Went in to get a dress didnt get any help or was allowed to try on dresses due to my gender,was very upset and still am was invited to prom i couldnt attend due to them , i got tk peruse the dresses but no individualized attention given to me and still am wondering why, how can the temperment change for some but not all, very discriminatory business. Plus its kinda weird that men were involved in a womens business, like i said horrible customer service and no way shape or form did anyone try to make it right, still upset and the last post i wrote they made yelp delete it on their behalf because it wasnt complimentary in nature. Their prices are fair. Even has excellent selection of shoes and accessories. I purchased a prom dress for my daughter her s couple years ago, came back with younger daughter now. I dislike this store very much. Staff was rude and insulting to my daughter. We are NOT all smalls and mediums. When a child goes in dress shopping she doesn't need a staff member making a comment that she didn't fit! When I told her to look at different dresses a staff member told her this was a business and not for play and made her put a dress back! Needless to say we left without buying anything. I was told by a few people already, who also walked out, not to bother. I thought I would give it a try but I should have listened. It was a waste of my time and I will never give a good review or refer anyone there. I will also make note that more than one person walked out also. I don't know what they think they have there but I've seen all of those dresses elsewhere, which is where I will be going. RUDE, INSULTING AND JUDGEMENTAL! read more

I went with my mom to get her a dress for my wedding. We walked out almost immediately. My mom saw a dress she liked and a gentleman who I am assuming was the manager came up behind us and asked what size we need. My mom answered him. He then continued to look at me and ask again. I am considered plus size as I do not wear a size 12. However, I was not shopping there that day. My mom answered him again and told him her size. He then proceeded to say the biggest size they carry is a 12 and ask again what size we need to which my mom answered him a third time. I finally said "It's not for me, it's for her." He then seemed taken aback and started pulling things for my mom. We left immediately. He really needed to mind his own business about my dress size and help my mother who would have been his paying customer. read more

Came here shopping for prom dresses and was shocked with how my friend was treated. The woman, who was the only employee in the store, was extremely pushy and rude. She ignored everything we were saying and only picked dresses that SHE liked and kept assuring us that SHE knew what looks good, and tight dresses would not look "good" on my friend. I would pick dresses for my friend and the woman would take the dresses out of my hands and tell me they are not good dresses for my friend, that they would not look good and they are not what she likes. She brought dresses completely opposite from what my friend was looking for and made several comments about her size. She was insanely judgmental and unprofessional. My friend is beautiful but she was not made to feel that way, we were excited to find dresses but she ruined that. I will not be returning and do not recommend anyone to shop there unless they are a size 00 and happy to be insulted. Distinct Dressing was extremely disappointing and me and all my friends will buy our dresses elsewhere. read more

I WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND DISRESPECTEDI !! I WISH I could give this place ZEROOOO STARS! I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE ever. I went in looking for a prom dress with my service dog. As soon as I walk in the lady that was working there comes up to me saying "no pets allowed", which I understand, I get that, but I briefly explained to her that he is my service dog. She continued by saying "that's ok, I'm ALLOWING it this time, but please keep it away from the dresses, as you will be responsible for any damages done to the dresses because of your dog". First off, I don't know if she UNDERSTOOD what a service dog is, but they are calm in public environments and not destructive whatsoever, he is there to assist me with my underlying conditions. She was so worried about getting dog hair on the dresses, which made no sense because they are all bagged and he is hypoallergenic and doesn't shed. Anyway, I proceeded to walk down the fairly wide aisle in the entrance taking a look at dresses, when she made another comment saying "I have my pets too, but you don't see me bringing them to work with me in a dress shop" which was very rude and disrespectful considering he is my service dog. Then, I wanted to look more thoroughly through the dresses which were in racks with less space in btwn them, so I asked my mom to hold my service dog, since I was being considerate about the dog near the dresses, and she comes running towards me saying "sweetie PLEASE the dog CANT be near the dresses". I looked at her baffled, and with such disgrace because at this point she's attacking me!! I pointed to where my mom stood a couple of feet away from me, and was like "my service dog is over there ma'am". She then proceeded to go up to my mom and asked her if there was any way she could stand OUTSIDE with MY service dog. To which my mom proceeded to tell her that he was my service dog, so she can't be away from me. She then started to attack me and bombard me with further questions asking if "I really NEEDED my service dog?!" "what do you need the dog for?" "what is it that he does for you?" and even had the AUDACITY to say "if he steps outside, I'm here to help you with anything! That's my job" and I was left speechless bc last time I checked, she is not a specially trained service dog to help me with my needs and underlying conditions, she is a lady in a dress shop, that is her job, not to be my damn service dog!! I FELT SOOO DISRESPECTED AND DISCRIMINATED AGAINST, NEVERRRR in my life have I been treated this way in a store. Service animals are allowed in public facilities and it is illegal if her to be asking me personal questions about my conditions and what I need my service dog for. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I left because I'm not spending my money at a place that treats people like this. disgusting! read more

This store had a great selection of dresses. They were pretty good with all of the sizes and if you liked a dress that they did not have, you could order it in your size online. The women that helped me was very helpful. She zipped up my dress and tied it if it was a corset I don't think there is anything bad to say about this store. read more

Distinct dressing, more like disgusting dressing. Walked into the place, seemed ok. But we looked around at the dresses and the store manager, I'm assuming, kept on picking out specific dresses for us when we were just browsing. He was pressuring us to try on the five or six different dresses. Found a dress that seemed ok, but saw a stain on it. When asked what it was, the manager said "it's probably underarm deodorant." We looked at the inside tags, but they were cut off with scissors. Most of the dresses were over $189, so pretty expensive for a prom dress meant for an event lasting 3 hours. Ok selection. Ok prices. Owner was extremely pushy. After my daughter tried on several dresses and was not excited about any we were told to "just buy one!" After we explained she did not find one she adores we were again told "just buy one!" I was not willing to spend $200/$300 on a dress that my daughter did not love. My daughter shopped with some friends yesterday -looking for prom/sweet 16 dresses-one of her friends picked a dress to try on and a man came over and took the dress away from her and said, "this dress won't fit you" didn't offer another dress or another size just snatched it away with a disgusting comment!!
