Due to past vad experience with this company i wasn't going to dare use them but a friend of mine told me to give them a try. I'm so grateful i did, Mr. Kyle answered my call all my questions, fixed me up with a appointment and i was in and out in less than a hour. The other tire store told me all my tires was bad, Mr. Kyle was honest and showed me that three was in brand new shape and only one was bad. He was absolutely a gentleman and a great salesman from start to finish! All the staff there was fantastic and i will definitely use them again. We were traveling to Michigan with the left front tire on our truck started to fail. Fortunately, Discount Tire on that trailer anyway was about a mile of the road. I went in to ask about the availability of the size we needed and told them we were on the road and had a long way to go yet. They got right on it and we were heading out within 35 minutes. Great place for deals on tires. Been going here since they opened. No need to look anywhere else except for possible a better price. I did actually find a better price on a set of tires. Showed them the quote and they beat it. Not by much but they did. I usually make an appointment to get my tires rotated and they always get me in pretty close to my appointment time. I have felt safe sending my wife to discount tire alone for years. That changed today. When a customer says NO to an up sale it should only need to happen once. After declining a new spare tire in the parking lot before you even checked me in or knew I have road hazard on all 5 of my tires I decided I didn't want my truck in your bay. If I can't decline a service in the parking lot , how will you treat me in the bay? I thought the manager should know about my interaction. He was more concerned with defending the employees than listening to my concerns. So here I am. I bought an air compressor and hoped for the best. read more

My husband and I stopped at this location while on a road trip up to Missouri for my brother-in-law's wedding. We saw that one of our tires was slowing losing pressure, so stopped to make sure we didn't get a blowout. Everyone at this location was courteous, polite, and helpful. They quickly tested all of our tires and repaired the one that did have a nail in it. We were back on the road within 1 hour. My father called me on the phone today, severely bothered because he requested that the shop fill his tires to a certain PSI. Not thinking it was an insane request he told the gentleman helping him he was aware of the factory standard (38), but also knew what his tires max psi (80) was and wanted far less than (50) that for a smoother drive. Shortly after, while sitting in his vehicle waiting for the work he overheard employees mocking his request and mimicking him in a rude manner. He got upset and the manager came out to speak to him, while I was on speaker phone attempting to calm him down I heard the manager say "that's just how these guys are....they are good guys...they are just joking around". No ownership of poor customer service and brushed off an upset customer by telling him it was nothing more then guys being guys the way they usually are and they just aren't used to COVID bringing customers into their bays. So basically...it's okay to mock and belittle your paying customers because that's the way it's always been. To be clear, a little fun at work is okay, but when it's at the cost of a customer that's unacceptable. I told my father to calm down and not use harsh language specifically because it's also unacceptable to do the same to hard working people. He tried his best to calm himself down and even told the manager "my daughter told me not to curse". If you'd like to be treated disrespectfully, unprofessionally, and brushed off by management go here, or find another tire company in town where they value their customers and treat them with respect. read more

FEMALE BUYER BEWARE!! Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at this discount tires. I came in to get two new tires, and have my back tires moved to the front. They "inspected" my tires and said they would be able to do this. Once they had my car fully suspended with no tires on, is when they called me into the back. They said " we will not put these back tires on your front, it is not safe and we cannot do this". They then proceeded to tell me that buying the other two tires was my only option. I tried to barter with them, but I found my self in a hard place. My car was suspended in the air with no tires, and the people there refusing to put my tires back on. I had to buy into their credit card program, and get all four tires. I expressed my frustration at the situation to which I did not receive much sympathy. My younger sister also saw them making "money signs" with their hand while I was not looking at them. There were also two female customers before me buying tires. They were also told they needed to buy the full set of tires instead of just two. I wish I could go back in time, and do something. I really feel as though I was strong handed into this because I am a young female. Terrible business, and I hope their managers can sleep at night. read more

These guys are awesome! I'm a student at SFA and usually go to a discount tire in central Texas, but I've had a couple tire problems & had to go to Lufkin Discount twice this month- once to fix up a nail in the tire and once to replace my back tires. The guys were all super positive and nice! Professional, but had a good time. They were very understanding and accommodating of my situation and took care of me. The check-in guy even remembered my name after an hour and said bye to me as I left. They all made my day better! Definitely recommending this discount tire to my family back home. Stopped in here with a flat that I changed on the road. Dropped the tire off and they found out it was a valve stem issue not a hole. They repaired at no charge. When they saw me putting the tire back on in the parking lot they told me they can put it on for me. Would not take no for an answer. My son, a college student, went there to get a flat fixed. They told him he needed a new tire. I didn't see it, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But, when they tried to sell him first two tires, then three tires I lost all respect for this location. Luckily he didn't have the money, and refused to buy them. I have been a Discount Tire customer for many years but this was my first time visiting this location and I will never again be returning. The reason for my visit was to have a new set of wheels installed that I had paid over $700 for and waited two weeks to have shipped to me. I had discount tire install them for me knowing they would get job done professionally. Upon inspection the next day I noticed that on my rear rim there was a small chip in the paint where they had used a tool to install the tires which can be clearly seen since the rims are painted black. First let me say im a healthcare worker and my mother is a 68 who still works in education eventhough she has retired and is off due to covid 19 and i work daily putting my life on the line and my families safety everyday.On April 24th i took my mom to purchase new tires for her vehicle and was digusted with the treatment we got from the manager. We had an appointment and was only 13 minutes late which 8 minutes of we sat in parking lot waiting thinking that someone would come to vehicle due to covid 19 concerns. Then was told that it would only take 45 minutes after we got in and tires were purchased. After waiting for almost 1 hour and 30 minutes and my mom noticing people coming in and getting service that drove up after us the manager began to tell us that cause we were late for our appointment we had to wait to be serviced after others appointments that was scheduled after us and that because people have been coming in to get tires cause they received a stimulus check they have been very busy and he has limited staff working due to being furloughed off that we had to wait almost 3 hours to get tires put on my mom car. He began yelling at me when i was trying to explain that we were not that late and i had called before appointment time to tell them we might be a little late and then tried to call while waiting in parking lot to see if we were suppose to wait in our vehicle to be serviced. I felt that the comments he made about people receiving a stimulus check was racist and unnecessary because the money we spent did not come from stimulus money but from my paycheck working in healthcare everyday. He tried to offer the tires for free but i refused to communicate with him anymore and did not want his pitty because he knew i was going to give a bad review on the service received that day. Pointless to make an appointment if u still going to wait 3 hours for service. I understand that he may be shorthanded but in my experience when your crew is behind you go and help out instead of standing on the phone and arguing with customers telling them they are wrong for questioning why they have been waiting so long to be serviced. read more
