This is our third Discount Tire Store in two days to no fault of their own. We had two tires put on our car the day prior while traveling through Topeka, KS. As it turns out, they were not the right tires for our car and we felt unsafe driving the remaining trip with them. Through the Liberty, MO store, we found out the Overland Park store carried the tires we needed so we backtracked to the Overland Park store and they were able to get us in immediately. I feel terrible I cannot remember the gentleman's name who assisted us, but the name on our receipt says Bryant. He was very nice, efficient and so professional! Bryant was able to change out the two tires the Topeka store replaced yesterday with the two tires that matched our front tires. The Overland team went out of their way to help us, said they would handle everything and sent us on our way. What customer service!! Discount Tire will always have our business! When this Discount Tire location popped up in Overland Park a couple years ago, I thought nothing of it......until recently. When discussing car maintenance and tire repair needs with a co-worker, he strongly recommended that I check out Discount Tire. I figured I would give it a shot based on his rave reviews. Long story, short = I will never go anywhere else for tire service in the future. The entire team at the OP Discount Tire is fabulous. The moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a friendly and helpful smile. Customer service was top-notch throughout the entire experience. I needed to buy 2 new tires for my vehicle and rotate the other 2 tires. The 2 tires I needed weren't in stock, but the staff was great about searching through their database to find the best price available and then scheduling a time that was convenient for me to return for the service. I paid on the spot for a seamless process when I returned in a few days after the tires came in. When I returned to have the work done on my tires, I was greeted with the same great customer service. While the work is being completed, you can either wait in the lobby (chairs, coffee, and water available), or you can give them your cell phone number to text you upon completion of the work. I was blown away by the speed and professionalism of the work itself. These folks ONLY do tires, so it's easy to get in and out in an efficient manner. Before relocating from Texas to Kansas, I purchased 4 new tires from Discount Tire in Frisco TX. The Service Team in TX is incredible. Felt really great about my investment and what all was included, They give you friendly reminders about your Tire care and when air needs to be check & tires rotated. They will do it all for free as part of the purchase. Came to Kansas and have since gotten a nail in one of my new tires. Went to Discount Tire at 115th/Metcalf (got there first thing in the morning) the tire was taken care of in minimal time and for free. Since the nail was in the middle of the tire, it was a quick patch. This team is incredible. Talk about polite, professional, expeditious, and well put together. So impressive. I had to go out of my way a bit because this location had my tires in stock. Everything was super easy to schedule. When I got there 15 minutes before my appointment, someone was already waiting for me to check my car! They were super fast. They said it would be 45 minutes. But by the time I got down the road to Starbucks and picked up my order I got a text that my car was already done! Amazing! Unfortunately, my first trip to Discount tire will also be my last. I purchased a set of tires and was given a guaranteed appointment. I brought my car in at the appointed time and was told it would take one hour. When the hour was up, my car had not been moved. I inquired about it and was told that it was about to be started, even though it was still in the parking lot. I had another appointment in an hour, so I could not wait. I asked for and received a refund. I try not to expect too much, but I do expect a business to do as they said they would. Promising something and than failing to deliver on that promise is a poor way to earn customers. read more

Probably my best tire experience to this date. I have gotten new tires on my wife's car and my truck. Sitting in the waiting area I witnessed someone come in with a spare because of a broken wheel (pot hole). They just said we got you, listen to this person asked a few questions and just handled it. Wow! I am blown away by how good the service was at my tire installation appointment. It helped that I ordered the tires from their online site a few days before and made a morning appointment, but the staff had the tires ready to go, were communicative, and downright expedient at getting my car in and out. They even took the time to point out a bend in one of my rims that needed my attention and reset my tire pressure sensor settings in the car. Unfortunately I have gone from a long term loyal customer to a one star. We replaced tires on Saturday , drove the car and had no brakes when we attempted to drive it 3 hours later. Discount takes no responsibility for this "coincidence". Their only response was that They were glad that the mechanic they referred me to could take care of me. I just got done getting 4 Barum Bravuris 5HM all-season tires put on, at the Overland Park store at 11640 Metcalf Avenue. I already called and told them the tires that i wanted and sceduled an appointment earlier this morning. They got me right in once I arrived and it only took 35 minutes to mount, balance, replace TPMS seals, and put the tires back on my vehicle. I'm very particular about keeping my factory black aluminum wheels looking like new, and was nervous about how they'd look. Well, not a mark or anything on my wheels, I'm super happy at how they treated my vehicle. The entire staff is very professional, polite, courteous, thorough, fast, and have a phenomenal attention to every detail. I'm a Discount Tire customer for life now, and couldn't be happier about the whole tire buying experience. Shit! I arrived and was told an hour. it have been over 90 minutes and my vehicle has not started service yet. When I asked and he should me where I was on the schedule, everyone else' wait time was 40-50 minutes, even the walk in's were being serviced faster. All I got was 'I'm sorry", Ever as I write this, other cars are being service and mine is still in the lot. Bought 2 new tires & had them installed only now I hear a scraping noise every time I back out in front wheel well. Took it back in, first they tell me they installed wrong size tire. Fine, they corrected & I left. Still hear a scraping noise when I back out so waited a few weeks & went back in only for them to tell me it probably needs alignment which they don't do. They install tires but don't do alignments? Also brand new tires bought 3 months ago showing wear where it's scraping. Now have to pay $ to go somewhere else to get done. Service guy was super nice, sales at front was nice but basically said sorry we can't help you. Never had scraping noise or any issues before I brought my car in here. read more
