I am never one to leave a bad review on a business, but after several months of dealing with serious health issues I decided treating myself was well deserved. I found this salon through social media and was immediately impressed by the work they shared so I contacted a stylist about booking an appointment and was told to come in for a consultation. I came in for my consultation to speak about what color I was interested in doing and the possibility of some extensions. After showing the stylist the color I wanted (i'll include the picture) I was quoted $370 for cut and color alone, at that point I made a quick decision and said F it i deserve this and booked the appointment. 2 days later after a full 8 hour shift, an hour and a half drive to the salon, and 4 hours in the chair I was BEYOND disappointed with the way it came out. Don't get me wrong the salon itself and the energy and the people working there are great but I am not the type of person to sit there and complain about the 4 hours of work someone had just done and was seemingly so proud of (as i believe most people can agree they would also bite their tongue in a situation like this) I would have said something had I known sooner than after the blowout, but when I'm sitting in a salon chair with no mirror in front of me for hours while 2 rounds of bleach are going on my head and I had no idea what it looked like the whole process what else am I meant to do but trust the stylist. So it wasn't until AFTER the blowout that I realized this was NOT AT ALL the color I had asked for. But I put a smile on my face and walked out the door after paying $370, went home and just cried over what I had just spent over half my paycheck on and now have to pay a different salon to fix because I refuse to go back to this place because I simply don't trust them.. read more

I highly recommend Felicia- she is a talented stylist- she REALLY listens to what you want- and gives you great suggestions if you're unsure. She even takes the time to show you tips and tricks of how to blow dry so you get the same results as her, which is so beyond helpful. She does not cut more then necessary to get the job done so a trim is truly a trim, which I have found to be rare. I leave her chair feeling beautiful. Also, the vibe of the salon is awesome- very warm and friendly. As if that's not enough- you can even enjoy a complimentary glass of wine. Seriously? I come here to get my nails done, but overall the place is nice. All staff are friendly and greet you upon arrival and compliment on my nail designs. Stacy the nail tech is WONDERFUL. She's very dedicated and a perfectionist with her work. You bring a design or present her with an idea for for your nails and she does a great job if not better at executing it. They even offer complimentary beverages (water, coffee, tea AND WINE )!!! Hands down would recommend this establishment and Stacy for any nail needs. read more

Alisha does a great job. The owner sal is a nice guy too. I like getting my haircuts there because the staff is pretty. My hairdresser of 25 years decided that it was OK to retire. But for me that meant finding someone new to trust with my hair. I did what any normal person would do. And went to a bunch of different salons around Long Island for a blowout to try to see if I like the atmosphere. Chicc was the only salon that I felt comfortable in. A lot to be desired. I went to the studio with a picture of what I wanted from a picture posted on the studio's website of work they had already done to another client. Silly me thinking, if they have already done this on someone else, it wouldn't be too difficult to do it to me considering my current hair color was very similar to the picture. To my surprise, 3 hours and $300 later, I was told that the shop was closing and I needed to leave and return in FOUR days to complete the attempt at dying my hair because it was ORANGE!! I had no choice to leave the shop on Saturday afternoon with ORANGE hair and return on Tuesday night! I returned on Tuesday night, although I didn't feel comfortable going back and everyone told me not to, but I didn't want to pay more money again. Another 3 hours in the shop and 3-4 more attempts at getting my hair to not be orange and I left with roots that are still coppery/orange and the length of my hair darker brown instead of the blonde that I originally wanted. I went to this salon on a recommendation from someone else and had high hopes based on other reviews and pictures posted on their website. Never in a million years did I think I was spending $300 for a 6-7 hour, 8-10 step process of turning my hair orange!!!! I do not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

