Went back to the Dive Bar last week with two friends. No wait, many open tables, good service, excellent ambiance. All ordered the lobster rolls which we've had many times in the past. I spent forty years in the seafood business so I know what I'm talking about! This was the first time we were served frozen defrosted lobster meat which was dry and tasteless. Very disappointed! But to make matters worse today I went on line as I do every couple of weeks to review the Palm beach County Restaurant Inspection Reports (available on Google) and frankly I was stunned to read the horrible report on the most recent inspection last week. Management should be ashamed at what was discovered by the health inspector! I'm really concerned about going back to dine there. They really need to get their act together and take action to assure their clientele that this mess has been cleaned up and will not happen again!!!!! read more

We had a beautiful and relaxing lunch outside on the water. We brought my Aunt from out of town and this was actually the first time here for 5 out of 6 of us. The Hogfish Rachel Sandwich was my favorite out of everything. The sauce really took the sandwich to the next level. Forgot to take pictures of our desserts - peanut butter pie, key lime mango pie, and bread pudding with ice cream. The bread pudding was my favorite of the three. The mango key lime pie wasn't bad, but it didn't really remind me of key lime pie. Was much more dense closer to cheesecake. All in all it was a nice visit. read more

Went back to try again- bar was pretty empty- sat at bar, bartender was ok. Drinks were good. We ordered from both the happy hour menu and the main menu. From the happy hour menu we got the bang bang shrimp- they had no flavor- they were not over cooked but no real flavor. The veggie spring rolls we over cooked (I thought the grease was old - the I seen the people next to us had them and the were honey brown color- ours were dark see pictures) The two rolls we had off the happy hour menu- California roll and the spicy Kani (not spicy) were eh. We asked a serve at another restaurant earlier in the day what is a good spot for late night food. We were going to a concert and knew we would be hungry afterwards. She suggested the Dive Bar Restaurant and she was spot on, it was great! When we got there we were able to find seats at the bar right away. It was busy though! We ordered the hummus appetizer, the conch fritters and then I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was delicious! Really enjoyed the conch and I'm very picky about conch, usually it's too chewy but these were great, they were soft like crab cakes. The fish tank in the middle of the bar was cool. They had some fish and then a beautiful, big eel in it but it also saddened me because the tank seemed small for him, he should be free in the wild where he can swim around more :( read more

Finally tried this place today (last time I tried to check it out was a Beautiful Saturday at 6:00 to crowded with 1 hour wait). Very happy I came back and had the lobster roll sandwich and was one of the best I've had since moving here 4 years ago. Sat at the bar and service was friendly and prompt, thank you Kyle. Wanted to dine with a water view and this establishment was a great spot! We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Our server greeted us several minutes later and took our beverage order, once our drinks arrived- put in our food order. We ordered the Hogfish Rachel and Oyster Poorboy, both were excellent choices! The fish was delicious and cooked perfectly, the oysters were abundant, large and juicy! We all had the fries- excellent. Highly recommend the key lime martini and a chocolate martini. This place is super popular, no reservations, so you have to invest a lot of energy and planning to dine here. The fantastic water location is the main draw and the food is very good, so a great combination that gets people motivated to come. While attractive, I don't see the return on investment when there are other excellent spots that offer up great views and nice chow without the burden of the hustle bustle. Even inside the large place was packed, people seemingly having a great time. Shrimp Cocktail, Edamame, Caesar, Tuna, Lobster Roll, Key Lime, Pecan Pie... all very good. Last night, I had the pleasure of visiting this place for the first time. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the service is outstanding. The food is another story. Although I ordered fish and chips, which doesn't allow for much creativity in plating, the dishes I saw on nearby tables were presented in an incredible way. My friend ordered Chicken Milanese, and let me tell you, the dish looked like a photo straight out of a cookbook. The atmosphere is highly recommended if you're on a romantic date. Being by the water with a calm and relaxing vibe sets the stage for a pleasant conversation, free from loud music or disruptive noises. The only thing I could critique is that they don't have a dessert menu or coffee, which would be great to extend the after-meal time and keep the conversation going. Was on a lunch break and wanted to stop at this wonderful place that I've heard so much about yet. I haven't had a chance to! Such a beautiful atmosphere inside and out! Being able to sit outside on the water, it's probably one of the best part about it! I just went and sat at the bar, and was greeted kindly by Kyle, who helped me out while deciding what to drink and snack on. I decided to try just a regular jalapeño margarita in which Kyle did an amazing job with! I've then proceeded to get the Bahamian conch, which was better than I anticipated! The mango salsa that came with it actually added such a pleasurable taste to it! Though I only came for a quick appetizer and drink. I will definitely be coming back for a meal and to enjoy the outside atmosphere. I highly recommend.! read more

