Thankfully, the next day Lauren the manager heard me out and then Jamie and later Kristina B worked wonders to get my color looking presentable again. Shout out to them for the many processes and for saving my hair. The general care and caliber of services the second day was much better all around. But I'm a new mom and finding time and a sitter to even get my hair done at all is a big deal. I finally had the time and messaged her directly telling her what I wanted with some inspo pictures. She said she was booked for weeks, but would set me up with one of her girls, Erica. She advised me to come in for a consult so that Erica can see my hair. I went in for my consult and Erica was great. After my consult we made an appointment! It was time for my appointment! I reminded Erica of what I wanted and she listened 100%! I wanted black with blue. She advised me there are a lot of different blues and she showed them all to me. I walked out with I believe 4 different blues! My hair was better than I could have imagined. Erica brought so much life back to my hair. So why 4 stars and not 5? When I paid I was not advised of the fee for using a card. It also isn't advertised anywhere. I didn't know until I got my receipt. I wish the receptionist either told me when I handed her the card or even after. If I didn't ask for my receipt I never would have known and would have thought I was charged the wrong amount on my statement.

This is a BEAUTIFUL, comfortable, full-service salon, and I enjoyed my full tour when I came in bright and early on a Saturday morning to get my cut. Jessie did an AWESOME job taming my CRAZY hair, without cutting it all off!! I love how she really explained the process of the Deva Cut, and gave me some great ideas (NOT just pushing products) to help have more success with my unruly locks. With the Deva cut, they cut your hair dry (to get a better feel of the curl) and then wash and condition, and dry afterwards. I'm still seeing great results nearly a week later, and that's rare for me!! Wow!! GREAT service, super attention to detail, and no matter how busy they got as the morning went on, I never once felt overlooked, which happens in other salons no matter how much you're paying. Today I decided to go there and dye my hair. It was strange as they called me two days ago to let me know to come earlier and that someone else from the person that I had booked online would take care of me. The person who was dying my hair for a year now is not there anymore. Most of the people who were taking care of me before are not there anymore. Today it was the worst experience ever! I am really disappointed with the service. My hair looks awful. I wish I have not used them. My advice as I run my own business--The staff should be more caring about customers and should not experiment with other people's hair. The difference of colors on my hair was absolutely obvious. My hair before was a clear blond color and now the roots are yellow/brown! They were pretending that was all great instead of trying to fix the problem before me paying and leaving the premises. As soon as they told me that I was done with the styling and hair treatment, I approached the register to pay and it was there I made the complaint. The staff knew in advance that they performed malpractice on my hair treatment. They were hoping that I would not have noticed but I stayed silent until I go to the register. I understand that people can make mistakes but no one has owned up to it to say I am sorry. They were making me feel that they were the victims when indeed they had control of my hair and head. If you love and respect your hair, you will not commit color suicide to your hair.

I certainly found my lucky charm at the end of that rainbow with Dana. The salon is beautifully designed, and I was greeted immediately at the door and given a nice silk robe. They sat me down, and I was offered a beverage. Dana immediately came over with a smile on her face, and listened to every request i made. She walked me through what she wanted to do, and made suggestions along the way. She took her time with me, rather than rushing back and forth between clients. Highlighting blondes can take hours, and she did not spare any expense at ensuring everything was perfect. She's fun to be around, and was honest about how to care for and color my hair moving forward. I left the salon and at least 5 people commented on my walk out of SAKS how much they loved my blonde. Don't waste time and shed tears over a bad hair dye job: GO SEE DANA IMMEDIATELY! I saw Tom for my haircut, and was blown away by how friendly and personable he was. He took his time, and even had me stand to cut my hair to make sure it was perfect. After blowing it out, he went through my hair again to make sure that no hair was out of place. He also was not too scissor happy, so my growing locks were thankful! Also note that the salon carries so many haircare lines, from Kerastase to oribe and even phytomer. Also, fear of scissor-happy hairdressers who take off too much hair and don't listen to your wants and needs. You may ask, "Why Mandi, what caused you to get haircutophobia?" I'll tell you a story. I was four, and I had lovely long, long, curls. My older brother was growing bored of cutting the hair of his teddy bear, so he thought it would be wise to attempt his newfound skills on his kid sister. Guess who started kindergarten that year with an awful bowl haircut to her ears? Yep. This girl. Sigh. As such, ever since that fateful day, my quest for the perfect hairdresser has been on. I realized I had bookmarked this place some time ago, and with an upcoming vacation I decided to call. I asked the receptionist who she recommended for long hair, and she said "Michael". Conveniently, he was available for an appointment the following day at 10:30 am. I came in this morning and met Michael, who recognized me from Sephora days, and I recognized him as well. We were off to a great start, and I immediately felt comfortable. He talked to me about what I wanted and we had our game plan. This is the first time ever at a salon that the person who cut my hair, also washed and blew out my hair. I was VERY impressed with this, as many salons will have one person shampoo you, then you get your haircut, and sometimes another person will blow out your hair. I have A LOT of hair, and I knew it can be a pain to have to blow dry but Michael loved it and said it was one of his favorite parts of doing hair. Over the years, whenever I've had to go to another stylist at a different salon for a special occasion, no one has ever come close to matching Jessica's talent. She's even done a few updos for some special events I attended, and each time she created exactly what I envisioned.
