We had 5mb/s centurylink internet for $50/month, and I generally liked it. I had specifically requested they turn "fastpath" on, which reduces ping times as well as reducing reliability. With that on, I felt like we had a very responsive internet connection, and I was worried cable internet was going to ruin the 'delicate' balance I had set up. We bought an sb6180 off of ebay for $30 (I would highly recommend this model). It was a bit of a pain to setup because of how I wanted it set up, but eventually got the problems fixed with some help from support. They weren't amazing, but they got the job done. However, once I got the service installed, I was thrilled to find out that they were able to reliably EXCEED 50mb/s WHILE having lower pings times to the same server vs centurylink w/ fastpath on. And over the past several months, we have had no issues with the service, consistently providing over 50mb/s and very low latency. For the same $/month as centurylink, we now get over 10x the bandwidth, slightly lower ping times (ping will be a lot lower coming from a normal connection), and a more stable connection. If you're looking for the best internet service in the Burley and nearby areas, then that would be cable one's internet. Their support may not be 5*, but as long as the service works, then I don't care.

Sadly all 3 times has been a weekend or after hours. No one returns a phone call or email. So when internet is down we have no way on knowing is is us or community outage. When I called them to order I told them I had to confirm with my husband what plan if he wanted to change could I call them back? I called back changed the plan, they never made the change got my first bill I was a bit surprised to say the least. I cannot wait for my year to be up, I will be changing I am almost positive. The fact remains that I bought a "brand new" iPhone on or around October 4, 2024 at the Verizon store at Blue Lakes & Pole Line Road in Twin Falls, Idaho. Their rude and incompetent clerk Tyler represented that the iPhone 14 was "brand new." When we used the phone, the caller ID (as seen by the person we were calling) came up as the name of a woman in Fredericksburg, Virginia who I then called myself. It just so happens, she is a Verizon customer who had turned in a used iPhone 14 "in very good condition" to a Verizon store in Fredericksburg, Virginia two weeks earlier! I don't have the technical expertise to figure out what Verizon is up to but I believe it's fraudulent. A good class action lawyer should thoroughly investigate these buffoons. I seriously doubt Verizon shareholders are informed of the Company's practices. UPDATE: Ultimately, I ended up filing a complaint with the Idaho State Attorney General's office. They investigated it and Verizon eventually offered me a new phone. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

They promised that we were going to have excellent service because of the direct line of sight we have to their tower. We live in town not on a remote hillside! We purchased the service and for two whole weeks the service was great. After that we began to have intermittent outages. We called customer service and were pit through the "diagnostics". It was determined that "something" was wrong so they sent out a tech. The tech said that the dish was pointed to the correct tower but for some reason we weren't getting the full signal strength. He didn't know why and didn't do anything to fix the issue. He simply left. At this very moment I am again on hold waiting for tech support to answer. I have been here for 48 minutes so far and I'm still #3 in line! Don't buy the hype. This service is not worth the money or time unless it is your absolute last resort for internet access. Even then I might consider moving before having to deal with this company again. I don't know how they arrive at 98% positive feedback (I'd like t0 see the actual surveys) but i can't imagine I'm the only dissatisfied customer they have.

ResNet was bought out by these folks who's basic service is 5x the data speed of my old 'basic' plan. I called them a few days ago about upping my speed to their basic plan at a $20/month increase in cost (again 5x faster data). I just concluded a phone call that they initiated gifting me the higher speed and keeping my cost the same! Now, I'm 73, retired and have had 2 strokes in the past 2 years. Saying that, I'm on a fixed income and $20 per month is pocket change to the 'working' folks, but to me that $20 is like manna from heaven. Never one late payment, or anything else!! When I moved I tried to shut off the service. They talked me into suspending it instead of quitting. I told them I wasn't sure when I would be moving in and they told me to give them a call when I wanted it turned on. They turned my service back on without me even knowing and because I have automatic payments they charged me for one of their most expensive plans for two or three months before I even realized it. I never used one piece of their equipment or watched one second of their programming!! When I complained they refused to refund any of my money and couldn't have been worse to work with. After almost a decade of being a perfect customer this is what I get?! I never write a bad review and I can't say enough bad right now. I will NEVER recommend DISH and I will never be a customer of theirs again!!
