I want to say that my experience today at Discount Tire was exceptional! I went to the Kingman, AZ location for the first time. Bought my tires online, set up the appointment for next day. Tires were in stock. I arrived early and was greated by Rudy. He introduced himself to me and I back. I told him why I was there and he was very eager to assist. He also told me about the insurance on the tires I had declined. He remembered to inform me I still have 30 days to purchase. While I was waiting, in the lobby, I noticed the store start to get busy. Each employee went out of their way to greet the next person with the same courtesy I was given. I watched one of the employee's, Joseph, taking care of his customer. As I listened to him, he was informative, knowledgeable and let his customer know all aspects of the tires he was purchasing. The staff were clean cut. The store was very presentable and had all the usual informative information with posters on the walls. The store was nice and cool and they offered customers free bottle water. Overall, the service provided was exceptional! Great job! read more

We accidentally hit a piece of scrap metal on the edge of the road on highway 93, a little south and east of Kingman that blew out a tire. We had tools but the wheel had been mounted with way too much torque and we could not remove the tire to mount the spare. Towing service towed us to Discount Tire in Kingman, AZ. They were able to get to us rather quickly. They loosened the lug nuts with an air ratchet and then mounted the spare. The shredded tire was dismounted from the wheel and then the other three tires were checked for proper lug nut torque, with several again way too tight. All tires were checked for proper air pressure and all these services were amazingly done for no charge and we were back on the road with not too much time lost. Kudos... read more

I want to start this off by saying this was the worse service I've had at a Discount Tires! I went in with my mom on Saturday to have a simple service done which was to replace a valve stem..... boy were we wrong. We ended buying 3 brand new tires and putting the spare on (which was brand new, purchased the week before). The kids and I mean kids, were so hot headed and didn't want to do anything. They had 3 kids trying to take the tires off. A guy from the inside had to tell them to jack up the middle of the motorhome up some so they would slide off easier. It's not rocket science! So the kids got one side done and started to work on the other side. Here there's another kid working on putting the new tires on and not paying attention, he puts an old flat tire on the inner axle and puts the new one on the outside. He was trying to argue saying it wasn't an old one but clearly you could see it was flat and older looking. I got a guy from the inside of the shop to come outside and look. They then took the tires back off but at that point the new tires groove had gotten caught up on the fender. This kid is pulling and fighting with the tire to come off and ends up cracking the fender! He then looks up at the window where we were watching what just happened, and had that oh shit look on his face. We let Diego, a guy working the counter in the front part of the shop, know and he did nothing! No apology, no offer to get it fixed.... nothing! So now I have to find a new fender and get it painted to match the rest of the body, all because the kid was rushing at the job. Never will I go back to this location. You never plan for a nail that could really change your trip plans. Pulled in on a Saturday evening at 5pm after getting low pressure warning. Passing thru Kingman on our way to a weekend getaway. Fortunate to have found a very competent and responsive staff that, although very busy, took care of our problem right away at no charge. Didn't expect fast service AND free service but got both. Well run shop. Will consider first when getting new tires. read more

Discount tire is very overpriced in my opinion. They will match or beat the other tire stores in town, but I order tires off Amazon for cheaper than discount can get them since I'm an Amazon prime member. Then I take them to Butler tire and get them mounted and balanced for $10 each. I beat discounts out the door price by $120! Amazon ships tires for free, you can get name brands at great prices! So if you have two days to wait for your tires order them from Amazon, don't go to a local tire store. read more

I was traveling from Phoenix to Las Vegas when right before Wickenburg my tire pressure light came on. I stopped at a Shell & 2 Circle K's - spent a lot of quarters on non working air pressure machines. Took it slow, my son texted me Discount's address in Kingman. Pulled in there after a long ride. Went to the front desk and explained my situation. Was told just pull around to the last bay. Pulled in. Mechanic stepped out...filled and checked all tires. Took me less than 10 minutes of my time. I went to Discount Tire because my husband liked their prices, which are very good. However I would strongly recommend that you remove your center caps before they touch your tires. Mine got cracked even though my car is older 98, I was not happy but Kevin came to the rescue and found replacements, he's a great manager and I'd give him 5 stars. read more

Got a set of good years less then 1 year ago.First problem was a small piece of wood going through the side wall.I wasn't even 4 wheeling but they kept asking because they didn't want to honor the warranty.They replaced it eventually but wanted to charge me for another warranty.I didn't buy the warranty because after 3 hours of sitting there I wasn't about to give them a dime.Now I have a slow leak in a tire...drove by all week to see if I could just get it checked out but they don't have the time.No parking in the parking lot and 50 customers wandering around like zombies wondering when they might get their vehicle back.So now I decided I'll take the tire off myself and see if I drop it off if I'll ever see it again....update to come Ok so I went back today and the guy told me it would only be a 45 minute wait.So I stuck around.He came back 45 minutes later and said he couldn't fix it and they don't have my tire in stock.So I went for a different tire but had to pay 26$ to keep the warranty going.It then took an additional 45 minutes before they were done.While sitting there I overheard one of the employees telling a customer that they are short handed because they can't find people in town that can pass the background or drug test.No big suprise being kingman.So I'm lightening up on their review. read more

I have been buying tires at Discount for the last 15 years, but the last two visits here in Kingman, AZ have been less than satisfying. I brought my car in a couple months with a nail in the tire, they refused to fix the tire and said it was because the tire did not have enough tread on it. They talked me into buying two new tires. A few weeks later I had a screw in one of tires that I had not bought at their store, they said they could not repair the tire because it had been plugged before, but not in the same hole as where the screw was. They tried to get me to buy a new tire. I went to Superior Tire and they were glad to fix the tire and it is holding just fine, they also gave me a price on new tires when I am ready to replace the tires, and the price is as good as Discount Tire. Discount tires by Phoenix treated me much better, not sure if I will return to this store. read more

We have been Discount Tire customers for years and I have never had a bad experience with any of the locations until this one in Kingman, AZ. Terrible customer service. We were traveling from Utah to Phoenix when we got a flat. We had to wait an hour for them to tell us the tire couldn't be repaired and we needed new ones. We were waiting with four kids and a baby. They did give us a mileage discount after I explained that the tires that we bought from Discount Tire didn't get the mileage they were supposed to get out of them. But it felt like they knew we were in a bind and taking advantage of it to make the sale. Total time for them to get the new tires on was two hours!! That's not acceptable when you've got a family traveling long distances. I do not recommend this place. If this happens to us again we will travel on the donut tire to the next Discount Tire. read more

My wife and I buy tires for your car a while back, but unfortunately I bought my tires for my car someplace else, yesterday I got a screw in my tire so I took at the discount tires and they fixed it for free even though I did not buy my tires from them, I thought that was very nice so when I need any kind of service that they provide I will bring my car to them. The people that work there very nice and very helpful and what's not so nice as they have a real nice waiting room if you need to wait a little bit. Came to this location after a blow out. Manager said the process to get two tires replaced would take an hour. Although my car didn't move from its spot since I showed up for an hour 30 ago. Also as I waited customers before me were complaining about how they set up an appointment to get all four tires replaced and they still haven't done anything the next day. Then not only that but I watched the employees cause body damage to another customers car as they were lifting it up. Not a good discount location in my opinion. read more
