I feel like I donated $500 to a shop that has no interest in customer satisfaction or integrity. Avoid this "business". They were really pleasant on the phone. They seem to run kind of hustle shop with lots of activity going on in the office. At the time of service, they said if it does not work, no problem, just bring it back. Well, I had a warranty issue with their repair. They are only willing to service their warranty on Tuesday and Wednesday. I think like, only offering warranty service at inconvenient times is like not fulfilling the warranty. It almost feels like they know their repair won't work, but want your money any way, with no expectation of making it right. Definitely a Buyer be Ware situation. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've had with any shop -- avoid Houston Wheel Repair at all costs. I spoke to a guy named Skip about getting my wheels polished. He quoted me $25 per wheel with same-day service -- exactly what they advertise. I made the hour-long drive to drop them off on July 2nd, only to be told the real price was $175 per wheel and a 48-hour turnaround. That should've been my first red flag, but I had already made the trip. I left the wheels, expecting them to be ready by Friday, July 4th. I called that day to check -- Skip told me to come by Saturday afternoon. I show up at 5 PM, and my wheels hadn't even been touched. Skip tells me to go ahead and pay because they'll be done "in 15 minutes." Another mistake on my part -- never pay before seeing the work. When I come back, my wheels are now disassembled -- just the bolts removed from my 2-piece racing wheels. That's all they did in over 48 hours. I sat there for nearly two hours, completely ignored, until I finally asked someone what was going on. The guy casually tells me, "Oh, the polishing guy left." At that point, I asked for a refund and to take my wheels back. They refused. I spoke with Skip again, who told me to "call back Monday" for a refund. It's now Monday, and after multiple calls and texts, I kept getting the same runaround: "Call back in 15 minutes," "I'll call you right back," and nothing ever happened. So I showed up to speak to the owner, hoping for some accountability -- he was just as bad. He told me there would be no refund because "they already started polishing," which was a complete lie. Nothing had been done other than removing bolts. They stole $378 from me and wasted my time with nothing but lies and stalling. Avoid this place at all costs. The customer service is terrible--I would give zero stars if that were an option. They are friendly and helpful right up until they take your money, and then everything changes. Antonio, in particular, was by far the rudest and most unprofessional person I dealt with. I came in for an emergency rim repair and truly regret not going somewhere else. When I called for an estimate, Cory quoted me $80-$150 and said they could get me in the same day within an hour. What he failed to mention was the $30 same-day service fee, a 3.85% debit card fee, and excessive taxes. Once I arrived, Antonio told me the total would be $200 flat due to an upcharge for two cracks. At checkout, I was told the total was actually $216 with taxes. The lack of transparency is unacceptable--this place operates like a scam. Antonio was attentive until I got my keys back. When I picked up my car, my tire pressure warning light was on, even though it was not on when I dropped the car off. I tried explaining this to Antonio, but he repeatedly brushed me off, insisting the light would turn off once I drove. I drove around the freeway and the light remained on. When I returned, he continued giving the same dismissive response. I explained that my tire was at 37 PSI and needed to be at 40. He told someone to add air, but clearly it was never done. I was once again told to "just keep driving." Over the next three days, the tire pressure light stayed on and the pressure continued to drop. When I called Monday morning to speak with Antonio, he was rude, defensive, and completely unapologetic. I explained that his coworker never filled my tire and that his lack of integrity made me question whether my rim was even repaired properly. I asked to come back so they could show me the work that was done--especially since I never saw the finished product myself. Antonio responded by telling me not to question their integrity and said I would be charged an additional fee just to remove the wheel, even though I supposedly have a warranty. To make matters worse, he dropped the phone mid-call and started trash-talking in frustration while I was still on the line. The behavior was shocking, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional. If you value customer satisfaction, honesty, and basic respect, do not come here. I would rather pay full price elsewhere than ever use their warranty again. If you're in the area, there are plenty of other wheel repair shops nearby and across the freeway--do yourself a favor and choose one of them. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !! I went to Discount Tires to replace all new tires and was informed that one of my rim was bent/ warped. Told me that I should either get new rims or get it fixed bc it will wear out the new tire unevenly. So I found "Houston Wheel Repair " shop. I spoke to Tracy and I expressed my concerns about my rim. She feels certain they can fix it for me with their 25-30 years of experience with rim repairs. I felt confident to set appointment for Friday at 10:15am. Jimmy was the guy who took my info and what my concerns were.