I didn't catch the owners name but she was awesome. They are actually real people. Not fake or in it to bs ppl. Was constantly getting mid grade haircuts from other barber shops. Finally gave this place a try and couldn't believe it. Not only is it 2 minutes from my house but they are badass. I loved James and will definitely be coming back here again. He gave me a fresh hair cut and I loved the conversations we held. Walk ins welcomed but a place you should make an appointment. Brought my son here for the first time around noon and it was slow lucky for us. Everyone greeted our family, we brought the whole gang. James took care of my boy and he did such an amazing job. I'm not sure if my kid just liked his vibe or what but my son didn't scream or cry he did amazing and was comfortable. I sometimes don't know where to take him because he is little but there was no issue. James took his time and cleaned up my sons hair real nice. Austin took care of my husband beard it was needing some attention and as a wife I appreciated the attention to detail to the beard because there have been times where the husband comes home and the beard needs to be grown out again because it just doesn't look right. Thank you Austin for taking care of the husband and highly appreciate James for putting out good vibes and taking your time with my son he was also very happy with how handsome he looked with his fresh cut. District Barber Company Arrives. First things first. I used YELP to find my barber. I was planning for my 1st Mohawk so a little bit of faith would be placed into hands of my new barber! I banked on Isabella or James Jones being able to do so with precision as "Line-up" haircuts are their cut specialty mentioned in Yelp services. There were other options available with far more reviews weighing in with near or 4* averages (same as DBC's review). I was able to lock-in my appointment same day (don't expect that to be long term) and was given a couple time options. They use a great scheduling service called Booksy (booksy.com) which specifically caters to booking Beauty and Wellness Professionals in your current local. Don't hesitate to install the application it's very credible and time saving (via the app store based on your mobile OS). Isabella and James have worked together for 4 years prior to Issy's venture into becoming a businesswoman. Clearly in my time spent there; they vibe great together - teamwork. They are truly kind, salt of the earth peeps. JJ is a eat and live healthy advocate. Isabella is a doll. Most importantly they are skilled. You will not need to search for another barber again. For us fellas in the surrounding area it's our good fortune as Most Valuable Barber recently closed. DBC is literally 10 seconds from MVP - so gentlemen I strongly encourage you to keep your normal route and visitation schedule and support DBC. Hey there! Are you searching, scrolling, and ultimately stopped at this page to swipe left-left-right-left-right to double check haircut photos to see if District Barber is right for you? I did the same thing when I was looking for a new barber a couple months ago. I moved to AZ and was swiping and scrolling thru Yelp, Google, and Booksy. I posted a review on District Barber last month on Google, but I failed to post on Yelp. Although I utilized Yelp as part of my initial hunt for a new barber, I was looking more for options than I was reviews, since Yelp feels a bit .. dated. Reviews on Yelp are either a bit old and/or there wasn't enough reviews to solidify a choice. District barber is a cute little spot on the corner of 67th and Cactus. I live 28 miles away, which is 30-90 minutes away dependent if a person forgot how to drive on I-10 or 101. There are more than 50 hair salons and barbers between me and them. I'll go to DB every time. It houses 3 professionals: Bella, James, and Austin. I get my cuts from James, but I've seen the work by Bella and Austin. And let me tell you, if James decided to go on a 6 month cruise, Australian walkabout, or a shaved head-Britney Spears type of hiatus... I'll goto Bella or Austin with zero worries!! They all take the time to understand what kind of haircut you want, and they deliver. The environment is welcoming and comfortable. I'd compare the chill and easy as a Sunday morning vibe to what I picture as the threesome love child between your favorite coffee shop, hole in the wall bar, and local book store. I'd plant myself with my laptop to get some work done if it didn't look weird. If you're on the fence of getting a haircut by them, do yourself a favor and swing on by. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Super chill and great service. They are so friendly and nice and on top of their work. I honestly will and can recommend everyone to book an appointment and get a great haircut. I didn't feel judge because of my dyed hair or felt taken advantage of. Great barbershop in the area. Had been going to my barber for years and after a few issues I decided to go to District Barber to try a new place and it was the best decision. They have great options of barbers to choose from and all three are great. If you're on the fence about trying out a new place this is definitely the place to go get a great cut. read more

New favorite spot in this area! Got my kids hair cut and mine. Barbers did a great job, reasonable prices and all around professional. Another local barber wasn't consistent with their cuts so I'm glad I switched to this place. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

When I went there I had pretty long hair and wanted to trim it a little bit (4 inches+) and asked for a inch off the sides, ended up with super short hair and also payed 35 dollars for a haircut I was disappointed in. I even showed a video where the guy had longer hair and he still cut it super short. read more
