Took my car in for a tire replacement because I had a flat tire and had to use my spare tire last night. Now they said they could not put one of them lug nuts in and the manager Kayden said that it was my fault that the crossed threaded lug nut was crossed threaded. He denied to pay for the expenses to replace the stripped lug and lug nuts. read more

I ordered 4 tires 3 weeks ago and was never notified when they arrived I had to keep calling to see if they have came in when they did I dropped my truck off the next morning and I never got a call back that it was finished and once I picked my truck up the steering wheel was off balance and crooked absolutely terrible experience with them will never be coming back! read more

Found a great deal on Discount Tire website. Ordered tires. Was contacted by the store on Memorial in Port Arthur and told the tires were unavailable. Talked to Eddie at the store in Port Arthur and he helped me with my order of the discontinued tires. I went to the store the next day and he was a man of his word and made things right. UNBELIEVABLE. Because of Eddie at the store in Port Arthur, I will always buy my tires at Discount Tire. An honorable mention goes out to Kolter who offered a very good solution to my issue, but I asked to speak with Eddie, who was fantastic. Brought car in today for tire rotation, was told could not rotate due too wear. Car was brought in a late September for rotation, was told it wasn't necessary, "Tires were in good condition".My wife rotates before any road trip. I inspected tires, there is plenty of life left. Tires only have 20k miles on a 50k tire. Car only has 42k miles and this is the second set. Manager seemed to want to make a sale. He Never looked in system on tire info or how many miles were on it and spent less than a minute looking at my car. All business will no longer be at discount , we found a more helpful honest place down the road. read more

today I had an awful experience at discount tire...I felt very uncomfortable with the way this guy approached me he pulled my car out and handed me my keys very rudely he was very impatient when I was trying to get my kid out his chair the name I read on his shirt is Hayden. Almost great. After countless tires since their opening I can say: normally well run, great value, hardworking and on top of things. However, tire pressures run from 3 to 8 lbs to high for car specs(from multiple gauges I use) , valve stems are left without caps to keep dirt out, and many times, the loose your custom caps. Regardless your preference or drive type, they force the new tires on the rear, not allowing you to choose, not always preferred, they quote some Michelin tests, you can't find to verify the methodology. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. They take advantage of women who are alone and don't know anything about tires / cars. My boyfriend has been fed up with them scamming me. One time they told me they could not "legally" let me leave because my tire tread was too low. Forced me to buy all new tires over $400. They are despicable. Do not go here!!! read more

Prices are good but..they need more honesty and better customer service. I had a set of tires put on while I had one bad TPMS. They lost one lug and replaced it with a different size outer lug which my manufacturer lug wrench did not fit. Of course did not tell me but when I went to check the lugs the next day preparing for a trip I found out. Manager said he couldn't find one and asked me to pick one up from the dealership the next day.....but he would reimburse me...of course. Later found out they removed all 3 of my good TPMS. You better check all their work or just find someplace that matches their prices. Dishonest, sloppy work and poor customer service. read more

After a long wait they told me they will not fix my flat tire and neither can their machine fill air because it's really flat to the ground. Insisted I buy a new tire after I refused ,the rep tried to sell me a used one for $20 and I said no and just left the Port Arthur location. The only reason why I'm giving this place such a low rating is due to the insane wait time for a tire rotation (4 hours). Coming from Augusta Georgia I was thoroughly impressed with their speed and customer service. This location idk, maybe they are that swamped . Makes me reconsider my where my next set of tires come from. read more

A guy name CHRIS forgot to add me to the list, I took one tire to get it changed due to it was coming apart and didn't even tell me if it was covered or if they were going to look at finally after a 30 min wait after watching him just roam around I asked him what was going to happen. He finally asked for my information and 2 hr later got the tire changed I had to ask for the tire cause they just left on the wall like low priority. This location thumbs down read more

