Came out to my car, and realized my tires was going flat again. Someone had told me discount tires fix that part of the tire that touches the road for minor things like nails for free. I went in at 4:30, they told me an hour and charged me nothing. Not only were they courteous and attentive, they got me out of there in an hour and I was able to make it to my job interview. They didn't hassle me about selling new tires, all they did was tell me how long my tires had left and that I want to get them re-checked before next winter. As someone who doesn't know much about cars, I appreciated being informed and easy-to-understand terms, reality of my tires, and a timeline for when I needed to fix it. Great prices on tires but continually a 2 hour or more wait to get them rotated. I've tried 3 times this week but still a 2 hour wait. No matter the time of the day it takes forever. Might be switching to NTB or Firestone because they get me in and out 30-45 minutes. Before I could leave I had to show them they rotated them incorrectly. Never coming here again. Rather spend more money for better service. read more

My first experience with Discount Tire was to repair of a flat last year. Even though I had bought my tires elswhere, their Neighbor policy, they fixed it for free. No plug like other tire stores, they do it right with and Internal patch. You rarely see that these days. Decided then to move my business to Discount. My daughters car was the first move of my several cars to Discount Tire, and the service and courtesy she received was was greatly appreciated. This week I needed tires on my vehicle. First visit was extremely courteous service, they had to order the tires, and set an appointment for the next day. I arrived and was greeted by a different saleperson. On writing up the order, he made a salespitch for the "certificate" for tire repair. The day before I had been under the impression the tires had road hazard. His Pitch was the road hazard was prorated. The certificate was good "...until the tires are bald. If anything happens, you run them on a flat and ruin the tire, damage the tire in any way,we will replace it. It was good until the tire was bald....". I asked several times and he assured me it was good until the tire was bald. Today while filing the rebate for Michelin tires, I actually read the "certificate" which is good until the tire is 3/32 or three (3) years. While I can understand a coverage until the tire was past a servicable tread, I was surprised by the time limit. The sale pitch never revealed there was a three (3) year limit. That would have influenced me not to purchase if I had known. Seem to be VERY good people, BUT beware of sales tactics regarding the certificate. May have been a misinformed sales person, or intentional misleading me, I will never know. I will be back for the courteous service provided, but will be very cautious in the future and ask for in writing. They were honest in the promise to have me out in 30 minutes, I could almost set my watch by it. Thought I had finally found a truly honest tire store, but apparently the commission monster even lives at Discount Tire. Still recommend them. They are better than the other guys. Just be cautious in their promises regarding the certificates. read more

My first experience with Discount Tire in Gallatin and I am not impressed. Came in with a flat. Was told wait time was 90 minutes so I decided to leave the tire. Before I left I was advised I needed 2 new front tires because outer tread was worn. Neither of these were the flat one. With less than 18k on vehicle I was surprised to hear that and decided not to replace the tires until I'd had time to think about it. Then came the call telling me the the flat could not be repaired. We discuss tire options & I tell them I'll be there in 15 minutes. "Austin" tells me he'll put me on the list to shorten my wait time but that didn't happen. When I arrive I'm told 60-90 minutes but 2 hours later I'm still waiting. All total it took 2&1/2 hours. There were other things said which made me feel not everyone was 100% honest in their representations. This makes me wonder....could my tire have been repaired? Did I really need new tires? Our experience has been that the employees have top notch customer service skills. Today, I got a new set of tires from them. At every step, they walked me through what was going on, how much it would cost, and why it needed to be done (without talking down to me). When I ran into a problem with my tire pressure sensors after I'd left, they were extremely responsive and apologetic. They did what needed to be done to fix it, and explained what had happened. When I left, I think at least 3 employees personally checked that I was satisfied before I headed out. This was while they were really busy. I understand little things can happen, no one is perfect all the time. It was their response to the mistake that made the difference! I had the misfortune of going to Discount Tire on this past Friday because I was driving from Georgia and hit a pothole on the interstate that tore up my tire. I was going to Portland to pick up my mother to continue to Louisville Kentucky for a funeral. I purchased the one tire but I have never experienced so much aggressive and harassment from sales people. I explain the situation and they continued to try to pressure me into buying the whole set a tires. It was so bad that when I walked outside, another female customer approached me and told me that she couldn't believe the scare tactics and aggressive sales pitch that continued, even though on numerous occasions I had told them no. I had to been by my local Nissan dealer before leaving Atlanta regarding my tires and he had told me I was fine to make the trip and could actually wait one more oil change before purchasing new tires but they continue to tell I wouldn't be safe to drive to Kentucky and back to Atlanta with the tires that were on my car now, that I needed to buy a new set. Not only did I drive to Louisville Kentucky with no other problems but I also drove back to Atlanta Georgia with no problems. I explained to them over and over that I did not want to spend that amount of money at this time I would have handle when I get back in town with my dealer or with the discount tire in my location. But again the aggressive sales tactics continued, even to the point of offering me to open up a credit account to get tires put on my car. Now I understand why the AAA technician Who put the spare on my tire told me to try Walmart first, and use discount tire as a second option. I should have followed his advice but I wanted to get tire replaced as soon as possible. I would not recommend this location to anyone because I feel they will push you into purchasing something that you don't need because they must be working on commission. Good customer service but awful, aggressive and harassment by the sales team, especially if you're a woman. This experience was so bad, I don't know if I will ever be a patron of Discount Tires again, especially not this location. I warned my mother, sister and nephews who live in Portland Tennessee and cousins who live in Gallatin and Hendersonville Tennessee to avoid this location. read more

These folks were absolutely fantastic! I stopped by on my way to Indianapolis when I realized I had ran over a nail. I stopped in maybe 10 minutes before they opened and there was a line outside the door. at first I thought it was weird but now I understand why. Everyone in there was so nice and fast working. Very friendly and you could tell they were happy to be there and helping you out! They had my car patched up in 20 minutes regardless of the line that was out the door. They also checked my other tire pressures without me asking them too and fixed a couple that were overinflated. Really great place. Don't bother to schedule an appointment. They don't pay attention to it unless they are really busy. I had an appointment for 8 am so I could get to work. I arrived at 7:45 am and was the first person through the door when they opened. I watched them service 5 cars (walk-ins except for one I believe) before mine was ever pulled into the garage and they completed a 6th one before mine was done. That one had 4 tires replaced. Mine was only 2. Today was day one with the new tires and there is vibration as if they were not balanced. We'll see what happens after a few days. I don't really want to have to go back and spend more time out of my schedule. read more

Yesterday when I went to leave work, I noticed my right, rear tire was flat on my truck. I aired it up at the office but noticed that the hole in the tire was big enough that you could actually "hear" the air leaving the tire. I jumped on the interstate hoping I could make it to Discount Tire (located in Madison, TN) in time for them to repair my tire, I b ought the tires there and knew they would fix it for free. (a service that comes free when you buy your tires from them) As luck would have it, I got caught behind a wreck on the interstate which had traffic at a crawl. My stress level was through the roof! This was just a little after 5:00 p.m. and my ride to get there would normally be about 25 minutes. By the time I made it to Discount Tire, it was 5:55 p.m., they close at 6:00. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the workers who asked how he could help me. I told him that I knew it was closing time, but I had a tire in need of repair. He replied that it was no problem. He took my keys after getting my information, pulled my truck into a bay, and my tire was fixed. It only took about 20 minutes. During the time it took to do the repairs, I noticed there were still other cars being worked on, the guys in the repair area were hustling about, joking with each other, and apparently enjoying their jobs. I kept thinking that they must treat their employees well for them to have this kind of attitude.
