Omgggg this place ! My gf obv said yes to the dress here and we had suchhhh a good time ! We had a party of six so we opted to pay the $150 for the place to ourselves... and champagne obviously... They had the cutest little bar cart set up in here with Hershey kisses, pink starburst, skinny pop, champagne and orange juice (def recommend the champs to be iced!) The girls that worked here were playful and fun but mostly helpful! Our girl was a bit unsure of what she wanted and we also were like...... do we do glitz? Do we need an A line? Veil, no veil? After trying some stuff on, the ladies that worked there helped us all realize that plain can still be the most elegant and my gf ended up saying yes to chiffon twisted front off the shoulder, long sheer sleeve, very flattering dress for a beachy wedding in September. They added a simple belt for some sparkle and recommended a hair piece for the side of her head rather than veil.... What's good for one isn't good for all, really. Veil cute but headpiece was sooo much of a better fit for our bride and she looked beautiful ... Big shout outs to the girls working here bc they accommodated our music and had fun with us too.. we started off a bit rowdy blasting "bring 'em out" by TI but there were tears and Ed Sheeran moments later... As a plus size bride I was dreading wedding dress shopping. I had made three appointments this past Friday at David's Bridal, Estelles, and Ivory & Main. I had a tight budget for my dress and just hoped maybe to get ideas of what I wanted, I didn't have high hopes. David's was nice but not a great selection. I put a dress on hold but I didn't feel good in to. Estelles was miserable, by the time we got to Ivory & Main I was feeling a bit defeated. First, I made my appointment on the wrong day (completely my fault), Currine the owner accommodated is anyway and was so welcoming. I told her my small budget and she was transparent saying she may not have a lot but she would try her hardest. She came out of the back with at least 8 options in my price and style!! The ladies here are super friendly and extremely helpful. The owner (Corinne) has such a wonderful personality! She's def in the right business. They cater to plus sizes here so after you've gone to all the wedding stores that only carry a size 8 or 14 to try on, check this spot out. I think I saw dresses in sizes 26. So obviously, after going to several places looking for dresses, we found maid of honor AND bridesmaids dresses here! The only thing they're missing is having a seamstress in-house. I am SO happy that a bridal store exclusively for plus sizes exists! So many other shops have sample sizes of 8, 10 which doesn't make for such a fun dress shopping excursion but Ivory and Main is great! They get the dresses ready and clip and zip you and bring you out to your bride tribe. They really listened to what styles I liked. This bridal shop made my dreams come true. I just got married this past week July 2 2022 and leading up to the beautiful wedding I was terribly nervous to find a dress I would love. I met w stylist Leigha who took my breath away with how much care, expertise and patience she had. It was her mission to find me a dress that was made for me and within about 20 minutes I did. I was able to be picky, I was able to try on whatever I wanted, she set aside options that would actually fit me and I found a dress that looked like it was made to flatter, accent and love my body! The options here have tons of price points, tons of styles, tons of choices so you are never boxed in at all. They dont force you into limited options like many shops but instead they find something that works with YOU. The alterations appointment was so simple and we got the dress back and completely done in two weeks! The customer service was excellent and I felt extremely comfortable at all of my appointments. I knew that this was going to be the place where I found my dream dress after seeing their social media posts. From the moment I approached the store I enjoyed the experience. The windows were decorated beautifully and I was greeted with a smile. The store is nice and quaint, decorated beautifully and the staff were all polite and supportive. As a plus sized bride I felt so comfortable knowing that I wasn't going to be squeezed into something many sizes too small. Also, the store was kept at a comfortable temperature as well so you can try on the sometimes heavy dresses, in bright lights but not feel overheated which would ruin the experience. As most brides do, I went with several inspiration pictures and ideas in my mind. I had the pleasure of working with Gianna. She asked me some questions about what I wanted, what I wanted to avoid and began pulling some dresses. Everything she pulled was absolutely beautiful. With each dress I tried on she began asking what I did like about it, what I felt I didn't love, what I would change. She gave a few minutes with just my bride tribe for us to discuss without feeling pressured or rushed. We visited this beautiful boutique yesterday for my sister to try on some wedding dresses. We are in town from Florida (ny wedding) and my sister messed up the appointment date. They were able to accommodate us anyway and we're extremely understanding about the mixup. Even though she didn't have a very large budget they were beyond helpful. They pulled beautiful options that were ALL IN THE BUDGET and within the exact style she was looking for. We immediately felt so comfortable and welcomed our attendant Andrea was beyond attentive and took the time to make sure my sister and everyone present was comfortable. As a plus size bride on a tight budget other stores we visited did not have the best selection and the service provided was not top notch. I honestly wish we would have come to this store first because after a discouraging day my sister tried on her first dress and was finally in happy (not sad) tears. The owner took her time and came by each dress she tried on to give her qualified input and made my sister feel like a princess. She chose the 3rd dress she tried on and fell in love with it. Very unhappy with this store. A friend purchased a dress off the rack and was told that even though it was a bigger size then normal,Their seamstress could alter it. So we ordered a earrings and necklace set to match. Low and behold, the seamstress could not alter the dress. The store took the dress back but would not refund the money for the jewelry that we purchased to match the dress. I feel that we were lied to by the store and I think they should have refunded the money for the jewelry and sold in their store to somebody else who wanted to purchase that dress. Well, put your worries to rest and beeline it to Ivory & Main! All the dresses are for curvy/plus size brides! Sure they carry smaller sizes but they SPECIALIZE in the curvy bride!! The staff is so welcoming you feel right at home. They get right down to it and ask you, "What is it you simply MUST have on your dress?" And they deliver, dress after dress giving you all you asked for in different cuts, styles, lace, crystals whatever you fancy! They hand out water to you and your guests and hand held signs that say "Say yes!" or "Next!" And just when you've found the dress of your dreams, POW! they pop a bottle of champagne to celebrate the moment and send you home with a complimentary gift!! HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!! Initially thought I had a great experience at Ivory & Main, nice atmosphere, friendly employees, and seemed to keep my preferences in mind when assisting me in picking dresses to try on. One of the first questions the stylist asked me was what my budget was and if I had been dress shopping before. I advised her of my budget and let her know I had been shopping before and found a dress I loved but was unfortunately over my budget which is why i was still looking. She informed me my budget would not be an issue and assured me there would be a number of dresses to try within my price range. I tried on a number of dresses and finally found one I loved even more than I even thought was possible. The whole time, asking the price and being told the manager was finding out because it was a custom dress. Long story short, I fell in love with the dress, continued having to ask the price & didn't get an answer until I waited at the front desk before walking out the door, only to find out the dress was over a thousand dollars over my budget, and even $300 over the price of the dress I initially told the stylist I loved but was out of my price range. In a last stitch effort to give my business to this establishment I called back some time after to see if the price would differ for a non-plus size dress (I normally wear a size 10) considering I was told it was a custom dress and therefore less material and embellishments would be needed but instead of finding the assistance I was looking for I was treated as though I was speaking a different language and mimicked in the background when checking with another employee for assistance since initially the person who answered could not assist in answering my questions. read more
