I've done two dives with this company; most recently the Sea Tiger Wreck dive and last year the shallow reef dive. Both times were awesome! The Sea Tiger Wreck dive was recommended to me by a couple friends, and it did not disappoint! The best dive I've done in Oahu before and I've done 5 other dives. I never had an issue with my equipment and all the instructors were friendly and knowledgeable. I always felt safe and looked after. I also did my Sea Tiger Wreck dive solo and felt like they always included me and watched over me. They also pointed out whenever they saw something cool like the rainbow and a bunch of dolphins doing flips! In addition, I booked photographers both times and was pleased with the results! The shallow reef dive I went with a group of 4 and they turned out awesome, as did the time when I went solo. Shoutout to dive masters Miranda, Britney, photographer KC and Captain Max! Miranda was such a sweet, friendly and calming dive master. Probably one of the best dive masters I've dove with! All fantastic, which made for safe, fun dives. I'd definitely book them again!

The service at Dive Oahu is more than 5 stars. This is a perfect managed and run Dive Operation. Award winning!most deserving. Brian, Nacho, Adam,Matt, Walter,SamAustin,Holly, Emerld,Josh, Jordon, to name a few of the Captains, Dive Masters, and deck hands. The boats are clean and I could tell it was well organized and thought out. The rental gear is the best Scubapro has to offer. The dive guides had eyes open to show divers Sharks, turtles, rare box fish, rare eels, and all things fish. I booked 20 dives and this is where I will return. The owner Brian assisted me with the Oceanic IPhone underwater housing. All in all my holiday was over the moon and I cannot thank everyone enough.

Single ladies should avoid this place for surf lessons. The men who work here foster an aggressive and toxic bro culture that was a little shocking. I paid upfront for my service and should have cancelled it in retrospect because it felt predatory. The guy who led the instruction session, Honna, was disrespectful and rude to me probably because he knew he couldn't take advantage of me. So he started overtly hitting on a woman I took lessons with. He has a playboy bunny neck tattoo and when we were out in the ocean he spent more time with the other girl because he was interested in her. She was in her twenties and was traveling internationally by herself. He even asked her to come back for special lessons. Going into the ocean is risky and it requires you to trust your instructor. These guys are clearly taking advantage of that. It made what should have been a memorable positive experience one I hope to forget.

We had planned to snorkel in the bay, but all reservations were taken And when we called, the park host suggested taking a snorkeling boat out to Turtle Bay with this company. We planned this and went out early on the 7am snorkeling tour. The team was welcoming and friendly. I was nervous at first because I have only snorkeled once, and not off a boat. Bethany was patient, knowledgeable, outgoing and a mermaid in the water! I can't say enough great things about her. I soon became comfortable and loved it! It was a 3 hour trip and we saw turtles and fish. It turned out to be a highlight of our trip!

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. My friend and I went and he was recently certified, but his certification wasn't coming up when he tried to retrieve it online. They had provided alternative options that still allowed us to dive together at the end of the day. The equipment for rent provided is also high quality and well maintained! I had brought my own regulators but was comfortable enough to use theirs. I did use my own personal mask instead. A short 3mm wetsuit is provided as well. The Boat staff was also very nice and friendly. Our boat captain was Nacho, and our dive master for the day was Dan, and both were knowledgeable and patient. Next time I visit Oahu, I will definitely schedule something with them again!

Great dive, the crew was amazing Nacho, Austin and Jeff. I've done several dives thru the Caribbean, by far the best one yet.

Dan was fantastic from start to finish, making everyone feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. One thing we especially appreciated was the small group size. It created a much more personal experience, allowed for individual attention, and made all of us feel relaxed. Dan did a great job balancing safety and fun, and he was wonderful with our teenagers. The diving was great (saw eels, turtles, rays, lots of fish) and the entire operation was professional, organized, and easy to work with start to finish.

This was one of the most disappointing dive experiences I've ever had…read more We are relatively new divers and booked this trip looking for a fun, safe, and well-guided experience. What we got instead was poor dive management and a complete lack of professionalism. During the dive, I ran out of air, which is a serious and dangerous situation in scuba diving. The response from the guide was dismissive and poorly handled, which only made the situation worse. The most frustrating part of the entire experience was dealing with Gabe, the owner. He had absolutely no patience and was openly unprofessional, not just with us but in the way he interacted with others as well. There was no concern for how unsafe the situation was, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right. For an activity where safety, trust, and professionalism are critical, this operation fell short on every level. We paid nearly $700 and walked away feeling stressed, unsafe, and completely disappointed. I would strongly caution newer or less experienced divers before booking here. This is not the kind of environment where you feel supported or safe.

I walked into a few other surf and snorkel spots but they mostly carried short fins. I went with the Leaderfins which are the most affordable carbon fins. The fins do come separately from the foot pocket, so I also got their forza foot pockets. They do offer a service where they put together your fins and foot pockets but only certain people are trained on that, so I did have to pick it up just a few days later- and that service is $30. I also got a pair of diving socks to go with my fins. They have different sizes, thicknesses, and cuts (high vs low). I also got a new diving mask and snorkel. The best thing about going to a dive shop is the ability to try things on and Westside Dive has so many different options. Being able to put on the foot pockets with the diving socks or even just trying on a few different masks to find the one that best fits your face is why it's better to come in person than buying online. The service was also super friendly. I was making some big purchases, so I wanted to make sure that each component was exactly right and the staff here was helpful and overall super chill. We talked story for a bit, exchanged where we like to go diving and even some fish recipes. If you're looking for diving gear, support local and check out Westside Dive!

I've been dropping by every time we're back on the islands for over 20 years, and it's still the first stop off the plane. I will say though, service can be a little rough sometimes. Some days are good, some days not so much. But honestly, that's never been the point of this place. You're not coming here for some polished haole sales pitch of some sort, you're coming because these guys know what they're doing and they'll get you what you need so you can get back in the water. And that's where they really shine. Need a j tube? They've got it. Need a new band? They can fab it up in like 5 minutes so you can still make it to the spot on time. They almost always have exactly what I need in stock and at a fair price. You'll see some of the best divers in the islands and honestly, some of the best in the world just casually stopping in. The shirts and designs are also totally underrated. They've got their own local style and I've of course picked up a few over the years and they hold up good. Hanapa'a is one of those rare functional places you can always rely on. it's rooted in the community, and it delivers when it counts. If you dive, you already know. If you don't, this is where you start. Just don't be a Karen and you'll be good.
