We went this evening to Divino Pizzeria & Bar They are located in the Costco plaza on the west side of plaza near Harwood Looks are deceiving You might think it's small from the outside but when you enter it is quite spacious It has a nice classy touch and it's well kept Our server was absolutely awesome tonight He was funny friendly and attentive The menu has various pastas and pizzas to chose from along with appys They even have a happy hour that offers discounted drinks and menus items We started with the bruschetta It was really good A nice thick piece of bread with some San Marzano tomatoes on top We shared the Island Pizza Super delicious Has sausage smoked bacon and pineapple with fior de latte cheese Really really good food here and definitely a hidden gem here in Ajax

3/5: atmosphere- great decor and partial open kitchen but it was too loud. Both music and restaurant noise was amplified. 4/5: service - front of the house was great, servers were amazing and made up for the kitchen being slow and producing food that was inconsistent. 3.5/5: food - dishes that came out were tasty and well made but had to wait for a plain cheese pizza and the duck pasta had to be re-fired because the first dish was cold. It seems like the kitchen was too busy and couldn't keep up with the tickets. Overall a 3.5/5 This restaurant just needs more time to get the kitchen staff aligned with the pace on a busy night. The wait for dishes was too long - but the servers really provided strong customer service to close the gap created by the kitchen. Would we come back? Yes for sure - hopefully next time the kitchen service improves.

I loved everything about this location, the food, the service, the ambience everything was outstanding! Lots of mall parking, and the prices are fair based on the portions. I'm definitely going back.

An average Italian restaurant opens in Ajax with confusing choices. On a Sunday afternoon if your restaurant located in a busy shopping plaza has only two tables occupied, I would be concerned. I had lunch there today and it was an alright affair with some choices of ambiance and decor to be confusing and uncomfortable. The restaurant is decorated with faux crystal chandeliers, and modern furnishing which gives the appearance that they're going for finer than normal dining. However the bathrooms fixtures are residential grade, as if they decided to save money there. The ceilings are very high, coupled with the music being louder than it should be at lunchtime, made it difficult to have a conversation with Adele shouting her songs at you. Had there been more than two tables at once, I can just imagine how the sound of people talking amid the music would bounce around inside like a pinball machine. The Iberico Salami Pizza I ordered was decent but the dough was spread too thin, there was a hole in my dough big enough that my finger slipped through when I grabbed it. Topping it with basil before cooking it was also a confusing choice, I would have preferred it to go on afterwards, especially since the pizza was slightly overcooked. I've never seen it done like this anywhere else. Service was good and attentive, our waiter came by several times to check up on us and made sure we had everything we need. I feel bad that he's there with hardly a thing to do. I may come back but honestly there's better Italian food elsewhere in Durham region with a more inviting atmosphere. Once Divino figures out what it wants to be, I may be back.

We had come here on a Saturday evening after noticing this restaurant in an article in the…read morenewspaper. I had called for reservations beforehand therefore, we were guaranteed a table. The parking lot was quite small for this restaurant, with only two settings being offered for the evening; we chose the one from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The restaurant itself was also small, with tables and chairs situated in every nook of the historical home. The décor was beautiful, with many different pictures and bottles adorning the walls. We had first settled on the antipasto for one, along with the stracciatella soup. We were given a basket of bread and butter to start, which was delicious, as the bread was warm on the inside, and crunchy on the outside. The soup was authentic as can be, with delicious droplets of egg in a perfectly heated dish, tasting marvelous, bringing back a lot of wonderful memories. The antipasto platter was a tad small, costing $18.00 however, since we had our main dishes coming, we were settled with the amount that was given. For the main dishes, my husband had settled on the linguine with a multitude of fish; there was more fish than pasta, which is something that you hardly ever see in a restaurant. The meat cannelloni was fabulous, with just the perfect amount of sauce and cheese; although the cheese was a tad burnt on the top however, it didn't affect the taste in any way. Service was exceptional as well, with servers coming by often to refill our water glasses and ask how the food was. Overall, an authentic restaurant which boasted the best of Italian food in a cozy atmosphere.

Ugh I wish I could give a better review but I cannot. The first time I came here about 8 years ago…read morethe food was memorable. I came back this time around and it just wasn't the same. The best part about this place is the very friendly, warm service. Amazing people. My biggest critique is the pizza and the veggie in particular. The pizza is watery and this is likely because they put raw veggies on the pizza before it goes in the oven. An easy fix is to quickly sauté the veggie first before baking on the pizza. There was also no flavour. Just very disappointing. Kids enjoyed the cheese but in my view overall it's too pricey for what you get.

They have a great crust, with delicious toppings smothered in a generous amount of cheese. They have lots of options to build your own, or choose one of their Signature Pizzas My friend and I took advantage of a recent Buy One Get One Free special and enjoyed two great pizzas! The Garlic Special Garlic base with grilled chicken, tomatoes, and onions. (no tomato sauce) The Meat Lovers' Pepperoni, bacon, ham, spicy Italian sausage, and ground beef. Other offerings include Panzerotti, Wings, Meatballs, Pasta, Salads, and more! They also serve beer, other adult beverages, and even Kawartha Dairy ice cream.

Their pizza crust and tomato sauce are just exceptional and I knew I would be satisfied, and yes, I was very satisfied this time again!!!! We had (take out) #Pizza Margharita I appoint this as the best Margharita in Durham region. No complain. The crust, tomato sauce, cheese and big generous aromatic basil leaves - simple beauty. #Pearfect Bite This is added to another favorite of mine at 468F Wood Fired Pizza! Sweet and savory combination - Sweet pear slices meet saltiness from pancetta and 2 cheese Fior di latte, flurry ricotta. Walnut pieces added extra texture, and acidity & sweetness from glazed balsamic completes the taste of the whole. Highly recommended! #Di Parma This is good, tad salty side, but I appreciated the bitterness of arugula, nuttiness from parmigiano, and again the reduced glazed balsamic' rounding up of the whole flavors. I cannot wait coming back here again to try new pizza items (but I cannot miss Margharita - that is my must item)!