( I told him what Discount Tires told me) He wrote the order and asked if I wanted same day service. I said yes. He wrote $150 + $35(Same day service)asked me to put my initial. I agreed to the price for repair bent/warped and cosmetic of the front surface of the rim. Jimmy said will take 3 to 3 1/2 hours. (I left at 10:30am, should be ready by 1-2pm) I called them at 2:30 to see if it's ready for pick up. Sandra said will call me back. (Never did!!) I know they were pretty busy so waited til 5:30pm and was told the same thing. My husband and I decided to just drive there to see. When we got there they said it was ready. We paid and today Saturday , went back to Discount Tire to have them rebalance it and check to see if the bent was fix. Discount Tire said it's still bent/warped. Nothing done. They even let me take a video for me to show them. So I drove straight back to the shop to have them fix the problem. Sandra told me to talk to Jimmy since he was the person that took my order. Jimmy told one of the mechanic to inspect the rim and came back and said there's a bent on the rim. I asked jimmy, you told me yesterday you guys fixed it and all he said was we will fix the bent. I waited there for several hrs and finally came to me and said u are ready to go. I went to look at the rim and it was all scratched up. I asked Jimmy, aren't u going to fix the scratch marks on the rim. He said you came to fix the bent and we fixed it!! If you want the scratch fixed then you need to pay extra!! I was speechless. I told myself FORGET IT as long as the bent was fixed. ( I didn't want to deal with the rudeness and their dishonesty anymore). I left their shop by 4:30pm and drove back to Discount Tire to have them check it and balance for me AGAIN. When the tech told me that the rim was still bent and showed it to me.... I just broke down and cried. I couldn't believe I was deceived by their poor workmanship and lack of integrity behind their quality work!! I paid $200+7.26=$207.26 ( I had to pay extra for using credit card. I wasted my money and time for not having the issue resolved and the rim worst condition then we started. RED ALERT! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! FYI HOUSTON WHEEL REPAIR AND MY WHEEL DOCTOR ARE THE SAME THING. SAME LOCATION! I booked an appointment last week to have my wheel repaired at Houston Wheel Repair. Started a new job and had some travel, so had to switch up the appointment date and time a couple times, but the business was happy to do it. I had to call because the online and text system was a mess to deal with. It does not allow you to re-schedule an appointment. It says you can cancel but would not let me do that either. I called and asked for 11:30am today August 1 so I could come in after my meeting. They gave me 11:15am. Okay no worries. I made it work being 5 minutes late due to traffic and why I asked for 11:30am so I would have the time to get there. This business is located at one of the craziest traffic spots in Houston, right off 59 and Bellaire. Trying to turn into the business was crazy. The parking lot was jammed packed full of cars and people. Most of the entrances were blocked by cars. I had to turn onto the street next to it and turn around to get in safely. I found somewhere to park and went in. I stood at the door for about 3 mins while the office staff chatted with each other and showed videos to each other on their phone. I was finally acknowledged and told them I had an appointment. I met with Skip and he took me outside to look at the car. He asked me to pull my car around to another spot so I could stay in my car during the service. I am an Attorney and needed to do some calls while they worked. Their office is very small and not confidential. As I was moving my car, one of their employees was moving a car and was not very patient and had to avoid him. I finally got my car to the new location after some maneuvering through the surrounding traffic. When Skip came over he said that it would be $150 to repair the wheel's curb rash. That it would be a $25 same day fee. I asked what did he mean by that. He said that to do it today there's a fee. I told him I had an appointment I set a week ago. You knew I was coming so why is there a rush fee for something you knew a week ahead of time. He said he understood but he discounted the fee to $25 from $50. I told him this was not disclosed when I booked, re-scheduled, or on their website. I also told him that the information about which payments they took like no AMEX, Venmo, Zelle, etc. is also not listed. He said wow and I said you know this looks deceptive. I told him I would go ahead and get the work done. He went inside to take the order. Mind you, they had all my info when I booked the appointment. He had to hand write all the information they already had on file. As I am sitting there waiting, my gut said check yelp before you let them get started. I pulled the reviews. Seeing fellow Elites having months of issues with them put a knot in my stomach. I saw issues about craftsmanship, delayed work, etc. and already dealt with that with Dr. Wheel in Houston. I look over and see things flying off the roof around these cars. They had guys on top doing work and stuff was coming down all around. It would be very nice that once you price something over the phone, when I get there to the office, less than twenty-four hours later, please try not to change the price for when I get there, you give me a totally different price than what you told me....and the issue was the same as in the photos I sent you. I ended up leaving and going somewhere else where they did three of my wheels for their price of two....AND they are cheaper on painting the wheels! He- the person who service me- was real nice....of course they will be so that they can get your business. The office staff here was polite and quoted me $65-$135, which matched what was listed on their website. I had my car towed in based on that. Later that evening (around 7:30 pm), they suddenly told me the repair would be $150 because there were two dents and it was "bad." When I asked for pictures, they refused. After pushing back, the owner agreed to honor the original high-end quote of $135--but only after I insisted. Just a week later, my tire wasn't holding air. I brought it back only to be told that there's another dent. Which seems impossible based on how little I drive and the time between getting it fixed and it starting to leak air. This time it's $75. They did waive the same-day service fee, but at this point, I've lost trust. If you value transparency and honest communication, take your car somewhere else. It would have been cheaper to take it to the dealership and I would have been confident that it was fixed and safe for me to drive. read more
