I have to say I was a little apprehensive about buying a bundle (without having ever used this business) but after trying my 1st massage today, I have to say that I am actually looking forward to my next two sessions! I tried to first contact Shari on FB, and then I tried email...but I finally had to call her to reach her. I don't think she is online much...which is ok. This was not the typical massage I am used to. The best way I can describe her practice is: 'a hybrid between a chiropractor and a masseuse". Shari uses two techniques "Ortho-Bionomy" and "Chapman's Neuro-Lymphatic Reflexes" that are very mechanical in nature. It reminded me of when I used to go to physical therapy, to heal a damaged shoulder ligament. This is truly a place where you come when you want to heal chronic back pain or when you truly need your knots to be worked out of your muscles! I was pretty relaxed during the massage, but I had to voice my needs thorough the session, I can never fully relax when I am engaged in conversation. Also, as you can see, the room is very soothing and relaxing, but there is still quite a bit of natural light filtering in from the window. So this is not the 'dark' environment that I usually prefer for deep relaxation massages. I want to reiterate that I am very satisfied with the service she provided! I think that she offers a service that is far more elaborate than the classic 'relaxing rub down in the dark'. Shari has over 25 years of experience as a masseuse! She, herself, suffers from chronic back pain; that's how she was first introduced to Ortho-bionomy by a friend. The benefits were so great that she went on to study it herself and has incorporated it into her practice. She is very personable and the office looks very soothing and relaxing. Now come to think of it, the only solution I felt like I could have happened was to just come in there sick with COVID without being transparent. I have issues with my hands going numb during the night (no it's not carpal tunnel syndrome) so I went to see if she could help me. Since this was the first session she and I talked about me. She listened and asked questions about my lifestyle. Once she figured out what she needs to do the session started the session. Like I said stretching could be uncomfortable but no worries she know what she's doing. At the end of the session she showed me how to fix my posture while sitting in the car, walking around, and how to stretch at home.
