I had a terrible experience with Adam (tech) who was sent to my house by my home warranty company. Adam stated he would not be able to help me with the stoppage that was occurring in my laundry room, washer drain. He spoke to my home warranty, who then denied the claim as well because of something to do with my main line; which I was not having issues with. Once Adam told me he couldn't help me (multiple times), he stated he could "courtesy" run a snake down the washer drain but told me if something failed, I would be paying hundreds to thousands of dollars, out of my own pocket. Adam also told me how my area of service was way out of his area, like I was being an inconvenience to him and his day. Adam also stated he had his own plumbing business and stated he charged way more that what I am expected to pay with Dispatch Home Services. After Adam left, I contacted my home warranty company and discussed the situation with them once again. Update*** I called Landmark once again to have the so called "frozen pipe" fixed and advised them that I wanted to vet the company they were going to send. Landmark gave me a list of vendors in which I did my research on and found a a reputable company... NOT DISPATCH HOME SERVICES! Once the other company came to the house they told me that home warranty WOULD cover the pipe repair but would not cover the removing of the old damaged pipe, they charged me 20$ to remove and install the new pipe. We had a slow leak under our house that we didn't notice until the water company knocked on our door. Dispatch was assigned by our home warranty program. They sent a plumber out the next day, he showed up in an unmarked car in shorts and T-shirt.. the house is pier and beam, so he looked in the crawl space (didn't move from the opening) with his flashlight came up and told me that we needed to turn the water off for a few days so things can dry before he can do any work. He asked me about the 60$ fee, I told him I already paid over the phone. He then went outside to "turn the water off". A couple minutes later he opened my door and told me my home warranty company was going to call me and then he left! Water still on! So he basically did nothing useful! He told my home warranty company that he couldn't repair the pipe because it's wet and he could potentially be electrocuted under my home while doing the repairs! He said I needed to call a cleanup service to get everything cleaned up before repairs could be done! What kind of plumber can't fix a leaking pipe! He never asked me to turn the power off... or even offered any options! Just had a friend go under the house and fix the leak... took 15 minutes and cost 20$ In parts. I called my warranty company and filed a complaint against Dispatch, hopefully I won't have to deal with these candy ass plumbers again! You have been warned! read more

I typically don't pay too much attention to negative reviews on Yelp, as I believe people are more vocal about negative experiences than positive ones. When my home warranty company scheduled a very easy service call with Dispatch Home Services, I figured that this would be easy and straight forward. Like most folks on here, I wish I would have taken the advice of previous reviewers. Not only was my service confirmed with an email follow-up, but I called the afternoon before and the morning of, to confirm that I was indeed on their schedule. I was confident that my basic plumbing issue was going to be resolved. They told me "you are good to go, you are confirmed and we will be there". I became concerned the day of the scheduled service, when I had not heard anything from Dispatch Home Services by 4:00 p.m. When I called to inquire about the status of the service visit, I was told, "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry...it appears we didn't write you on the schedule today. My local Houston service employee is very far away (2 hrs) and won't be able to get to you today". Of course I explained how disappointed I was, since I had taken the day off of work to be home for this service. They didn't even offer a simple apology. They weren't bothered at all to rectify the situation or explain their mistake. When I asked, "how should we move forward with this?", the response from Dispatch Home Services was, "I don't know, but there is nothing we can do to help you at this time". Don't be like me. Don't assume that the reviews on here are just a bunch of nonsense and individuals that complain. They aren't. Dispatch Home Services is extremely unprofessional and they will waste your valuable time. They will only cause you frustration and like me, you will be saying to yourself, "I should have listened to the Yelp reviews". Don't be foolish to think they will service your request effectively or at all. Don't be foolish to think this won't happen to you. Worst company in the entire history of every company on the planet Earth since pre-Biblical times. Contracted through a ripoff home warranty company, as that is their M.O. Water leak discovered under my slab last week. They finally called Friday and said they'd be out Monday. I asked, since Monday is Labor Day, are you sure? Said yes so cancelled plans and waited. No call, no show, no answer. Ripoff home warranty company was able to get ahold of them though, and they said they were closed. Would be here maybe tomorrow. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. Water is shutoff at meter to minimize foundation damage from water running 24/7 under the slab. They do not care. Getting drunk on bargain 30 packs of canned beer and grilling Ol' Roy brand hot dogs means more than customer service. We have not had water since last week. We are living like animals. Even a call would have been appreciated. Made a scheduling mistake? Fine. We would have gone away for the weekend. Instead we sit and wait for these imbeciles that apparently can't figure out the intricacies of a calendar. read more

