While in the area picking up a coffee we saw V's Barbershop and decided to stop in and see if they had time for a walk in. My son was in desperate need of a cut before school starts back up next week. Lucky for us they had an opening within minutes. The shop was very nice and clean. The owners of this location fired their top two barbers, Vadim and Marina, and are lying to customers who call in to schedule with them, saying they quit. Of course they would want to retain the customer base, but when you only have 6 full time chairs, you can't get rid of your highest earning employees, without cause, and expect your business not to take a hit. Especially when the two barbers you fired have been in the business for decades and have very loyal customers. To the owners: Those customers who are specifically asking for them are THEIR customers, not YOUR customers. They spent years cultivating relationships and trust with their client base. It is unethical for you to try to steal them by lying. Their customers followed them from other locations to yours, and will do the same again. To customers of Vadim and Marina: If you call to schedule with Marina or Vadim and someone at the shop tells you they quit, they are LYING. If you need help contacting them, hopefully you can find an easy route, if you don't have their contact information. I'm kind of glad the talent is going somewhere new anyways, the new owners and new front desk people completely ruined the atmosphere of that place. read more

After I have been to V's Barbershop and had KC give me some sound advice on what to do with my hair I have kept coming back since. The person answering phone in the morning lies with no shame. Asked him for something very clear and then he literally gives me the exact opposite as I asked. I was extremely specific and he LITERALLY gave me the exact opposite. Barber was super nice and had great conversation. With that, I scheduled a basic beard trim. I wanted the lines cleaned up but not changed at all. He took so much hair off my cheek line and brought it down about a 1/4inch to where it looks like a handle bar mustache. My beard has some length, but takes an extremely long time to grow. It'll take weeks to correct this. I wish I noticed it in store so I could ask for a refund. I tipped well trusting everything looked fine. He also trimmed up my eyebrows without asking. Gave me no time to say anything and stop it. I was also just so shocked in the moment. Never had any trim my eyebrows and I've never even seen it at any other barbershop. read more

Definitely don't recommend this place if you are looking for anything other than your basic cut ( which you can get at great clips). I go to barbers for my boys so I can get exactly what I want. I asked for a medium fade and noticed they kind of just did whatever they wanted. I asked for line up for my son and one of the older gentlemen looked at me like I was silly for wanting my sons hair to be lined up he obviously didn't know what he was doing. I asked for them to fix my other sons hair which the lady that was there did to the best of her ability. I felt I was being talking about because I asked them to fix the haircut. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and I definitely would not bring any of my sons here again. I was told to show a picture next time but in my opinion a medium fade is a medium fade. Called to ask how busy they were for a walk in they said to come right in, 30 minute wait, then when i stepped up to the chair the man joked about my long hair asking why i need a haircut, didnt seem confident handling my hair at all, showed him a picture of what id like and he glanced for half a second and got started. Literally 5 minutes later he hands me a mirror and asks if i like it. I felt uncomfortable with the handling so I just paid and got out of there, maybe i could have pressed harder for a better cut but the way he was asking what more i wanted I didnt feel comfortable sitting and explaining to the guy how he was supposed to cut my hair in such a quiet but populated environment. I don't normally go to a barber, with the exception of my cousin when I visit in Colorado, but now that I'm growing my beard longer I decided to check out V's since my stepson goes there. It was a great experience. The entire staff was attentive and Vadim did a great job on my face. He evened out my beard and did a great job lining everything up. Quick, Clean Cut by a Pro Barber Was in the area for dinner and stopped in. I only go with places with real barbers due to some bad experiences in the past. I had also read some good things in Phoenix Magazine's Best of issue about this place. A gal checked me in, invited me to take a seat, and asked it I wanted some water. She said it would be just a few minutes, so I took a seat. Very comfortable, lots of magazines and TVs, and a pool table in the back. I wasn't seated long before a barber finished up and invited me over. Hank cut my hair and we got to exchange some stories about Chicago. Cut my hair perfectly in about 20 minutes while I watched How It's Made... on TV. Will be back! read more

My husband's hair & beard were butchered here. He was specific to request just an inch off his rugged beard that took him 4 years to get to the right shape & size. He left looking like he went to a butcher shop, not a barber shop, with barely over an inch of his beard left & oddly shaped. He regrets trying a new barber. I tried to convince him to go back in (especially after paying so much) but he was just done. Customer service was not anything to brag about either. We were a walk-in because the appointments were full but we were mostly ignored for about 15-20 minutes & told twice they were skipping him to take other walk-ins who would not take as much time. I guess we should have left at that point but he was hoping for a good experience. So sad. They did take their time & used hot towels, which was nice but even the haircut was one of the worst of his life. read more
