I just hit town and my car started a loud grinding noise when I pressed the brake pedal. Made an on-line appt thru the Goodyear website (easy) for the next day and had my car in there at 9 AM. They were professional and kind. Called me while I was still at breakfast and gave me the details and cost. My car was ready by 2:30. It was just a needed maintenance. I was one of those unfortunate people who slid off the highway and into a ditch after our recent 12" snowfall. My car turned 180 degrees (the wrong direction to be on the highway) and ran into something that damaged it. It was late at night and I had hit a patch of slushy highway. Roadside Assistance said they'd take hours to get to me and the Highway Patrol had trouble finding me. Fortunately one Good Samaritan finally stopped to see if I was OK, or I'd have been there alone and trapped in my car by the snow I was buried in for hours. He happened to have a shovel (!) and dug my car out enough that I could get back on the road in the RIGHT direction, and "limp" home in it. Since I didn't know how much damage there was, I wasn't sure I should be driving it, and most car repair shops aren't open on weekends and are all also booked to the hilt because of the big storm, I had little hope of getting the car checked out or repaired so that I could go to work on Monday. But the great people at this Goodyear, where I had also purchased tires last Fall, said they'd fit me in today if I could leave the car. Several hours later, Service Advisor Jasmine called to let me know all the damage was cosmetic! And they used zip ties to replace the duct tape I'd stuck my very broken front bumper together with to keep it from dragging on the street! I was, and still am shaken up from the late night ordeal, but I was also very relieved with the news. Jasmine was wonderful about reassuring me and reminding me that the BEST news was that I was OK! The good folks at my local Goodyear store on Stevenson Street in Lenexa where very helpful and made the temporary repairs necessary to get me safely back on the road. I want to give a huge, huge shout out to Kristie and Jasmine at the Goodyear in Lenexa, off K-10 and Woodland! I was in the parking lot of the Price Chopper and my car wouldn't start. I called Goodyear and Kristie ran over in the rain and started my car. It was late in the afternoon the day before Thanksgiving and they were overbooked but Jasmine and Kristie got me in and replaced my battery!! Who does that anymore?? Got a piece of metal lodged in my tire during a rainstorm and drove it over to the nearest shop which happened to be this Goodyear - not only did they patch up the tire in about twenty minutes, but they did it at zero costs?! We've used this location for several years. Recently, however, there seem to be problems with just scheduling an appointment--it's very difficult to receive service (and for them to earn revenues) when customers are unable to book appointments. I scheduled an appointment online. I was called by the Stevenson location to reschedule because of personnel issues. I rescheduled. Then I received a telephone call a couple of days prior to the rescheduled appointment to reschedule the rescheduled appointment, which I did. The person at the counter was aware of the appointment and asked when I need the vehicle--it's an oil change, not cranial surgery! Earlier this year, Goodyear was hacked and they were out of service for a bit. I understand that; however, today I received a phone call from an unknown number that turned out to be a Goodyear in Canton, Ohio. When I verified that telephone number and called, I was told "We're changing our phone systems and it was probably the Lenexa store calling you", I was incredulous. I've tried three times to telephone the location where my vehicle is and only get a strange hum, not a telephone ringing and certainly no-one answering an alleged business phone. I was probably being called to pick up my vehicle because they need to reschedule. Trust me....it's not going to happen. I can tolerate nearly anything except incompetence. Now the good part: when we were able to successfully schedule appointments in previous years and have them kept by Goodyear, we were pleased with the service and cost. read more

Made online appointment and received a confirmation for date and time requested. I arrive a few minutes prior. 2 people working counter but only 1 servicing customers. I wait around 5 minutes no biggie, I'm early. Get to counter and I'm told they can squeeze me in at 1. It's 9am. Very annoyed to have wasted my time with this place. Suggestion for customers: confirm appointment verbally. Suggestion for business: get your front line people computer skills. All the mouse clicking and 1 finger data entry was frustrating to watch. I ordered specialty tires from Goodyear online and this was the only shop that could install them. They were super helpful and speedy getting the tires in place. A few months later I hit a pothole and caused an impact bubble. I returned to this same shop on Woodland and they were able to get the tire shipped and installed even quicker the second time around. I'd recommend anyone looking for any tire related work to visit this shop. And they also perform oil changes. read more