Always a great spot to chill and hang and have great food and beverage during your stay. I have been here many times with my brother over the past 9 or so years and never, ever had I had a negative experience. Today my wife & I came to the Dive Bar to celebrate my brother who passed away earlier in the day. Brianna who was our server did an awesome job. It's NOT a "dive" lol!! The place is lovely! And the food was excellent as well. This bar has a very nice terrace that was excellent (in December) to sit out while we enjoyed our early dinner with a view of the beautiful boats parked in this small bay, as the sun set. Perfect location for our friendly meeting ! It was not crowded at that time, and we were seated promptly. Service was top notch. Our very cordial waiter recommended the lobster roll, and my friend who is a lobster aficionado was happy to order one: she said it was one of the best she has had : bountiful of lobster and flavorful: she was in lobster heaven and highly recommends. I ordered a Sushi Bomb roll. I wanted something different, and didn't realize where it said "served tempura style" that this roll was actually fried!! What? Double yum!! I had never tasted something like this: exquisite! I was so happy I ventured out of my spicy tuna comfort zone! Anyway, we arrived hungry and went directly to our main order and gossip... so that's all I have for Yelp today. Totally recommend this Dive Bar :) Inside, the atmosphere seemed relaxed- there is a shop with access from the bar and some fish tanks to entertain you... but we went for the outdoor terrace today. The bar is in the first floor of this group of buildings surrounding this small marina, so it is possible to access directly via boat as well. We just finished dinner next-door and decided to stop by this place for an after dinner drink, and to check out the many aquariums. The main feature is a large cylinder shaped saltwater tank in the center of the bar with a circle bar around it. Lots of smaller tanks scattered throughout with pretty amazing inhabitants. Also a good size outdoor area, although it seemed a little dark out there after sunset. Other than the fish tanks, my favorite part of this visit was the man playing steel drum on the patio, really nice mood center! Our bartender was friendly, and our drinks were good, we would return for another round. read more

Yummy celebrated a birthday tonight on the patio. It was a party of 8, the dont take reservations so get there early. Luckily we got a great table with amazing view of the yachts. Started out with some calamari, edamame and oysters. The calamari was my favorite perfectly cooked. The salmon dinner was absolutely delightful lots of great flavor prepared to perfection! Also ordered a few rolls, crab cake sandwich, tuna poke, fish tacos and lobster roll. Everything was very tasty! Great presentation and service Anthony provided was very good as well! Been here a few times over the years. Honestly, I think the main attraction is just the fact that it has a nice water view with the boats and it's just an overall nice area to eat at. Inside you have fish tanks, which adds a nice theme to the seafood restaurant. The food is mediocre, and the prices are extremely high. I've never been wilded by any dishes, besides the sashimi which you literally just slice up and stick it on a plate. I think it's a nice place to go and hang out with people from out of town. If they want a quiet water view, seafood experience in Jupiter. But as a local, I'm good. For how expensive it is to go out. I want the price to match the quality of the food. I'm perfectly fine with paying $100 for a dish, but that dish needs to wow the hell out of me. We ordered on our last visit, one non-rice sushi roll, four pieces of sashimi and one beer and a cocktail and it was $70. Was not worth it. There's always room for improvement. The atmosphere at The Dive Bar is excellent. Inside there are giant fish tanks and TVs around a large bar. Outside the tables overlook the Jupiter Marina. The menu offers many sushi dishes and other options. We tried the Philly Cheesesteak which was ok. The Seafood bacon Mac and cheese was a huge portion- just too much food. Hubby and I are always willing to try a new place! Inside is self seating and outside is hostess seating. We opted to sit outside. Our table was to the end of the patio and the music didn't bother us during conversation. Of course I ordered a Cosmo with bourbon cherries but it came out with a lime. Anthony was super nice, knowledgeable and attentive to everyone. You can tell that he's been here for a minute. Hubby and I decided to share fish and chips with a side of coconut shrimp, and it was very good. The portions are really big so it's easy to share. We really didn't need the coconut shrimp lol. the view is really pretty and I especially enjoyed giving the little birds some crust from the shrimp. read more