Unfortunately, my warranty company forced me to work with this horrid company. Nearly a month later, I FINALLY got a technician out. The technician did a visual inspection of my WALL...did not apply any pressure to pipes...did not turn on any water..did not do a single diagnostics of my plumbing at all whatsoever! After not getting a call, I called the office several times to find out what the hold up was because the technician left my home after only being here for 10 minutes claiming he had to get approval from my warranty company to use a camera to perform a diagnosis. I didn't understand that because that should have been the reason he was there to begin with...but I said ok. Come to find out, what he did was called my warranty company and said that a 5 inch long, less than a centimeter wide crack, in my shower's tile grout, caused my closet carpet to be wet, caused the wood to warp, and is the cause of the top of my foundation being wet under both my tub and shower and mold has started to grow. Literally, the top of my foundation under my shower and tub is soaking wet!!! I had specifically told him that these cracks are new and had occurred AFTER i put in my claim. I've only been in my home for 3 months. These cracks are a symptom of my problem! Had a diagnostic actually been performed, that would be clear. So now, what I am looking at is the SAME plumbing issue, a closed claim that I cannot reopen with my warranty company, and now my home has structural damage due to a leak somewhere in my walls that an incompetent "technician" took $45 to not actually perform any diagnostics. Today I noticed that now my brick, outside my home, is bulging in the shower area...im sure its NOT due to a small crack in a shower that I have not used in weeks! I was told I would receive a refund but I am yet to see that hit my account. I am floored with how this 'company' is still in business and totally dismayed at how careless these people are with other people's homes. Shame on ALL of you! read more

I would give no stars if possible. We were referred to this company from our home warranty company. Waited a week for them to come fix a leak under the sink. Plumber came, left and the sink was still leaking and he left a mess in the bathroom from his repairs. We called him and he said to call the office to reschedule. It was 6 more days before he returned. He said it was fixed. I told him I wanted to check it before he left but he walked out the door. I checked and the sink was still leaking and he hadn't cleaned up after himself. I've called the office and no one ever calls me back when they say they will. Today their answer, 3 days the second attempt to repair was, "sorry but it's not covered under your home warranty and we're done". read more

I was referred to this business by my Home Warranty and I called them on Tuesday morning to schedule an appointment for Wednesday afternoon between 4-6 pm. At 5 pm I called them to make sure they were still coming and a dispatcher told me, very unapologetically, that the other dispatcher had simply forgotten to schedule my appointment on the plumber's log and guy had already done his routes in my area and he was not going to come back. She just said that they were going to see IF they could fit me in on Friday, but that was not for sure. I am very disappointed that even after I informed the dispatcher named Sky Twilighten, who was supposed to schedule my appointment, that I really needed the repairs done in my guest bathroom because I was having guests from abroad over the weekend, she could care less. Her only job was to make customer appointments, and she "forgot" to schedule mine, yet she told me it had been scheduled. She did not however have any problem taking my money over the phone!! I am now worried that because I pre-paid, they will not refund me my money if I call a different plumbing company...I don't think I will be using their services again. read more

This company is terrible. I scheduled a home warranty preventative maintainence call thru this company, had confirmed etc. I took the afternoon off work to be here so this work could be done and when I called to inquire where I was on the schedule they said I was NOT on the schedule and then had trouble even finding my service number. I told them they absolutely needed to get someone to my house because I had taken the time off work already. They said they would call me back. Then I called my home warranty company to complain and asked them to intercede for me with their provider. They had no luck either apparently because they called me back to reschedule for another day. I mentioned to my home warranty company that they needed to eliminate this provider from their list because they were not reliable. These people are terrible. Click on over to another, more reputable plumbing company if you want good service and fair prices. Give them a call if you want to have your time wasted and be ripped off. Here's our experience: They came out as a contractor for American Home Shield. At the time of service, the service guy was very nice and said everything would be covered by our warranty. He said he would be back first thing in the morning to replace our garbage disposal. He never showed. We called several times, but no answer. The next day we were told he had to go out of town unexpectedly when we called the dispatch again, but he would be there the next day. He would call to arrange a time. He never called. He never showed. We called them the following Monday after having to go all weekend without a kitchen sink and were told it would now be $275 for the installation. That would have been nice to know at the time service. So, $325 total for these people to miss appointments, change their story and demonstrate beyond a doubt that they are not concerned with honest practices or customer service. read more

