WORST BRIDAL SALON EXPERIENCE -- DO NOT RECOMMEND…read more If I could give this bridal salon zero stars, I would. What should have been one of the happiest and most exciting experiences of my daughter's life turned into an absolute nightmare because of the way we were treated. The salon ordered my daughter's wedding dress two sizes too small. . When the dress obviously did not fit, instead of taking responsibility for the situation, my daughter was put through an incredibly stressful and upsetting experience. She ultimately needed over $1,000 in alterations because of the sizing issue. But what was even more disturbing was the way my daughter was made to feel about her body. The owner's mother actually asked if she was expecting. That is an incredibly inappropriate and insensitive question to ask a bride. You have no idea what someone may be going through, whether they have struggled with their weight, have a medical condition. And the attitude from the owner's mother was beyond rude. There was no compassion, no understanding, and no genuine concern for how this situation was affecting my daughter. Instead, we were left feeling as though the problem was somehow my daughter's fault. The mother needs to get out of the business. The result was heartbreaking. She became so uncomfortable and upset by the experience that she didn't even want to walk back into the salon to be fitted for her own wedding dress. Think about that. A bride should be excited to put on her wedding gown--not dread walking into the store that has it. We didn't want them holding onto the dress so we took it telling them not to steam it. We had zero trust in them how sad. A bridal salon is supposed to make a woman feel beautiful, confident, celebrated, and special. Instead, my daughter left feeling embarrassed, judged, and humiliated. The owner and staff should remember that behind every wedding dress is a bride and a family who are trusting you with one of the most important moments of their lives. There is absolutely no excuse for making a bride feel this way. I would never recommend this salon to another bride, and I sincerely hope other brides think twice before trusting this salon with their wedding dress and such an important moment in their lives.

We walked in seeing a mirror of names who made appointments and my stomach dropped. I walked in asking "do I need an appointment" and the woman said yes, however we can still help you. We browsed and I tried on dresses that I envisioned myself in, mermaid dress with lots of sparkles !! The owner Carrie came in and suggested I tried on a dress .... On the hanger I knew it wasn't my type. I tried on the dress and started crying. I found it. It still had the sparkles I wanted but plain on the bottom. I SAID YES TO MY DRESS !!! Forever grateful for Carrie for welcoming me in and showing me something different. The woman (forgive me I forgot her name) who did my fittings is also the seamstress ... absolutely amazing. The sweetest woman we bonded like I knew her for years !! We ended the night having a champagne toast that was peach flavored ! Very delicious and taking a boomerang in front of their back drop ! I asked the owner if they had sizes over a size 10. The owner assured me that they have every dress in stock, in multiple sizes. That my full figured girl could try on anything in the store, and in her size. I explained how sensitive the situation is, that if she walks into a store filled with beautiful dresses, and picks a dress she wants to try on, and it's not her size, or even close to it, how that will shatter her self esteem. We were assured that won't be the case, that they carry size 0-18. We told her what time we were coming in as well. Pulling up, my daughter could not contain her excitement. The window had beautiful gowns. She walked in and immediately went to the pink dress section. (Only 1 of each style on the floor). We asked an attendant (as we were not greeted at all when we entered), to please grab the dress she selected in a size 13. She said that they do not carry each dress in sizes over a 6. But there may be some that are a 10. I asked to speak with the owner after watching the light drain from my daughter's face. I asked if I misunderstood what she stated over the phone, and she said that I hadn't. That coming into the store, we could see what they have and then order in her size. Also that dress orders are final sale. I told her that not allowing someone to try on a dress, and blindly buy a non refundable gown ($500.00 and up), is insane. And that I was upset she lied to me to get us into the store. That it's bad businesses and body shaming. That she had shattered my daughter's day, her self esteem, and made what should have been a beautiful and memorable experience the worst. She did not apologize. She shrugged. She walked over to my daughter's fitting room. Shouted in front of other mom's (with their daughters that could easily fit into all the gowns in the store, no problem), she's a 12 on top and a 14 on the bottom. Then snapped her gums and walked away. We left the store, my daughter in tears. No apology. No resolution. She just humiliated her. She carries beautiful gowns. But so do over 100 other dress stores on Long Island. Please do not support this cruel, body shaming, lying business owner. We are women who should be building one another up. But I do not condone wickedness. This store does not deserve your business. Sadly I had to choose a star. I wouldn't have even given 1.

The salon is for custom designed dresses , not off the rack alterations . The ladies worked with my daughter-in-law , who had purchased the silk and lace in the bridal district in NYC , to customize the dress she specifically had in mind . Every detail was thought out, every adjustment with every bit of lace used , it was truly an amazing custom made creation. The ladies treated us like family as we went through the process .