(3/25/22)The other day, my brakes completely went out randomly as I was getting close to home. I had my car towed to a shop where they told me my rear brake pads fell apart because they "looked so old and worn as if they'd never been changed." I was shocked because I had gotten new tires and requested new brakes(they told me my brakes were still "good") only 2 months prior. To which my mechanic replied that my car's rear brakes are more difficult than the front to access, so he guessed they had been skipped over. Seems more likely than my brakes going from "good" to trash in 1,000 miles. Basically, because of corners cut during my brake inspection at this establishment, I had a false security in the safety of my car, and that negligence could have gotten me seriously injured. Who knows what could have happened had my brakes failed on the highway! Not to mention the $700-$1000 I'll be paying to replace all the components of my brakes that were ruined. (Update 3/28/22) I met with the store manager and felt that my negative experience was taken very seriously with accountability held for. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but was pleasantly surprised, and I want to raise my review. read more

We have been a long-time customer. Gotten all of our cars tires here. Had an issue recently with a tire on my car that has a slow leak. I took it to them and they fixed it with no charge. And they had noticed one of my reverse lights out, which I had also and had gotten a replacement bulb, but hadn't changed it yet, so they offered to change it, I had them do that, and they didn't charge me for that either! On more than a dozen cases this Goodyear has been nothing short of excellent. I trust what they recommend and everything is always cost effective and on time. My buddy just had a nail in his tire and drove it by there unannounced and they fixed it for free on the spot. My home is about a mile and a half away from the store and when my Mother in Law's battery was dead one of them got into the car and drove to my house to jump start the battery. read more

I am dissatisfied with the service I have been getting at the Goodyear in Lenexa, KS. I have owned dozens of vehicles over the years and consequently made many purchases and trips to tire stores. My experience at the Lenexa Goodyear tire has been very poor in comparison to any other tire store I can remember. I am not accustomed to making appointments for tire service yet this seems to be recommended here. Coming with or without a reservation seems to have little impact on the amount of time taken to receive service. Tire rotation and balance takes between 60 - 90 minutes which is incredible to me. I am use to this same service taking 20 minutes or less. I am also use to getting brand new tires mounted and balanced in under an hour. Tonight I voiced my concern to the man at the counter and received a defensive response saying that they try to do things right. It is my experienced backed opinion that part of doing it right is swift and friendly service. Quick service is good for both the customer and business. I will never purchase tires from this location and will likely avoid Goodyear stores altogether in the future. read more

I had a flat tire and needed it fixed in a hurry before the vacation weekend and although they were fully booked, they were still able to recognize that I needed this tire changed and managed to fit me in. Went in a few weeks ago after running over a screw on my way to work. I needed to stop somewhere before the tire went flat and this was the most convenient place. I really wished I hadn't stopped here. Since it was an unscheduled stop, I had to leave the car for the day, which wasn't a big deal and mostly expected. Upon picking up the car that afternoon, the TPMS warning light was for the repaired tire. I was told it would turn off after driving for approximately 30 minutes. Over the course of about a week, the TPMS warning light never turned off. I wasn't confident we had driven long enough for the sensor to reset until that much time had elapsed. At that point, I figured something was wrong with the sensor so I took it to the dealership since Goodyear gave me no indication that something could have been wrong with the sensor. After some diagnosis and inspecting the sensor and tire, the dealership determined that the sensor had received physical damage during the recent tire repair (it was cracked in half). They also told me that whoever repaired the tire had ruined the bead on the tire and it could not be put back on the car safely. They were shocked the tire held air and hadn't blown for the week that we had driven it. To make things worse, since a new tire would have a significantly different tread depth from the remaining 3 tires, we had to buy 4 new tires. So, because of this location's incompetence, what should have been a simple tire repair ended up costing us nearly $1000 in new tires and diagnosis/repair of the damaged TPMS sensor. When I returned to the location to see what they would do to make it right, I was met with defensiveness, a refusal to understand my situation, and refusal to repay me for the tires I had to buy. Goodyear corporate customer service and property damage departments were just as bad and refused to make it right. They continually passed me along to a different department and wouldn't answer any of my questions or give me a rational reason for not reimbursing me. I'm surprised to see all these tragic ratings for this location to be honest. I went in the guy was very kind, fun to talk to and very helpful. He helped recommend what I needed while even offering me the discounts they provided online before I could even bring it up that I had them printed out. I didn't need any huge fixes but As a girl specially, I feel that sometimes people in this industry try to pull your leg but I felt like I left with exactly what I wanted and was very satisfied with my experience. I was accused of lying about my tire light being on because my "air pressure was fine", as well as the year of my car! I am not stupid, I know when my tire light comes on, as well as my car's year. Convenient, quality, trustworthy service center in the neighborhood. Have used several times for new tires and general repairs. Always good advice and only sell you only what you need. Recently, I took my daughters car in to ensure brakes safe. I was expecting to spend big $$ but Goodyear suggested only a minor repair for very low cost. Made an appointment to have the tires balanced and rotated on my 2014 Ford F250 Super Duty. One problem with these model trucks is that you can not use the regular lifts to remove the tires. This is due to the shield/skid plate protecting the fuel tank. The staff used the alignment rack and completed the task, including checking alignment, in less than 45 minutes. The staff competed the job with accuracy and professionalism. They torqued the whells to factory specs and had a second staff member check the torque. Wish they would clean the inside of the rims since they had them off. read more