After several unsuccessful makeup tries elsewhere I decided to try salon near our wedding venue and I couldn't have been happier! First of all both Stacy and Jackie are really masters of what they do! Second of all they couldn't be nicer, sweeter and friendlier! And did I mention patient? And taking all the time that is needed? Horrible experience at this place and I'll never go back. After paying thousands of dollars they blamed me for losing my extensions that they most definitely lost, threw out or more likely used on another client as they were only once used! Disgraceful. Chicc Hair Studio is the best salon I've ever been to. Whether you want your hair cut, colored, blown out, curled, styled, done for an event, your make up done, eyebrows done... It's the place to go. Every stylist is top notch. They are constantly staying up to date with every trend and all of the best products. The atmosphere is wonderful! Friendly. Professional. And you walk out feeling fabulous. I get so many compliments on my hair. I personally see Michelle. But as I said before... Every stylist is truly amazing. WOW I am sooooo happy and sooooo pleased with the Balayage that Michelle did on me!!!! You know bleach can be the devil but Michelle did an amazing job!! She takes so much pride in her work, she has such great energy it's contagious! First off let me start by saying this is the absolute best hair salon I've ever been to. Not only did I schedule an appointment short notice, they took me in right away. I called 3 days before prom. I got there was seated right away, Jaime is amazing. She styled my hair perfectly, the exact way I wanted it. I also got my makeup done, Stacy did an OUTSTANDING job with it. Just moved to the area from Manhattan and this place was near my apt. Just driving by and seeing the outside I didn't think much of the place but the reviews seemed decent so I gave it a shot. SO glad I did. Sal was hilarious and welcoming. The salon was very nice and well put together. Michelle did my cut and color. She communicates very well and let's you know what will work with your hair and won't. She was so good about explaining as she went along and my hair came out looking FAB! My haircutter's name was Jackie and she cut my hair perfectly. So it was the first time I've ventured out since my hair was destroyed by the last time I went to someone different than my usual colorist. I was VERY hesitant on trying someone new but I had to do it. I called on a Tuesday got an appointment for Thursday- great start. Then I got in and out of the salon within 2 hours for a full highlight (it is usually at least 3 and a half hours for my partial with my normal colorist)- another plus. Sal did my hair and he was awesome. Talked me through my consultation and my color was great. When I got home I realize my widow peak wasn't down the way I like it (I'm a little crazy about it). I called and asked if they could redo the piece- they had me come in without a problem. I felt super awkward and bad. Sal reassured me that everything was okay and he just needs to get to know what I like. Talk about customer service. So yes I'd highly suggest coming here. The BEST!!! Salvatore gave me the best Ombré and haircut I've ever had! The amazing customer service began the minute I walked through the door and was greeted by Stacy (who also did my eyebrows btw, perfection!) and lasted throughout the entire appointment! Lisa, the assistant, was very attentive offering coffee, water, and I believe they had wine (I was there at 10am, we both agreed a little early for that!). My hair session began with sitting with Salvatore and discussing the ideas I had for my hair, I let him know I was starting a new job as a nurse, and I had some pictures of ideas. I really appreciate that he did not rush through the consultation, he really listened to my ideas/comments/concerns, offered his creative vision, and he was able to come up with a great hair masterpiece! Yes, a color and cut masterpiece! My blonde ombré is amazingly vibrant and bright. My haircut has movement and layers that show off the beautiful colors that Salvatore was able to achieve. I felt so comfortable and welcomed during the entire appointment. I am so thankful to have found this salon, I really feel more confident and even more excited to start my new job with a fresh new look!!! I can't wait until my next appointment! I got my hair styled for an event, before I got to the event half of the curls went flat, I ended up rewashing my hair and styling it myself. The women who styled my hair was very nice and convinced me to get a haircut. I made another appointment for about a week later. I was very nervous as I am trying to grow my hair out. I told my stylist that I would like a trim, and to keep the layers that my hair already had when I last got my hair cut. I really stressed that fact that I adore my long hair and am trying to grow it, I STRESSED THAT FACT. I hated my hair when she handed me the mirror and turned the chair around, my hair that had hung below my breasts now came down slightly longer than my shoulders. I paid and went to my car, upon which I started crying. I went back in to ask for a manager to discuss my disappointment and sorrow to which she stated: "its a beautiful haircut" she didn't seem to understand that this was not what I had asked for. She refunded me my money and proceed to walk away while mumbling something to herself. I will most certainly not be going back. read more

I am never one to write negatively about an experience I've had, but the coloring I got at this salon warrants a review. First off, this place is fantastic with blonde and balayage, and everybody is awesome, however, do not come here if you want to go from light to dark. I am in no way trying to be negative towards the stylist, nor will I name her/him, but the coloring I got was BEYOND horrendous. It looked good initially but then once I got home and parted it correctly, I couldn't believe that the manager actually let me walk out of his salon looking how I did. To the manager, I'm pretty sure you can figure out what client I am, so with that said, I do not want to be accommodated, and I am not looking for my money back, but PLEASE supervise your colorists while they're working. This was not done professionally at all. I wanted to love this place, but I do not feel comfortable enough to recommend this salon to anyone else. See pictures. read more
