Sabrina did a wonderful job on my wedding dress. I went around pretty much as many seamstresses I could find in Austin area at that time and her price and commitment to the work reasoned with me the most. I would say her prices were the same as I could find at other locations but her energy and excitement to get the dress ready for the wedding made me go with her. We had 4-5 30 mins fitting meetings. The boutique doesn't give reminders for the appointments, so make sure to show up on time. The dress was done on time and she took the suggestions without getting defensive throughout the process. TL;DR This place does amazing work and is super professional I had gotten my wedding dress from Second Summer Bridal, but it needed some serious tailoring. And since we were doing a destination wedding, I was going to need to carry on the dress. As with most of my dresses, the top is loose, and the bottom is tight. Sabrina didn't bat an eyelash at the alterations, and immediately gave me a quote that was really amazing and within my budget. I got the dress to her fairly early on in the process, so I had a lot of anxiety about it not fitting by the time that the wedding came along. But Sabrina was amazing and kept me calm throughout the entire process and made it as easy as possible. I genuinely looked forward to my appointments with Sabrina because she's a pleasure to be around. Beyond doing a great job on alterations, Sabrina was helpful in ways I didn't realize I needed. Having recently moved to Austin, my mom and bridesmaids all lived around the country so I went to all my appointments by myself. I had some times were I was feeling down about my body or confused about alteration decisions. Sabrina was always supportive and patient. She explained why certain steps were taken in which order and was very reliable. She also had reasonable prices. I know this I had gone to one appointment with a different seamstress who had quoted by triple. (I realize now that I had an assistant book that appointment and I think that other seamstress thought I was rich and wanted to 'milk' me. Joke's on her because I'm not rich.) Sabrina, however, quote me something more reasonable and over-delivered. Two tips for working with Sabrina: 1. I totally didn't realize there would be tax! I felt so silly when I showed up with a pre-written check for the original amount. Whoops! Just keep that in mind for your final appointment. 2. She can do things to your dress you couldn't even imagine. My dress started out strapless but it was so heavy that it kept slipping down. So, she added some should straps. Then, I was concerned about my arm fat so she added removable straps (that looked like they were originally part of the dress) that I could use for pictures/ceremony and then remove for partying. I am SO impressed with this place. My husband and I are having a photo shoot in our original wedding clothes to celebrate our tenth year anniversary. For anyone needing their gown altered don't even go anywhere else. This little boutique alterations shop should be at the top of Austin Area bridal recommendations lists. I love Sabrina and her mom. They did an amazing job on my gown. I got it off the rack at a bridal boutique sample sale and needed the gown altered because it was too long. It also just needed to be tucked in a few places and bustled but otherwise it wasn't much. I consulted with a few other places and was given an exorbitant quote that was twice more than what I paid for my gown. When I found Divine! They quote me a reasonable price and the output was exactly what I expected and imagined. I only went back a few times- one for the initial estimate, second to try the alterations, third to try the adjusted alterations and fourth to pick it up after they had it cleaned. I didn't hesitate one bit with them at the start because the moment you go in they were so personable and candid. Even when they were very busy they had a quick system and you didn't wait long. They knew exactly what I needed to get altered even before I told them. It was such a wonderful experience for me as a bride. She took out a side zipper and replaced it with a back one, shortened the length (gorgeous work on the scalloped lace), added buttons and elastic claps on the back of the lace top, and added a bustle. Sorry for my delayed review of here, but I went here to get my wedding dress altered after reading many reviews. I started off at her old location in her mom's house but then finished the job in the new location where the State Farm insurance office is. Sabrina and her mother are a class act, they really know what they are doing and she is a mover and shaker that talks a million miles a minute that is super efficient and will meet her deadlines. My biggest concern was getting my dress done in time for my wedding, and she met and exceeded my expectations. I had a lace top dress that I got on sale at David's bridal...I pretty much needed so much alterations to it that it was a new dress...so it was pricey but if you break it down as to what she did then it was worth it. I needed the entire dress chopped over at least 6 inches, it was taken in on the sides and on the shoulders. I needed to get a bustle done, and I got it pressed and steam cleaned so it looked sharp. She had to do it in many visits as the underlayer got tailored first and then the lace got tailored last. She had me walk a few times before doing final alterations and if it didn't look right, then she wouldn't say it was done and you pay her at the end. I needed last minute corrections and she got it done two days before my wedding. I was not concerned at all because she is that efficient and professional. She didn't quote me anything unreasonable and she got it done in less than 2 months compared to all of the other places that would take months and months and do sub par jobs. I recommended my mother in law here for getting her dress hemmed and she was happy. She also does regular alterations and is very reasonable for that. I love this little Columbian Mother/Daughter team that works in my neighborhood :) Sabrina (the daughter) & her mom (unsure of her name) altered my reception dress back in December. It was a tulle-style ankle length dress that I had ordered over the internet and I wanted it to be tea-length. I was on a time crunch because I had a photo shoot being done out of state with this dress in less than two weeks! They were able to have the dress finished for me in 6 days flat and it turned out so cute! I just recently went back to have my ceremony gown hemmed for the big day coming up in October. It took about 45 minutes to pin the dress to where it needed to be hemmed (I had 7 layers of material). Make sure to bring the shoes you will be wearing the day of your wedding so that they can measure accurately. I will be going for my 2nd fitting two weeks from now and they will see what it looks like in order to proceed in actually cutting the material.