The last two trips were have made to get the leaks repaired took two trips. The first trip in each time they put in air without repairing the leaks. I discovered on our Hyundai that the lugs were stripped when new tires were purchased. It uses a special key and I think they forced a socket onto them. Trip to Hyundai now to get new lugs. I tell you I get so tired of these businesses in Port authur that have such terrible customer service. I lived in Houston for 17 years and I had wonderful customer service with the discount tires that I used there in the past. Late this afternoon our friend who is 70 years old had a blowout on Highway 69 between Beaumont and port author by the prison area which is 75 mph zone. I went out to inspect the car and the tire was shredded and there was no way for me to be able to put the donut on the car because it was in the grass and also it was so dangerous on the freeway we didn't feel comfortable even being on the side of the road because of the traffic so we had it towed to discount tire on Memorial Boulevard. We call before we got there we got there at 5:08 PM they didn't even touch the car until 5:55 PM which is five minutes before they closed. We went and stood at the business because we were afraid that they were going to close the business and keep the car when we specifically told them we had to have the car that day even if we had to put the donut on it and take it home because our friend had to have her vehicle to go home. We specifically told the salesman upfront that we wanted the rim inspected for damage because she had driven for quite some distance on the rim and we were concerned that there was damage to the rim so we did not want any damage to possibly incur to a new tire that we might buy and put on it. I stood outside and watch the mechanic take the tire off the rim. The tire was completely shredded and in pieces so I watched the mechanic as he walked upstairs got a new tire and never once inspected the rim whatsoever before he attempted to put the new tire on the rim before I stopped him. I went and grabbed another salesman and got very upset with him and told him the circumstances that we specifically said we wanted that rim inspected for damage which he gave me some ridiculous reason for why are they inspecting how the inspector which never happened because I witnessed exactly what the mechanic did which was nothing at all so I demanded that the salesman inspect the room before that tire was put back on because I did not want my friend who is 70 years old to have another blowout on the freeway and possibly get Killed or strained it again. Why do people think that the general public are so ignorant or stupid sometimes when we know exactly what we see which is laziness and incompetence. Your people just need to do your work and do your job and help people get back on the road as safely and efficiently as possible. I will gladly drive back to Houston again before I step foot in that discount tire again. read more

Failed to tighten lug nuts on 3 of 4 tires on my dads truck. He found out after multiple lugs snapped off and he noticed a bad wobble. This discount tire shop refused to repair the issue& it cost him $220 to repair. If you notice, most discount tire shops are well rated, looks like there is a trend of poor performance with this shop= indicates poor management. read more

If you don't mind waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes to get two tires (lawn mower at that) mounted on rims this is the place to go!

2 new tires took 10:30 to 1pm. Did not air back tires to match front tires. Left 1 nut off had to go back to install wrong one. They lost it. Had to go to dealership for a new one. read more

I just moved to the area for school and on my first day I had a flat tire; I apparently ran over a nail and it was completely flat. My spare is also not in any driving condition. I called Discount Tires at 5:30 pm to inquire about the cost of a new tire and if I would be able to pick one up the next day as I saw they closed at 6:00 pm, and Sergio said to just come on in and they would take care of me. I had no intent to come in because I saw it was close to the end of their business day, but he was more than happy to assist me. He even took my number down so he could call me in the case that I had not come yet and they were closing up. He also suggested I come in the next day to make sure everything was okay after I put the tire on. I appreciated how considerate and accommodating he was. Got new tires and rims installed at this location. No deals were offered even though the amount of the purchase was considerable. Sales guy kept lying about how everything they had on stock he had installed before on his personal car... Anyways other than that everything was top notch only lacking considerably at the closing act. Like mentioned shiny new rims and tires and they turn the car over to the buyer with everything dirty. A quick spray of water and some tire polish should be a must. Might go back but probably not unless they change it up some. read more

I went to have a tire repaired and I was told the it would be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour; well that wait time turn out to be a three hours!!! Jeff needs to be fired (he refused to provide his last name). After they finished my car they evidently disconnected a wire regarding the tire traction so was explained my concerns to him and he became very biligerant and told me that their was no way that anyone of his guys could have made that mistake in his shop! I became upset, my voice was raised, and when I finished stated my disapproval, he told me it was his turn to yell at me and he began yelling like he had lost his damn mind!!! Well I will be calling discount tire corporate office today!!! I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone; they have a very prejudice supervisor managing this branch!!! Awesome tire shop and they are equipped to work on RV tires! Quick service and very friendly, the young man working on the tires was very efficient and kept his sense of humor at the fact the rv tires needed three different sockets to get them off! Will be returning to this location for more tires. read more

I cannot express how amazed I am at the service I receive here every time I have tire trouble. I always purchase the the insurance they offer when I buy a tire and they take care of everything! Most recently I went in with a flat and had all my tools and flat tire in my trunk. I expected them to just put my spare back in my trunk, but no! They went the extra mile and put everything up where it belongs! Love love love this location and the guys they have working there.