Dispatch Plumbing Co. misdiagnosed the cause of the sewer stoppage, failed to ultimately resolve the problem, and had the chutzpah to charge me for additional costs for work they failed to perform in the first place. Landmark Home Warranty, my home warranty company, referred Dispatch Home Services, Inc. (also known as Dispatch Plumbing Co.) to resolve a clogged sewer drain. My downstairs shower stall and toilets were overflowing. On November 30, 2015, I spoke with "Kim", an employee with Dispatch Home Services. I requested that a plumber come to my home with a scope, because I had this issue only a year before. Kim said they have an excellent scope technician on hand, but he is not dispatched unless the first attempt to clear the blockage is unsuccessful. An appointment was scheduled for the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for December 1, the following day. The company does not offer specific appointment times, nor narrow time windows. The company does give an hour notice before dispatching a technician. Jake, the plumber, who was dispatched to our home, came at 1:00 P.M. the following day, and called an hour before arriving. Jake determined there was a blockage at or near the powder room toilet at the south side of the house. Jake had some initial reservations whether it would clear, because he only had a 75 ft snake. Jake ran the snake, and it appeared have cleared the blockage. Jake believe the blockage to be the result of toilet paper. There was some discussion about tree roots. He didn't believe tree roots were an issue, because there was no water discoloration or mud. Several hours later, we ran the washing machine, and the downstairs shower stall and toilets were overflowing again. The business was closed, and does not offer emergency services. I had to call the following day. On December 2, I contacted the company, and eventually spoke with Sky Twilighten, the owner of the Dispatch Home Services. I asked the company to make it right by bringing in a scoping technician (like I had asked for and Kim said would happen if there were issues), and clear-up the drain. Ms. Twilighten initially speculated that there may a tree root blocking the pipe. I mentioned that Jake did not believe this was the issue because there was no mud or water discoloration. I expressed concern that the pipe had not been completely snaked because Jake's snake line was too short. Ms. Twilighten then said that 75 ft was industry standard, and my home had a two-way clean-out valve, this wouldn't have been an issue. Out of curiosity, I asked how much a two-way cleanout valve would have cost. Ms. Twilighten's response was very interesting. She said something to the effect, "I will have to let Jake call you back. I am not a plumber. I mean I have a plumber's license, but I know more about running a business than plumbing." According to the Better Business Bureau, Dispatch Home Services had their accreditation REVOKED, and has a D rating. Ms. Twilighten was adamant that any subsequent service calls would be at my expense, because the initial clog had been cleared. I told her that if she was going to maintain this position, I would publicly share my experience online. I received a subsequent call from "Scott" a few hours later. He left a voice mail indicating that Jake did clear out my main sewer line, and that I had a lateral line stoppage on my washing machine drain. Scott said to file a new claim with my home warranty company (which would have cost an additional $60). I decided I had enough with Dispatch Home Services, and turned to Angieslist to find another plumber. I found another company who was A rated. On December 3, a different plumber from another company, came in with a scope and determined there was in fact a root growing in my sewer line right under the powder room toilet. Apparently the root was still clinging to some debris. The plumber was able to clear the blockage. The plumber gave me several options to remedy the situation. I have not had any issues since going with a different plumber. In sum, I found Dispatch Home Services to be incompetent, unaccountable, and unscrupulous. I intend to dispute the service call with my credit card company. read more

They are terrible. My home warrenty company called made an appointment but they claimed no one had made an appointment. When they did come out they just read the report that the other plumber had done and said yep you have a major leak and it's really going to cost a bunch. Sadly my experience mimics many others listed here. Sent out by home warranty company for a clogged sewer main. They tried to charge us $3,400 to start tearing up my backyard to replace the mainline. Under suspicion I called my own plumber who cleared the block the next day for $175. While the technician was very friendly he clearly did not have the skills to address our issue and thankfully we avoided getting stuck with costly and unnecessary repairs. Do yourself a favor and call a more reputable company or get a second opinion for any costly estimates. read more

This company was the company selected to fix a plumbing issue by our home warranty. The first time they came out, they were on time and professional. However, they failed to fix the issue at hand (a leak with malfunctioning valves). We called back and our warranty company said they would recall the ticket and send the same technician out again. We were grateful as we had high hopes due to their professionalism the first time. However, we did not receive a call to schedule a time with them for several days despite our calls to them. When we did get a hold of someone, they said that we were on the schedule for that day. Since we weren't notified prior and we had to work, we asked for it to be scheduled for when we could be home. When our time came, no one showed up. We called and they said they had to reschedule without telling us due to an emergency. The reschedule reschedule day came and again no one showed up. We called and the technician followed up. He called (before looking at anything) and informed us that he didn't think he'd be able to help us even though he had said that he could before? It was confusing. He gets to our house says he is going out to his truck for parts and leaves...as in never comes back in. It would have been comical had it been a film. Needless to say, we won't be using them again, or recommending them to our friends. Maybe our enemies...maybe. read more

