The Goods Mart distinguishes themselves by offering more local and organic products for reasonable prices. The selling point is the 1.25 cup of La Colombe coffee and organic slushies they have plus fresh sandwiches which get delivered daily at 11am. Because it is small, it might get a little claustrophobic inside. The main display has a bouquet of beautifully arranged flowers and the sandwiches with made in NYC products. This more spacious location is easy to maneuver. Whenever I've been at TJ's East Village, the line has been at most 5 minutes. Down the street from the crowded shops at Union Square, this East Village/Stuytown E. 14th block has become another location in town with the retail winning Trifecta of where Manhattanites like to shop: Whole Foods, Target, and (of course) Trader Joe's!

While coming into NYC, I had to stop by to the Walgreens right in the station to get cough drops. There is nothing more convenient than this and the line inside proves my point. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright and very new with clean isles to navigate through. This incredibly delightful staff was over the top in greetings. Happy to see a customer. Happy to help a customer. Happy to speak with a customer. The item I needed was right on the checkout line... I never new cough drop were that type of impulse item, and there could be so many brands. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in.
