OK so I was leary about getting cable one internet recently. Lots of bad reviews. Would they…read moredeliver anywhere near 50mb/s? Would the ping be acceptable for gaming? We had 5mb/s centurylink internet for $50/month, and I generally liked it. I had specifically requested they turn "fastpath" on, which reduces ping times as well as reducing reliability. With that on, I felt like we had a very responsive internet connection, and I was worried cable internet was going to ruin the 'delicate' balance I had set up. We bought an sb6180 off of ebay for $30 (I would highly recommend this model). It was a bit of a pain to setup because of how I wanted it set up, but eventually got the problems fixed with some help from support. They weren't amazing, but they got the job done. However, once I got the service installed, I was thrilled to find out that they were able to reliably EXCEED 50mb/s WHILE having lower pings times to the same server vs centurylink w/ fastpath on. And over the past several months, we have had no issues with the service, consistently providing over 50mb/s and very low latency. For the same $/month as centurylink, we now get over 10x the bandwidth, slightly lower ping times (ping will be a lot lower coming from a normal connection), and a more stable connection. If you're looking for the best internet service in the Burley and nearby areas, then that would be cable one's internet. Their support may not be 5*, but as long as the service works, then I don't care.

I left sparklight last yr due to prices continually increasing without an explanation. When I…read moredecided I had had enough they of course said they could lower my bill and why didn't I ask. I had been asking the last few months before I canceled to no avail. I decided two months ago to give them another try in hopes that would not happen again. It did!! Only took them two months to charge 10 more than what I agreed to pay. Called this morning to ask why the increase. No answer as to why just a mistake. A MISTAKE MY BUTT! Ur company knows exactly what ur doing and I have to wonder how many people just pay this and not even look or question it. I had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman named Rodriguez and he was very helpful and apologized for the mistake. What a man. Thank u. Ur company sucks though and should be ashamed when they price increase people for no reason at all. Shame on u Sparklight. We will see how tje next couple of months go with billing. Just know I watch and I hope and pray I'm not the only one that does. ESPECIALLY in today's economy every dollar counts.

Long, long, long (over 50 minutes) wait time for tech support, slow response to our service request, techs and phone operators that seem as if they are being annoyed by a customer call and on hold music that would drive Mother Teresa insane! They promised that we were going to have excellent service because of the direct line of sight we have to their tower. We live in town not on a remote hillside! We purchased the service and for two whole weeks the service was great. After that we began to have intermittent outages. We called customer service and were pit through the "diagnostics". It was determined that "something" was wrong so they sent out a tech. The tech said that the dish was pointed to the correct tower but for some reason we weren't getting the full signal strength. He didn't know why and didn't do anything to fix the issue. He simply left. At this very moment I am again on hold waiting for tech support to answer. I have been here for 48 minutes so far and I'm still #3 in line! Don't buy the hype. This service is not worth the money or time unless it is your absolute last resort for internet access. Even then I might consider moving before having to deal with this company again. I don't know how they arrive at 98% positive feedback (I'd like t0 see the actual surveys) but i can't imagine I'm the only dissatisfied customer they have.

No meaningful delays or outages. I'm one month new to BridgeMaxx, but got an early Christmas present this morning. ResNet was bought out by these folks who's basic service is 5x the data speed of my old 'basic' plan. I called them a few days ago about upping my speed to their basic plan at a $20/month increase in cost (again 5x faster data). I just concluded a phone call that they initiated gifting me the higher speed and keeping my cost the same! Now, I'm 73, retired and have had 2 strokes in the past 2 years. Saying that, I'm on a fixed income and $20 per month is pocket change to the 'working' folks, but to me that $20 is like manna from heaven. BridgeMaxx certainly knows how to make this old man's heart sing. Cudos to you all!

In the past was known as Speed Connect which I named "NO CONNECT", now BridgeMaxx/RiseBroadBand is filling that spot being they took down the South Hills transmitter and left everybody stranded, they're incompetent and unreliable, overpriced service! Don't go with these guys unless you want to be frustrated and extremely annoyed, my personal opinion is they deserve to be out of business, but being a big company fleecing their customers, all you can do is just put in a bad review and cancel their service -which is what I did!