Had an upstairs clog in double sinks. The technician was dispatched by our home warranty service. He arrived later than what we were told by several hours. He was told to snake out the drains using a snake machine. He tried plunging the drain (something we had already tried). He then tried to manual snake the drain and failed. He then wanted to cut into a bedroom wall to access the pipe. He gave us an estimate of more than $300. Told us he was going to lunch and would return later. He never returned, never called or even answered our calls. We hired our own plumber who came out and used a machine to snake the drains and completed the repair within 10 seconds. Buyer beware with this company. They basically took our money and ran. They are incompetent and unreliable. read more

This was the company selected by my home warranty company to fix a problem with my hot water heater where the pilot light wasn't staying lit. To be honest, the bad reviews here had me really concerned. However, I called Landmark and they assured me they get largely great reviews for Dispatch. I know sometimes people tend to come and complain more about bad service than recognize good service on things like Yelp, so I figured I would give them a go and see what happens. The window they give you is 8am-5pm, which is a little annoying, but if you call the morning of service they'll give you a 2 hour window. My guys showed up within that 2 hour window, and took less than 10 minutes to diagnose the problem (i.e., a defective part that needed to be ordered). They ordered the part and called me back within a week to set up a time to come by, and offered to be by within 30-60 minutes if that worked for me. I said sure, and they were by within that time frame and took about 30-45 minutes to fix the water heater. It's now working perfectly, and I only had to pay the $60 "service fee" that's essentially the deductible thru Landmark. I was exceedingly happy with Dispatch and Landmark. read more

The shop was picked by my warranty company, so I was a bit cautious about the bad reviews. However, the experience was great. We had a garbage disposal which sprung a major leak over the weekend, so the kitchen sink was effectively unusable. Dispatch Home was the only plumber who was able to come out on Monday. Will gave me a courtesy call exactly 30 minutes before arrival, he was professional and quick with the job, cleaned everything up after. We are very happy with the new disposal. read more

My home warranty company referred me for service to Dispatch Home Service, and I spoke with Kim 2 different days (Monday and Tuesday) to schedule and to confirm the appointment for Wednesday after 2:00 pm. Come Wednesday, I called Dispatch to inquire whether I was still in the schedule as I have already waited 2 hours. I spoke with Laura this time and she told me that they have cancelled the appointment. She told me that someone called me in the morning (she couldn't tell who) and that I didn't answer, and that when they leave a voicemail, I have 5 minutes to call to reschedule. I never got a call from anyone about this, and definitely didn't receive a voicemail. Then Laura finally told me that she will schedule Paul to come in later in the day, and that he will call or text me first, on his way over. I started waiting again, and finally called the number Laura gave me for Paul, and Paul said that the service was for tomorrow. I was lied to twice. I had to take time off from work, and rearrange my schedule twice, only to be told that it will have to be the following day. And tomorrow, they will text or call me when they are on their way. (But if I don't call within 5 minutes, they will reschedule.) Since I had to take off today, I can't just take off tomorrow (they didn't even give me a time span when they might come). I spoke with the owner Skye and she said that she is doing her best to accommodate my schedule. How? This company is not reliable, not trustworthy, as they lied to me twice in one day. I informed my home warranty company and I hope the home warranty company never uses them again. read more