I scheduled an appointment for new tires two days before Christmas and they were able to complete the job plus an alignment in less than two hours. I gave only 1 star because I had too. This goodyear is terrible. They try and run the bill up on you. After getting ripped off I called Goodyear national. Since my original problem wasn't fixed after $650.00 they sent me to Goodyear on K-7 & Johnson Drive in Shawnee, Kansas. As bad as the one at Woodland & K-10 is, the one on Johnson Dr and K-7 is much better. I will never darken the Goodyear store on Stevenson. Terrible mechanics and I think very dishonest. They even told me they couldn't fine the part, it took me 2 minutes to find the $18.00 part at Oreilly. The Goodyear on Johnson Dr. also found the part immediately and replaced it for no charge. Since I had already paid $650,00, it was the least they could do. The attitude on Johnson Dr. is much better and I think the mechanics are much better. read more

I've had several experiences with this location. First bad one was when I brought in Toyota Tacoma for oil change. They called me and told me my power steering system needed to be repaired. They wanted $500 to install new hydraulic fluid lines. I asked why and they said its leaking. I asked to look at it while it was on the lift and I noticed there was a 6 inch rubber hose with a drop of steering fluid on it. Notr, the steering fluid reservoir was full. I wiped it off and said I'll watch to see it leaks on my garage floor. I never had a drop on my garage floor for a year later and I drove it for 12,000 miles with no issue. Next issue, I brought up another car for oil change and tire rotation. I checked the tires, wheels and prior to service. I went to pick up car and before going into pay i decided to walk around the car. That's when I noticed a chrome lug was damaged. The chrome was gone. I noticed it immediately but they didn't point it out. Upon pointing it out they tried saying it came in that way. NO IT DID NOT! Not only did they not tell me about damaging it but turned it into an adversarial conversation. All over a lug nut! Ultimately they agreed to replace it because they did not notate any damage prior to changing the tires. Can you believe it? Then they said the lug nuts are cheap and the chrome caps fall off easily. Well, I have 70,000 miles on the car and all the rest are fine. I suppose it had nothing to do with their high impact air gun ripping off the chrome from the nut. Poor customer service. The next day they called stating the new lug came in. I stopped by for the replacement, guess what? They got the wrong lug nut and again insulted my car saying my wheel should use the lug they bought because it's better than the cheap ones on my car. WTF. I've been there probably 5 times and this is the last time. I don't believe they have integrity or honesty. They tried charging $500 for something that didn't need fixing and they broke something they tried not taking responsibility for. Gotta love Yelp, consumers can finally unite. They didn't even apologize. Oh and I just remembered, they called during the oil and tire rotation asking if I wanted to change the fuel filter. I said how much, $110. I said how much was the filter $20. So they wanted $90 for labor for a fuel filter. I said pass. Avoid read more
