I support DPR 100%. This program has changed so much in the last 9 months. Clients go on multiple fun outings every week, clients are housed around Dallas in some of the most popular areas to live. Clients get to go to several outside meetings. Food is provided. The groups are facilitated by different people from therapists and recovery coaches, a lot of them are in recovery as well. Staff cares about clients and upper management is open to suggestions and available to speak to clients without an appointment face to face every day starting at noon. I started out going through this rehab 2 1/2 years ago, have been sober since and has been my greatest accomplishment in my life. I work with DPR now helping with house management, maintenance and crisis intervention when clients are struggling. This place has grown and just keeps getting better and better. This place really cares about you. I had nowhere to go and was deep in my addiction I could not get back on my feet. I came to discovery point at my lowest, and I am happy to say I am now sober for over six months. This place is different, the housing is free in your surrounded by house managers and therapist who genuinely care about your well-being. they also feed you for free while you're there. Discovery point has given me the tools to be successful in life. D.P.R was a really good treatment facility. Sam, which was the very first person I got to meet as an R.C was so awesome and truly a VERY helpful person with my recovery. He stood by my side all along and helped me understand myself better and what I needed to save myself. They really do care for the people that come through DPR. They use the 12 step program AA offers to help individuals grow. Staff such as Sam Rainey set the standards of accountability high, not only for the clients but he holds himself to the same standard. Unfortunately, the employees running the show are on a power trip. Meticulously trading 5 star reviews for general wellness practices, such as supplies to work out on a regular basis, transportation to get to appointments, or being allowed a longer stay within their housing. I limited my conversations to only the RCs and therapists, who actually help you, for this very reason.
