I hate even having to give one star just to leave a review for Mavis Tire, but this company located in Lufkin Texas is by far the absolute worst tire store around and the so called management are even worse. The rudeness is at an all time high and the quality for service is at an all time low!!! It is very sad when their own employees have to leave a FAKE review just to try and improve their ratings and business but there are enough people with quality photos of their poor service floating around Facebook and people I know from personal experiences dealing with their so called service that I will never set foot in that establishment! When Gateway sold out to this company a lot of people immediately started going elsewhere and When Corey Riley left a ton more stopped going as well! I've always said if you don't like your job when dealing with people and it kills you to be friendly then quit because you will never grow a company with rude staff and poor quality service! When I drive by Mavis tire in Lufkin the parking lot is bare compared to when it was Gateway you struggled to find a parking spot and that speaks volumes about how you run a business! Manipulative employees trying to manipulate people into lying about their experience to earn business is poor management skills and always leads to epic failure! A tire company should practice safety first and foremost to avoid dangerous situations for their customers on the highway and should always have a friendly attitude towards all their PAYING customers! Hopefully the doors to this terrible company will close soon, but in the meantime spread the word and go see Corey Riley at Cook tire because he and the staff at cook tire will take care of you and your vehicle and you won't worry if your tire will fall off because the lug nuts weren't tightened properly! I drove past Mavis Saturday 01/28/2023 around 10:00 AM and there was only 3 cars there vs when it was Gateway and was completely full that alone should be proof enough to avoid that place at all costs! I have been here many times in the past. Have bought 3 sets of tires. Had bad experience when they were first opened in Lufkin Texas. Went back and was helped two weeks ago. Then today I had tires rebalanced and one was defective. Tried explaining this two weeks ago to the manager but he wouldn't stand behind the tire. Shelby stood behind it today. Arrived as first time customer, they took me in, asked what I needed. "I only want a tire rotation and oil change. Exactly what a got. No sales pitch for anything else. The employees from salesman to mechanic were the most respectful and helpful, I have ever seen. I am a female and appreciate the complete gentleman's attitude toward me. Thanks Mavis Lufkin. My daughter had to have a lot of work done on her farm truck's brakes. The guys at Mavis were very thorough, polite, and professional in their work. They went above and beyond with the customer service as my daughter and her two dogs waited for repairs. read more

After going to almost every tire shop we finally went to mavis and they got my locked lugnuts off in less than 5 minutes!!! They were all very sweet and even did it for free. I did give them a burger for their service! Thank you guys so much!!! read more