I love the atmosphere and dockside tables. The menu is fairly diverse and the sushi was good. Place usually is busy and they're doing construction on one side of the dock so it's inaccessible. Not a knock on the restaurant but strolling the docks is part of the fun for me. The food is decent enough to keep me returning. read more

Tried to get a table for 9 this past weekend. As a courtesy I called ahead one hour to alert the hostess that we would be coming and response was basically she didn't really care. I tried to explain to her that out of a courtesy I'm letting them know so La that we wouldn't have to wait for so long and she stated it doesn't work that way. They only take call ahead for parties 4 or less... why? So on Saturday when I showed up with my table of nine I was told that I had to wait an hour and a half and possibly more for 7 PM. So I took my business somewhere else. This is how you lose customers people. And will most likely not attempted again. read more

I really wanted to like The Dive Bar, but it just didn't deliver. We waited over an hour for our table, which was frustrating to begin with, and then got seated in a dark corner with a poor view and almost no lighting. When we mentioned it, the response was basically, "yeah, we know it's a bad table," with zero effort to fix it or move us--pretty disappointing service. The food didn't make up for it either. The sushi was just okay (I've honestly had better at King Soopers in Colorado), and the lobster bisque was watery and lacked flavor. I love just how versatile Jupiter is and the plethora of restaurants there are. So I chose this one on our Saturday outing. Disclaimer, you must like seafood!!! It smells like fish. Fresh fish but it's a strong odor. There is outdoor seating but in this heat, indoors is better. Will definitely go back in winter for the outside wharf view. Indoors has about 4 high tops, first come, first serve but all were taken so there is a wrap around bar. But since the seafood is fresh and oysters are displayed on cold ice and sushi chefs working their masterpiece, it can seem like a fish market somewhat. I forgot pics of food but nothing that isn't already snapped. My son, who's never tried oysters is still raving about the Oysters Rockefeller. If 2 of you, half a dozen is nice but leaving you wanting more but that's a good thing. We also got the Mermaid Roll (lobster). Cooked perfectly. Both were enough to tide us over for an afternoon lunch, with a dinner to follow not too long after. I also chose the Watermelon spicy margarita. It's perfect and refreshing. The only off putting thing is (and this seems to be trending in the new norm), is the server gives you the credit card hand held machine. It offers you an 18 or 22% tip. Where's the 20%?, which I feel is fairly gratuitous!! And it's defaulted to 22%. I just feel like it's a trap. They're standing there.....waiting. I didn't care for that. I always tip 20% or more. Now I'm on the spot to now do the math after a nice lunch. Just not a fan. Give us the 20% option at least. Sitting at the bar area, it's not a 22% warranted tip. That's my negative on this place. So, be prepared with that. And it gets a bit hot even indoors when doors to outside are open. We'll go back in winter. And I'll use a cash option and leave a cash tip which I try to do anyway. read more

An unexpected dining experience last night at the DB..... I've lived in Jupiter for over 10 years and would be considered a Dive Bar regular. However, tonight topped any dining experience I can remember. The experience came to life when Jen, the lovely manager asked if I saw their special tonight? She said it was a whole yellow tail snapper filleted at your table. As an avid fisherman, I know yellow tail snapper, that is when my crew catches them. As she described it, I was intrigued so I ordered it. When it came I was amazed. Chef Justin ( the new chief chef) is more than an incredible chef, he's an artist. It was presented by Chef Justin & Chris the always smiling bartender. It was incredible. An unexpected delight at the Dive Bar. I've got to return to see what Chef Justin creates next. The only thing missing were my two other favorite Drink Masters, Monica and Kyle ( aka Precious ) I never expected this type of dining at the Dive Bar. You gotta go to experience this.
