Last summer it went out. The company that installed it came out 16 times between July and November. Multiple boards replaced, new wires run as well as a new eev on the indoor coil. They even had to replace the damper between the two zones because during the initial installation, they installed the wrong damper (yes, they admitted this). There's probably more but I think I've made my point. So why am I posting this? Well, because the AC has been out again for a week. Go figure. Also, I've asked for several call backs, including from owners and have had none in a week.

That cost $110 as it is under the 10 year warranty, which, given there have been constant problems for 6 out of the last 7 years since 2 units were installed in 2019, was okay, or so we thought. About a month later, the condenser fan for that same upstairs unit stopped spinning, so when the tech came to assess the situation on August 1st, he stated that the coil needed to be replaced due to a leak, and that it would cost $2900 to repair with labor, which occurred 3 days later on the 4th. During the repair, the tech was constantly on the phone when he should have been focused on his job, and bragged to the person he was speaking to that he was the best tech Mondragon had. For starters, people great at their job don't brag about it, but what does that say about your company when the unit goes out 2 weeks later which it did today, on the 21st due to the condenser fan not spinning yet again with lukewarm air coming out the vents? Mind you, after the coil was replaced on the 4th, just 3 short days later the downstairs unit stopped working. When I called to relay my frustration, the rep I spoke to took notes of what I had to say, and stated she would send my info to a service manager, who would call me back shortly. I heard back shortly alright, but via text where it was relayed to me that a tech could come out.........in 3 WEEKS, the second week of September!!!! They claim it is due to being behind and being short staffed, but come on. My mother is on Social Security, she CANNOT AFFORD TO SPEND HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS EVERY 2 WEEKS WHEN THE UNITS STOP WORKING!!!!! There is NO guarantee when it comes to their labor, please folks, go elsewhere and DO NOT let your hard earned money go to waste!!! Shortly after, they sent an automated spiel text with [Customer Name] indicating they will no longer provide services at my mother's address, before they sent that same message a second time with my name in lieu of [Customer Name], indicating other people have had similar problems with their company. They still owe my mother the back half of the annual maintenance for the winter tune-up up and refuse to answer phone or messages. They are that sensitive, and rather than address the customer's needs and concerns as a reputable company would do, they resort to juvenile grade school tactics proving they are not worthy of your business. That said, I do wish them all the best as well and hope they learn to treat customers better in the future rather than dismissing them and saying it is a problem on our end instead of owning up to their mistakes.

As for pricing, instead of the opaque flat-rate tier pricing from other companies who wouldn't even deign to explain their quotes, Sean laid out crystal-clear, honest rates upfront. Zero hidden games. On Thursday, Blake, our technician, arrived right on time at 8:15 AM. By 9:00 AM--just 45 minutes later--our AC was blowing ice-cold air! Blake correctly identified that the actual culprit was the PMC board (not the inverter board, reactor, or surge protector that others claimed). He swapped in the temporary board and even took the extra time to clean out fallen crape myrtle blossoms and debris from inside the outdoor unit. Shortly after Blake left, Sean called to walk us through a quick Wi-Fi prompt on our thermostat and confirmed that our new OEM warranty part was officially ordered. What impressed us most is that throughout this entire process, nobody ever tried to hard-sell us on anything. They simply focused on solving our problem with integrity and speed.