These guys are over charging for services. They are not at all professionals, and they have no clue on service experience. Flat fees and up charging everything like making a vent hole a little larger will cost you 75$ for 3 minutes of work. I understand they need to make money, but charging modifications that needs to be done for the install is one thing if bringing up to code, but charging to make adjustments is part of the install and should not cost extra. It took them nearly two weeks to get an outside gas leak repaired-and now I still have to wait until Monday for the city inspection since they didn't request on until I called yet again to check on the status. I was told that it would only be one day for the work and the city would inspect the next day. Numerous no-shows/late shows with no communication. The work request was submitted prior to a cold snap that went through, but when I called to find out where they were, they said that they had other jobs and put me off another two days. Do not call this company for your plumbing problems! We contacted our home warranty company to report the annoying problem of the pilot lights going out on our water heaters. This company was selected by my home warranty company to investigate why the pilot lights on our water heaters would not stay lit. Our first interaction with them was a couple days before Christmas 2016. Two "plumbers" came to our home, we explained the problem to both of them, one of the "plumbers" turned the pilots on and off and said, "he did not see a problem." He didn't perform any type of diagnostic test nor did he attempt to look further for anything that could potentially be causing the problem. He took the $75 trade fee, I said Merry Christmas and they left. I contacted my home warranty company to let them know that NOTHING was done and they offered to send them out again. Hoping to get another "plumber" who cared more than the one we'd gotten, I agreed to allow another plumber from the same company to come out to our home again. Lo and behold it was the same "plumber." He, again, turned the thermostat on and off again and when my husband asked him about the possibility of looking into the problem of the Thermocouple being faulty, he replied, "He was the plumber," and left our home. My husband called him on his mobile phone to ask if was going to return to look at our water heaters and the Dispatch Plumbing "plumber" hung up on him. He was rude, most unprofessional and did not offer any solutions to our problem other than, "Maybe you need to get a new water heater." When we contacted our home warranty company they told us this "plumber" told them that "[he'd] denied our claim." Now we are stuck to pay for calling another plumber out to diagnose what the real problem may be with our water heaters before our warranty company will consider overturning the decision made by this company. After seeing the numerous complaints lodged against this company, I have a duty to warn any one who may consider contacting them for their plumbing needs. read more

The absolute worst experience we have ever had with a business. We had a home warranty with landmark, and this is the company they used to replace our water heater in May or June. We gave them our bank information and expected them to do the payment within a reasonable time frame. Several weeks went by and they didn't take our payment. My husband called several times over the next few weeks, and they still didn't take our payment. He finally just gave up calling. An entire MONTH later they called us saying our card was declined. Well, yea. We weren't expecting a $500 payment to be coming out of our account that day... 2 months after. We asked why they waited 2 months to even try to take our payment and got some insincere sob story. Immediately transferred the money so they could do the transaction, and once again they didn't take our payment. Husband tried calling a few times. Still nothing. Fast forward to today... another 2 months later, and this woman calls us saying that our payment won't go through. Well, obviously. It's the end of the month. We live on a budget. We don't keep an extra $500 in our bank account waiting for some crap business who did a job for us 4 months ago to take a payment. That's not how life works. The owner claims that she has tried to take our payment a few times over the last few weeks, but still... she waited at least a month after we talked to her the last time. And, if she has been unsuccessfully trying to take our payment for weeks, why did we just hear from her today? Doesn't make sense. You cannot wait months to take a huge payment from a customer. People have to be able to plan and budget. And if you are going to wait literal months it would be super awesome to know beforehand that you're going to try to take the payment so we could have the money in our account and not get a nice shock next time we look at our bank statement. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

Was treated very unprofessionally by this company. They were late getting to me (they are a vendor for my home service company) by 2 hours. They promised to contact me and give me at least 90 minuted to get home from work and that the call to notify me would be after 1:30 in the afternoon. They called at 11:40. I immediately contacted their office and told them we agreed that I could not leave work before 1:30. I was told no problem to simply be home by 2:30. At 4:00 no calls, no service. When I called in to check on arrival time I was told "you're going to have to wait till tomorrow." I understand miscommunication, and in fairness I was upset but the fact they did not call to reschedule then to make no effort to get somebody over to make the repair, then to be yelled at and hung up on by somebody who represented himself as the owner. HORRIBLE!!!! Too many good hard working companies who want to take care of their clients. Find anybody else! read more

I was recommended by my home warranty company to this plumbing company to repair my toilet in my master bedroom. I waited on them to call and set up an appt, no call, I had to call them. When they showed up to my home, I answered the door, they did identify themselves,they saw I was not going to open the door and that's when one of the guys stated the company they work for. Well, the older man went to the toilet look at, didnt touch anything,nor did he say anything, he went out to his truck, came back with the warranty company on his phone, he had told them that we had damaged the toilet, so therefore the warranty company would not pay for the parts and repairs....we have been in our home for 11yrs,no repairs to the toilet, all that was wrong with the toilet,was wear and tear...the flap was old and messed up and the valve had cracked, so my husband we and bought a flap to replace it, not knowing the value was messed up too, the water would not fill, due to the valve had cracked at the based. The plumber stated that we broke it due to blunt force, when replacing the flap, the valve did not have to be touched....I feel that we were his last call of the day, he could not get any extra money out of us, due to all our part were covered and he did not want to do the work being late in the evening, so he lied to the warranty company, so he did not have to do the work. Along, with all the other reviews, this company is horrible.....do not use them...And, what they did, they got our credit card info ahead time, so they could get paid, b/c before I could stop pay...they had already charged my debit card....they had not even made it out of my drive way. read more
