See, I fly standby thus I rarely check my luggage. And because I don't check my lugguage, I'm limited to the 3 oz liquid rule for EVERYTHING. So all the local liquor/wine/beer I would like to bring home, I typically can't. And this place is like the answer to my prayer! I don't remember seeing this place in December when I came through LGA, and I couldn't find a listing on Yelp... so I'm guessing this may be a new establishment. They offer beer (by the bottle or pack), liquor & wine from NY. Domestic & International passengers welcome. It's not duty free, it's just a local flavor shop. They even have some snacks and jams and peanut butter etc. The liquor choices are unique (and pricey... the one beach plum gin I saw was over $60 a bottle). There were some affordable wine ($17-20 on the low end). But I was just wanting to bring home some beer. $3 each (12-oz glass bottle mostly, or a few can beer options) or $12-16 4-6 pack. That is quite reasonably priced in my opinion. I ended up with a can of Crisp & a can of Bronx Pale Ale. It's definitely a much better "souvenir" choice than a lousy tshirt.

I tried "The Goods" Sandwich from Alidoro, a great half a sandwich for $8. The Chocolate Cashew Pudding ($9) from Westbourne is also delicious.

NYC has bodegas and this higher end convenience store is actually smaller than most of the ones you'd find. The Goods Mart distinguishes themselves by offering more local and organic products for reasonable prices. The selling point is the 1.25 cup of La Colombe coffee and organic slushies they have plus fresh sandwiches which get delivered daily at 11am. Because it is small, it might get a little claustrophobic inside. The main display has a bouquet of beautifully arranged flowers and the sandwiches with made in NYC products. I'm curious if this concept will take off and while I wouldn't go there normally except for maybe the drinks, it is a cool idea to try in Soho. Happy shopping and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

From smacks , drinks , reading materials, basic travel needs , etc , are available here at typical airport prices . A good place to grab a few things while you wait or if you got some one before a flight . 4 stars on my yelp meter as my cuzs plane landed a bit earlier then expected.

Shopfair, so far, has not served me a plate of disappointment yet as far as their fruits. I have been finding myself walking to this supermarket during lunchtime so it wouldnt really hurt to give them the extra star (three stars in total).The two-star deduction is just for aesthetics of the supermarket, lack of space or the "cluttered feeling" in the aisles, not too many exciting food options and mediocre food bar. This place is packed with all kinds of things to eat and drink, plus household items and miscellaneous stuff. Clean, bright, fully stocked, organized. Good to know it's in the area.

Was on my lunch break near Korean Town on the west side when I notice a 711 and its time to get my big gulp fix minus the hot dog but a plastic sealed turkey and cheddar sandwich is acceptable. Wow this particular 711 is bigger then most I have visited as its more like a mini mart with a bit extra . Typical 711 stuff here and place is kept clean and well stocked when no bums begging for money near the front entrance. Got my big pulp and sandwich , few lottery tickets and now I can go back to my office and partake in my typical 2 hour lunch break but next time I am getting 2 hot dog without any guilt or hesitant feelings at all.

Outside, you can pick up the daily newspapers or a magazine -- English and Polish -- or get your cigarettes or lottery tickets through the sliding window. Inside, they don't have much more: Soda, juice, and beer. An ATM. Some snack food items. And polybagged porn magazines. The shop's not that great, but it's extremely convenient -- and the people working there are nice enough. Regardless, there's no reason you'd go here other than it's on your way to the subway.
