ON Another note, I must say that there were a few stylist in the back and at the shampoo bowl that were extremely loud and I'm not sure what was being said as it was in Spanish and at first I thought maybe these were other clients, no it actually was the stylist talking to each other in Spanish and extremely loudly and for long periods of time! they didn't seem to be aware about any of the other clients in the salon. All of the stylist seem to be doing shampoos and color which all looked awesome, but if the volume at the bowl would have been quieter while I was in my chair, I would have been more relaxed. I have tightly coiled natural hair. I would have had to wait an hour for a stylist who is more comfortable with "textured hair". I didn't have that much extra time to wait. They were very nice. I appreciate that they didn't want to mess up my hair but at the same time it just made me feel rejected in a way. I ended up going to a different place on a whim that was pretty cheap but did a great job. Nothing against them. I just wouldn't recommend to those to have coily hair.

I wanted to see if the hair company was legit 100 human hair like they claimed since it would singe up and break and looked knotted all the time not smooth. Our kids have very different tastes, and the stylists provide great styles for all of us. My daughter and I have received numerous compliments and inquiries after transitioning to a new style. My son and husband's cuts are more subtle, but they both have difficult hair and love the service. One of the selling points for me is that they salon and stylists do not push products. They will make recommendations if you ask and have a supply of various products, but selling product is not what this salon is about. Best of all, they make us feel like family and provide excellent service, even offering to touch up or provide follow up service at no additional cost if needed. The salon shares a door with a local bakery, and folks from the bakery often wonder in to catch up on local businesses coming into Irvington and events taking place that week. You really feel like a part of the community when you come to the salon. My daughter dyed her own hair. When she was ready to switch back, Trisha worked and worked to help us restore her hair color. On several occasions the stylists have stayed late and spent extra time to provide excellent service. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
